Sýkorová, Veronika ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Autor: Bc. Veronika Sýkorová Title: Comparative analysis of the effect on disease-modifying drugs and biological therapy in functional ability in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Objective: The aim of the thesis is to compare the effect of disease-modifying drugs and biological therapy on quality of life using the disability index, which is achieved by evaluating the HAQ, grip strength the small muscles of the hand, which is tested a hand dynamometer and standing stability, which is detected by measuring on stabilometric platform. Methods: This is a pilot study using subjective and objective examination. Stabilometric and dynamometric examination and the Czech version of the Stanford Health Assessment Questionnaire validated by Rheumatology Institute in Prague 2010 were used to the analysis. Evaluation of the collected data was done using two-way analysis of variance with repetition. Results: Biological therapy and disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs have significant impact on quality of life, the strength of the small muscles of the hand and standing stability in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs have reached significant results than the biological therapy in quality of life, forces the small muscles of the right hand and standing stability. Biological...
Influence of dynamic and static warm-up on muscle strength in climbers.
Formánková, Dita ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Nováková, Tereza (referee)
Title Influence of dynamic and static warm-up on muscle strength in climbers. Objective The aim of the thesis is to assess the influence of dynamic warm-up with Thera-Band and static stretching on maximal muscle strength and its time parameters of finger flexors in dominant upper extremity in climbers. Methods Eight active climbers participated in this testing (age 32.4 ± 5.5, body weight 69.4 ± 6.5, height 176 ± 6.4). Actual performance RP was according to the French scale ranging 6b to 8a. Probands' measurements proceeded in three different days. After a specific warm-up on "boulder wall" and static stretching and dynamic warm-up with Thera-Band without stretching, there was maximal muscle strength of fingers flexors on dominant (preferred) upper limb measured by using a specific climbing test on hangboard. The second measurement assessed maximal strength of finger flexors muscle and its time parameters while proceeding of the maximum hand-grip using a hand dynamometer. Results In the experiment, none of the hypotheses came to be confirmed. There was no significant influence of static stretching and dynamic warm-up with Thera-Band on maximal muscle strength of finger flexors and the time parameters in climbers. Conclusion Despite the failure to prove the influence of the static stretching and...
Effect of strength training with vascular occlusion on the forearm flexors muscle strength
Rysová, Jana ; Baláš, Jiří (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Effect of strength training with vascular occlusion on the forearm flexor muscle strength. Aims: The aim is to determine the effect of vascular occlusion on maximum isometric strength of forearm muscles. Methodology: The research group of 8 volunteers underwent six weeks of exercise program for upper limb (UL). The exercise program was different for each upper limb. Probands practiced one UL with vascular occlusion and second one without vascular occlusion. The research group was measured maximal isometric strength of forearm muscles before the 6-week exercise block, after 3 weeks of training and after completion of the cycle. All measurements were carried out in the laboratory climbing walls FTVS UK. The results were statistically evaluated using test ANOVA with repeated measurement. Results: The results of examining the impact of vascular occlusion to increase muscle strength flexor forearm in this thesis confirmed. Testing did not find significant differences in absolute strength or relative strength between exercise with vascular occlusion and exercise without vascular occlusion. Absolute strength at exercise with vascular occlusion averaged before exercise program 422 N, after the completion of 461 N. Absolute strength at exercise without vascular occlusion averaged before exercise...

Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of the patient with the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis. Objective: The main target of this bachelor's thesis was to take up with the issue of the ankylosing spondylitis, as the rheumatic disease and to outline the possibilities of its treatment. The next target was the elaboration of the case study of the patient with this diagnose, followed by the appraisal of the therapy's effect. Methods: In the general part is concerned with the Ankylosing spondylitis issue, namely with its symptoms, manifestations, methods of examination and a subsequent treatment of this disease. The second, special section of this bachelor thesis is focused on the individual patient with ankylosing spondylitis, physiotheapy assesment, subsequent therapy and the final effect of it. Results: The results of the physiotherapeutic care of the patient were observed to be positive in objective (clinical) and subjective way. The painful situations became milder and the patient assumed a positive approach to the kinesitherapy, which she didn't have till now. Keywords: case study, ankylosing spondylitis, pain, physiotherapy, treatment, movement.

Title of bachelors thesis: Case report of physiotherapeutic care about patient with diagnosis of spondylolisthesis L4/5. Objective: The aim of this paper is to develop a case study of a patient with diagnosed spondylolisthesis L4/5. The general part of the work is dedicated to theory and theoretical information regarding the anatomy and biomechanics of movement of the lumbar spine, types of spondylolisthesis and its treatment. Further, the special section provides information about the health condition of the patient, input kinesiological analysis, conducted therapy and kinesiology output analysis, that was designed in order to evaluate the effect of therapy. Keywords: spondylolisthesis, lumbar spine, shift of the vertebral body, physiotherapy
