The theatre Romathan (along the paths of Romany theatre: from Indian origins to the theatre Romathan)

My thesis presents a concise outline of the development of Romany dramatic and theatre culture from its Indian origins to the Slovak oiginated Theatre Romathan, which represents the actual artistic and intellectual development peak. Further on, the work deals with the crucial developmental tendencies of the artistic production within the Theatre Romathan. It also highlights the importance of the Theatre Romathan in the European context. ln the first part of my thesis I briefly point out the development of Romany theatre, drama, and theatricality in genera\. My main argument is that Romany theatricality stems from three different sources. Firstly, the roots of Romany theatricality are to be found in Doms musicians' performances in ancient India. Secondly, one has to look for the roots in the competition of Romany performers with the non-Romany artistic production of medieval mimes, histriones, ioculatores and musicians. And finally, the source of the theatricality lies in the Romany folk culture, which is manifested in songs, stories, musical and musical-dramatic performances, ceremonies, and rituals. ln the second part of my work I analyse the beginnings and the development of Romany theatre wthin the territory of former Czechoslovakia. Purpose of the thesis is a visual and theoretical approach to western genre script of movie The Brigands of Rattleborg based on a novel „The Brigands of Rattleborg“ by Craig S. Zahler. Thesis consists of two main parts, theoretical and one's own design of the visual concept. Theoretical part contains a definition of western genre and its issues, historical overview with important milestones and a list of main subgenres. The visual part contains three analysis of creative approach to western movies produced after year 2000. This part of thesis is concluded with one's own visual concept of the movie and its detailed description.
Functions of the computer management games

This thesis discusses the possibilities of using managerial games, their purpose, meaning, functions and focuses specifically on the management computer games, how it differs from classic games and what are their advantages and disadvantages. The theoretical part of thesis is also focused on why are these games discussed, why are they accepted or sometimes rejected and why they have become so popular for some managers and public gamers. This will serve me a survey conducted in the 11 April 2016 to 22 April 2016, from which it is apparent attitude of players to these games and from which you can also find out how much these games have an effect on the ability of the players. In the end I will also give a few examples of computer management games, which I consider to be appropriate illustration. I am going to familiarize all readers with my draft of the management computer game, which I have developed in C# thanks to this information, what elements the game has in common with the mentioned examples of games and what is its link to the survey conducted.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to display the world after apocalypse in a particular movie The Steel Spring based on the novel "Stalsprangert" by Per Wahloo. This thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and own proposal. The theoretical part deals with the definiton of science fiction genre and display of the world after apocalypse in a cinematography. I decided to analyze a few selected movies to show the diversity of different creative approaches of this topic. In the analysis I focused on the visual side, the use of different atmosphere and locations in the films. In the second part I used gained knowledge from analysis to make my own movie proposal of the The Steel Spring.
System approach to the Students' Union of the University of Economics in Prague

The aim of this diploma thesis is the preparation and foundation of the Students' Union of the University of Economics in Prague, which is done by Soft systems methodology. In order to achieve this aim, the thesis elaborates a theory of student organizations and student unions in the Czech Republic. It also compares a set of rules governing student organizations at chosen Czech universities with chosen foreign universities. The result of this comparison is that chosen foreign universities have more systematic policies towards their student organizations. The research part of this thesis contains Analysis two (social) and Analysis three (political) from the Soft systems methodology. The results of the research contains defined set of roles, norms, values and a distribution of power in the environment of student organizations at University of Economics. Practical part of the thesis brings two complete learning cycles of the Soft systems methodology including root definitions, CATWOE and models of purposeful activity. Based on these two learning cycles, the thesis defines the general limits of Soft system methodology for the foundation of student union at Czech universities.

This thesis outlines description and comparison of currently used application development tools for mobile devices. The thesis compares especially development of native applications (for Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows Phone) with web-based solutions with regard to the multi-platform development. Moreover, the thesis presents implementation of an experimental application for Android as well as web-based application. Both implementations are described and compared including performance tests.

VENCELIDESOVÁ, Petra: Master's thesis: Visual concept for the feature film "Puppet Syndrome", screenplay by Alena Alova, based on the novel "Petrushka syndrome" by Dina Rubina. Theatre and puppets in world cinematography. Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Theatre Faculty, Departement of Stage Design. Advisor: Doc. Ing. Arch. MgA. Ondřej Nekvasil. Prague, 2013. The aim of the thesis is to get familiar with what brings the interconnection of theatre and film, and which art mediums can be used for this purpose. By analyzing several films from various cultural backgrounds and epochs, we can gain a more complete picture of how to work with this theme. Also, the thesis examines production design and its effect in the overall atmosphere and concept of the given film. The main part of the thesis is a visual concept of the film "Puppet Syndrome", in which occurs a significantly theatrical performance as one of the main factors in the development of the story.
Aspect of initiation in Shamanism: Crosscultural comparison

This thesis deals with the shamanism and with the initiations of the shamans. In the first part the author describes these initiations at large and evokes the phenomenon of shamanism in general. The following part pursues the descriptions of the initiations in different places in the world. The selected cultures in this thesis present the traditional communities where the shamanism has a fixed position in their social structure. The author approaches the processes of initiation of shaman in the five ethnic groups of the three continents. He starts with the description of the three Siberian ethnic groups, than he continues with the North American one and he finishes with the South American one. The author emphasizes the way of the election of shaman, how and when these elections are created, and the process of the initiation ? he focuses on the visions and the rituals. In the final part of the thesis the author compares the initiations of particular cultures. These comparisons are based on the social relations between the shaman and the community.
