Design of wooden building kit
Vinopalová, Pavla ; Bomba, Jan (advisor) ; Pánek, Miloš (referee)
This thesis describes the design of wooden building kit on the principle of gears. Summarizes the problems of calculations and graphic design for gears, work with computer software, and then the laser and the CNC device. Presents the pros and cons of making such building kits in both machining methods and draws conclusions about their suitability and economy. Provides overall production process, from market research (which similar building kits are usually trade in Czech republic nowadays), the numerical and graphic design, to verifying the functionality of the prototype. The thesis is based on scientific literature that addresses the issue of gears, tooling, surface finish of wood etc. It must also take into account the Czech legislation and standards concerning toys.
Determining the resistance of paint films due to the thickness and number of layers
Ježek, Jan ; Bomba, Jan (advisor) ; Pánek, Miloš (referee)
In the theoretical part of this work there is described the theory of coating substances: sorts of coating substances, making a coating (paint) film and requirements of coating matters. In the practical part there was being found an affect of cold liquids upon concrete coating substances, an affect of the thickness of the coating film upon the resulting surface resistence and an affect of wood upon the quality of the coating. No difference of film quality of coating substances applied to conifers and leafy wood was evidenced. The quality of coating was applied to plawood materials where pores of the upper veneer were filled with paste and so there was no difference between conifers and leafy wood. According to statistics there is no important affect upon the film quality. The coatings 80 and 150g/m2 were used, which are the limited statements of an interval recommmended by producers and the quality of coating is declared. The result: the most aggressive liquid was remover, then plum brandy, Savo liquid, vinegar and mouthwash. Jar, the preparation for washing dishes, was the least aggressive.
Advanced features of traffic shaping for 802.3 and 802.11 networks under OS Linux
Pánek, Michal ; Endrle, Pavel (referee) ; Szőcs, Juraj (advisor)
This bachelor work deals with possibilities of traffic shaping and control in OS Linux. First part of the work examines indiviual tools needed for working with data stream. The second part consideres methods intended for traffic shaping. From these methods intended for use in standarts 802.3 and 802.11 were selected and described. The second part of paper focused on Hierarchical Token Bucket and Class-based queueing method. The third part is the practical application of methods on the hardware, the measurement of the individual standards and processing into charts.
The Multifunctional House
Pánek, Martin ; Struhala, Karel (referee) ; Manychová, Monika (advisor)
The main concern of this thesis is to design a five-storey multifunctional house. The house is divided into the main living area to which it belongs especially residential units accessible by stairs from the ground floor and also basement boxes and room for prams. On the ground floor are also located the individual garage, store room and technology. The house has four floors and a basement, the basement are located mass garages. The house has a sloping wooden roof trusses.
Data-flow Control on Transport Layer
Pánek, Michal ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Koton, Jaroslav (advisor)
In order to easily send data between two end elements without congestion, methods that suitably control flow of date and evaluate possible overload state are necessary. One such method is to control the data flow directly on the transport layer. This layer offers a range of mechanisms dedicated to deal with this issue. The aim of this paper is divided into three parts. The first part describes the integration of transport layer TCP/IP model, and the ability to process TCP data stream. The second part describes methods to manage congestion, their integration by usage environment. It mainly focuses on methods of TCP Reno and TCP Vegas. Their simulation and analysis on transmission the data stream stream. The third part deals with the analysis in detail of TCP Vegas. Analyzes possible parameters for alpha a beta within the TCP Vegas, and a combination of TCP Vegas and TCP Reno.
Family house
Pánek, Martin ; Klimeš,, Vladimír (referee) ; Klimešová, Jarmila (advisor)
The main concern of this thesis is to design three storey family house. The house is divided into the main living area to the garage and basement areas and a part of an establishment. There is 2 floors in the house and there is partially a basement. The house has a flat roof.
TCP Vegas Algorithm for Controlling Throughput at the Transport Layer
Pánek, M.
In order to easily send data between two end elements without congestion, methods that suitably control flow of date and evaluate possible overload state are necessary. One such method is to control the data flow directly on the transport layer. This layer offers a range of mechanisms dedicated to deal with this issue. The aim of this paper is focused on TCP Vegas for its ability to shape the data flow and the advantages and disadvantages of its use in the network. The paper also shows the behavior of two parallel data streams using TCP Vegas.
Drug use causing economical and other burdens to students at universities in the technical fields and the humanities in the Czech Republic in the year 2015
Pánek, Martin ; Barák, Vladimír (advisor) ; Krebs, Vojtěch (referee)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is the issue of drug use causing economical and other burdens to students at universities in the technical fields and the humanities in the Czech Republic in the year 2015. The first part focuses on the history of drugs, definitions and types of drugs and anti drug policies, which show how much money is spent on them by the state. It also explains the current situation in the Czech Republic, shadow economy and the social pathologies caused by drugs. The second part focuses on analysis of data acquired from the empirical research. The results of this research show that drug use is more prevalent in students of the technical fields compared to students of the humanities, as well as being more financially taxing for them. This is explained by the fact that men are more inclined to take drugs compared to women and the majority of students in the technical fields are men.
Fair Trade: Altruismus, nebo egoismus?
Pánek, Martin ; Chalupníček, Pavel (advisor) ; Petrášek, František (referee)
This bachelor thesis discusses the issue of Fair Trade. It tries to solve the question whether Fair Trade is an altruistic, or an egoistic phenomenon. The thesis explains how the author understands the terms "altruism" and "egoism" and then describes the methodology used to distinguish between the two. The thesis largely discusses Fair Trade as development aid and questions the effectiveness of this particular kind of development aid; it clarifies what role the problem of altruism plays in it. This thesis also discusses the issue of public choice related to the main topic. It reviews some examples of public decisions and links them back to the question of altruism.
