Design of an electronic tag for personal localization and safety
Vrlík, Martin ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This work explains development of device which is being designed for aplication in an industrial areas whre an worker can get close to dangerous machines. In each chapter there will be explained result and step by step progress of developing this device. Then there will be description of function and used parts in completed device.
Sport robot
Slovák, Tomáš ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Háze, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on design and manufacture of two legged walking robot, that has 3D printed parts and is battery powered with the option to be remotely controlled.
Numeric keyboard
Hladký, Pavel ; Novák, Lukáš (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of numeric keyboard, which can be connected to personal computer or laptop through USB interface. This numeric keyboard can be also configured using application for operating system Windows. Backlight pattern generator is also part of this application. Theoretic part deals with various types of keyboards, switches and closer description of USB interface. Practical part deals with sole design of circuit that detects keystrokes and sends information about active switches through USB, description of used components, description of microcontroller service routine and description of the application for backlight pattern generating. At the end of this thesis are described results of measurements which were made to choose mechanical switches with shortest debounce time and keyboard response to key press.
Electronic information card
Karmazín, Michal ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Šandera, Josef (advisor)
This master thesis deals with design and construction of the electronic information card. Display consists of 8×32 LED matrix in a modular form which is soldered to the mainboard via edge. In the thesis there are described available circuit solutions, realization, technological description of connection between display module and mainboard and measurements made for verification of parameters.
The monitoring system for smart concrete construction condition
Brouček, Jan ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Macháň, Ladislav (advisor)
This thesis describes designing of a wireless system which allows to transmit measured data of sensors made of smart concrete. Measured data are transmitted from measuring points to the collecting unit, which stores them, and pass them to the server which is connected in the Internet network. The design of the system is focused to achieve low power consumption of all used components to provide the longest possible operation time, when using primary lithium cell. The design should be also able to provide possibility of easy modification of the measuring points.
Ecological evaluation and labeling of electrical products
Kantorová, Aneta ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Szendiuch, Ivan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the possibilities of reducing the negative effects of electrical products on the environment. After a general description of the current state, including activities aimed at awarding environmental labels, attention is focused on the possibilities of ecological evaluation of electrical products. Legislation according to the standards of the ISO 14020 series is applied for this that are focused on three possibilities of awarding eco-labels. In the practical part a procedure for awarding the ECO mark according to the ISO 14021 standard is proposed. This could be granted by the manufacturers themselves on compliance with the prescribed conditions as in the case of the declaration of conformity for the CE marking.
Control electronics for biohazard box
Pavlas, Lukáš ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Macháň, Ladislav (advisor)
This work deals with the design of the electronic driver system for working conditions monitoring in the laboratory box. The state of the art of the laboratory boxes with the laminar convection is presented. The functional specification is made based on final customer needs, then leads to design of the possible solution. The solution is divided into two independent blocks - Main driver unit and Add-on module. The Main driver unit solution is made upon commercially available solution. The Add-on module is then designed including selection of suitable components, PCB prototype and appropriate firmware. Finally the work presents specification of implemented communication protocol for joining both parts Main driver unit and Add-on module.
Robotic hand
Pizúr, Lukáš ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design a robotic hand, which will be controlled by wireless Wi-Fi, will be equipped with a camera and for easier operation will be designed control glove. The first part of the thesis is a theoretical analysis, various variants of sensors are described, which can be used for motion detection, each drive units and their control. Next chapters are focused on used electronic modules and microcontrollers. The second part is practical and is focused on the mechanical design of a five-finger robotic hand and fixing to a robotic arm. Also described is the control electronics of the entire robotic hand and the programmed firmware. Next, the design and implementation of the control glove is described. The last chapter describes the programmed application for the Android operating system.
Power source for pulse magnetron sputtering
Schulz, Jakub ; Magát, Martin (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The presented thesis deals with the design and assembly of the generator for pulse magnetron sputtering. The designed device is capable of generating two square wave signals via its counter-working outputs. Both signals have independently adjustable frequency, pulse count and duty ratio. Both signals originate from two frequency syntheses controlled by microcontroller PIC16F877A. All the settings are entered by four buttons and are shown on an alphanumeric display with 16x4 characters. The duty ratio is adjusted using a special module.
DC/DC converter with high operating frequency for LED lightning
Coufal, Martin ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with high frequency buck converter design and manufacturing for driving power LED module. It is focused on possibilities of LEDs and DC/DC convertors usage and deals with appropriate fast components selection. Thesis describes influence of high frequency on used components and its part is design of such converter. Converter was built and its key features are described.
