Růžička, Hynek ; Kohout, David (advisor) ; Beran, Karel (referee)
Legal relations between professional athletes and sports clubs in team sports Abstract The presented rigorosum thesis focuses on the legal relations between professional athletes and sports clubs in team sports. The thesis investigates professional sports contracts concluded between professional athletes and highest-level sports clubs in the Czech Republic and abroad across various fields of collective sports, in particular, contracts in ice hockey, football, basketball and cycling. The presented thesis compares domestic contracts with international professional sports contracts concluded under the most prestigious sports competitions in the USA and contracts from the Finnish top ice hockey league. The legal status of professional athletes in the Czech Republic as subjects of legal relations is examined in detail before the professional sports contracts are assessed. Consecutively, the admissibility of particular contractual arrangements under specific legal regulations is evaluated. In particular, the legal status of professional athletes is analysed in the light of the case law of the supreme courts of the Czech Republic. Moreover, the CJEU case law and its long-standing decision-making practice in this area are considered. The interpretation includes an assessment of national, European and international...
Legal aspects of the Jerusalem procedure with Adolf Eichmann
Kohout, David ; Seltenreich, Radim (advisor) ; Císař, Jaromír (referee)
-89- 6 English Résumé, Key Words Právní aspekty jeruzalémského procesu s Adolfem Eichmannem Legal Aspects of the Jerusalem Trial of Adolf Eichmann Résumé In this diploma thesis I tried to provide a more or less complete overview of legal aspects of the trial of Adolf Eichmann and to point out some of its extra-legal consequences too. This trial took place in Jerusalem and together with the pre-trial proceedings it spanned more than two years. On the course of those two years (and predominantly during the trial proceedings) many interesting legal issues arose. Firstly, the sole fact of how the Israeli secret agents had managed to seize Eichmann in the territory of another sovereign state (Argentina) amounted to a breach of the public international law and led to an international dispute that ended up before the Security Council of the United Nations. As to the trial before the national courts of Israel (the District Court in Jerusalem and the Supreme Court of Israel), many important legal issues were raised too. Besides the objection of the counsel for the defence that Israel's right to try Eichmann precluded on the mere fact of his abduction from Argentina in breach of the international law, the courts were confronted with other jurisdictional matters as well. Both of the courts strived to overcome the...
Legal-Historical Aspects of Punishment of Nazi Criminals on the Background of the Adolf Eichmann Trial

in English Dissertation Thesis David Kohout: Legal-Historical Aspects of Punishment of Nazi Criminals on the Background of the Adolf Eichmann Trial This Dissertation on the topic of "Legal-Historical Aspects of Punishment of Nazi Criminals on the Background of the Adolf Eichmann Trial" seeks to analyze the main approaches to the prosecution and punishment of the Nazi crimes. It was chosen to use the trial of Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem in years 1961 - 1962 as a connecting thread of this whole work. It was so not only due to the individual remarkableness of the trial but also due to the fact that it was in many ways a very illustrative for the previous legal development until that time. Additionally, many commentators of this trial attribute it a great impact on the renewal of the interest in the prosecution of former Nazis who were implicated in perpetration of crimes committed until 1945 and who remained at large after the end of war. Therefore this Thesis goes beyond the Eichmann trial and focuses on its broader context in material but also personal sense (in the text it often referred to cases of prosecution of close collaborators of Adolf Eichmann). In the opening chapters this Dissertation, however, starts with events that go far back in time before the Adolf Eichmann trial. This is for the...
Impact Of Cyber Security On Data Volume In Smart Metering
Kohout, David
Smart metering is a new way of monitoring power grid and it can make billing of electricityconsumption much easier. These systems can be marked as elements of critical infrastructure,so it needs to be protected. For cost-effective communication with smart meters, we need to findcompromise between frequency of reading, data volume and cyber security.
DLMS security suite implementation
Kohout, David ; Sláčik, Ján (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on smart meters cyber security using DLMS Security Suite standard. Security is more important every day and DLMS specifies multiple methods of authentication and message encryption which is defined in Security Suites. For message creation there are multiple possible formats that can be used. For a better understanding all formats are analysed and compared using a specific example. Main part of this work is about making a testing application called VUT DLMS Tester which is used for testing this standard for real usage in distribution network. Whole development is cooperated with distribution companies and smart meter manufacturers. Application also implements higher levels of security which DLMS specifies. This application is used for testing multiple scenarios regarding security impact on data volume.

Vochoska Haindlová, Markéta ; Kohout, David (advisor) ; Ondřejek, Pavel (referee)
Sports arbitration Abstract In this thesis, I address international sports arbitration and its application to solving a variety of legal issues. Simultaneously, I describe significant issues related to doping and performance enhancing substance abuse. I provide thorough analyses of individual international arbitration bodies; their governance over athletic environment, and appeal and dispute resolution procedures. This thesis points out selected organizational and procedural issues of international arbitration and its bodies and suggests possible solutions. I use a number of significant and notable arbitration cases (including legal case of a client I personally represented in front of the Court of Arbitration for Sport) to support argument. Keywords: sports law, arbitration proceedings, International Court of Arbitration for Sport, strict liability, doping
DLMS/COSEM load generator
Kohout, David ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Lieskovan, Tomáš (advisor)
This work is focused on Smart Metering, specifically the DLMS/COSEM specification. The paper describes most important parts of the standard and its application in smart grids. At first the DLMS protocol is examined. It is responsible for everything related in communication between clients and servers. Next described think is object model COSEM and its objects called OBIS. It shows how can we reference to these objects. In the second part – Traffic analyser are shown options of analysis of DLMS messages. This is after used for monitoring purposes. There is also described network topology including laboratory equipment. All devices were used for developing and testing the load generator of DLMS messages. App, which was created for this work is then described. The paper also assesses found problems in security and implementation of DLMS protocol.
