Aerodynamic design and analysis of "Twin Shark" glider

The thesis contains determination of real aerodynamics characteristics of PW09-135 flap airfoil with help of calibration method via CFD, followed by accomplishment of CFD analysis of parts and the whole Twin Shark glider. Detailed research and optimization was made to flow field quality of fuselage and wing fuselage junction. On the basis of CFD solution was determine a stability control, static margin and angle of attack of a horizontal stabilizer. The thesis concludes an evaluation of results applicability in praxis.

Avia BH534 airplane design as ultralight

The object of the diploma thesis is a preparation of fundamental bases for realization aerofoils of the replica of the biplane aircraft BH534 Avia. The preambule of the work balances replica against the real historic aircraft. As next the basic aerodynamics characteristics, construction of aerofoils and strenght calculation of the aerofoils are described.

Optimization of single slotted flap

The main objective of this diploma thesis is to optimize the high lift device on the wing of the Phoenix Air U-15 ultralight aircraft, so that it complies with the UL-2 regulation regarding the stalling speed – 65 KPH. This is fulfilled by optimization of the slotted flap position. Methods used include the Response Surface Method and the Computational Fluid Dynamics approach – namely Ansys Fluent v6 software package. Furthermore, the paper deals with take-off flap optimization and construction of the flap deflection mechanism.

Design VUT 022 Aircraft with Jet Engine according to CS-22 Regulation

The diploma thesis deals with the design, load calculation and stress analysis of a composite wing construction of an airplane based on the construction of the airplane VUT 001 Marabu in order to fulfil conditions of CS-22 specifications. As a part of the thesis are basic mass, moment and aerodynamic characteristic of the airplane analyzed. Also the modification of the center part of the fuselage is designed in order to enable a jet engine instalation inside the construction.

Design of UAV Rotorcraft

The Diploma thesis is concerned with aerodynamic designi of the ducted fan. The aim of this thesis is to compile the metod of the calculation for the effect of ducted fan. The thesis includes the statistical analysis of compare Rotorcraft, which is used to support the proposal of the basic design parameters. The next part of the thesis contains practical utilization, view of the possible pay load, view of the suitable engines and conrol units. The main part is concerned whit aerodynamic calculation of the stream and fan parameters. In the last part of the thesis, basic parameters of flight performances are calculated.
