Influence of a controlled training on habitual physical activity in patients with type 2 diabetes

Diploma thesis "Vliv řízeného tréninku na habituální pohybovou aktivitu pacientů s diabetes mellitus 2. typu" in the theoretical part deals with Type 2 diabetes (DM2T), its complications and possibilities of its therapy. Emphasis is put on physical activity as the main non-pharmacological mean influencing insulin resistance. The basic health aspects of physical activity, general recommendations and specific sport activities for DM2T patients are mentioned. We also focus on potential risks related to physical exercises. Furthermore, we examine habitual physical activity, meaning energy expenditure in daily activities. The objective of the practical part of this thesis is to determine the level of habitual physical activity of DM2T patients and to show how it is influenced by stationary bicycle exercises. The impact of regular physical activity on the health indicators, physical fitness and anthropometric parameters, is examined. The sample of patients includes 20 individuals with DM2T, who have completed insulin therapy and currently are cured with peroral antidiabetics and regime measures. Pedometer and International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) are used in order to monitor habitual physical activity. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Primary prevention problems of socio-pathologic phenomena at secondary schools

Dissertation brings summary knowledge about theory and practice of primary prevention realization of socio-pathologic phenomena within secondary school environment. Its target is to contribute to current discussion about effective prevention form in school and to enrich prevention cognition for empirical research findings. First part of dissertation is based on knowledge from several branches of science, nevertheless unifying view goes from sociál pedagogy range. Author deals with problems of socio-pathologic effects, their theoretic defínition and description of these effects that are endangering secondary school pupils. Practical part of dissertation analyses and compares approaches and problems, which are occurring in European and Czech context within primary prevention realization in secondary school. Third part is empirical research, which is set out for two phases. In the first phase is point of interest the teacher, which as an prevention methodist guarantees compliance with targets, content and prevention methods of prevention in the school. In the second phase then dissertation deals with views of secondary school pupils on selected socio-pathologic effects and prevention programs, which are in use at the schools. This thesis is an update of the bachelor work entitled "The application of physiotherapeutic tools for some tinnitus types". The original work was complemented with the latest findings in pathogenesis field and in therapy by physiotherapeutic tool. The fundamental of this diploma thesis is a study examining the quality of patients' lives with tinnitus. Wireless local network detection device

This thesis deals with Wifi and presents proposal of device for wireless network detection working in free of licence band 2,4 GHz. This work is devided into two parts. First includes a description of standart IEEE 802.11, it's apendix folowed by a description of physical and connection layer and wireless network security. In this part, basic principles of Wifi networks are explained. The second part of the thesis concerns a proposal of device for wireless networks detection. The second part also includes a list and description of used components and flow diagram, that illustrates an algorithm for wireless network detection.

Wireless data collection form engine control units

This thesis deals with implementation of a wireless interface for a module providing communication between computer and electronic control unit of an automobile. The 802.11 standard, wireless network structures and MAC sublayer were described. The thesis suggests selection of the most suitable WLAN module, testing of module's features used and the WLAN module implementation. Modifications for the next device version were developed and programs for device operation were implemented.
