Pavelková, Zuzana ; Šifta, Petr (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Master's thesis topic: Objectification of selected rehabilitation techniques used to influence the muscle tone Author: Bc. Zuzana Pavelková Branch of study: TVS_B Disertation Tutor: PhDr. Petr Šifta, Ph.D. Year of Defense: 2012 Abstract: The aim of this study was to discover, whether four selected rehabillitation techniques (dry-needling application, cryotherapy, stretching and kinesiotaping) influence the muscle tone of musculus gastrocnemius and musculus soleus. It was assumed, that above mentioned methods decrease the muscle tone of selected muscles, that was increased by previous running performance or owing to acute or chronic problems with Achilles tendon. The muscle tone was measured by myotonometer in Kinesiology laboratory, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague; muscle tone of twelve students of thisfaculty was measured. Data were displayed by using an analog- digital convertor and consequently evaluated. The results of this study indicate, that four selected rehabillitation methods influence the muscle tone of musculus gastrocnemius and musculus soleus. The muscle tone was best influenced by application of dry-needling and by kinesiotaping; results of muscle tone measurement after dry-needling application and kinesiotaping confirmed above stated...
The relationship between the occurence of a trigger point in the soleus muscle and the functional impairment of the SI joint and the possibility of their mutual influence
Judl, Jakub ; Šifta, Petr (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: The relationship between the occurrence of a trigger point in the soleus muscle and the functional impairment of the SI joint and the possibility of their mutual influence. Objectives/Aims: The aim is to write a summarization of facts based on a literature research on the complex problem of the trigger point phenomenon with a regard to their etiology and work out a pilot study to verify the relationship between the TrP and stiffness in soleus muscle and the functional impairment of the SI joint in terms of reduced joint play in the ipsilateral lower extremity. The experiment, based on objective results, is to answer the fundamental questions of whether patients with functional impairment of the SI joint leads to the formation of a TrP in the soleus muscle on the ipsilateral limb, whether the eventual dry needle therapy of a TrP in the soleus muscle will remove the malfunction of the ipsilateral SI joint, and vice versa, whether if by restoring joint play in the SI joint by mobilization therapy will have an effect on the muscle tone of the ipsilateral soleus muscle and remove the TRP. Methods: The incidence of TrP and the level of muscle tone was tested on 8 persons with functional impairment of the SI joint. Two even groups were formed. The first group had both a TrP in the soleus muscle and...
Effect of sauna om muscle tone after physical excercise
Dastych, Petr ; Šifta, Petr (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: Effect of sauna on muscle tone after physical excersise Topic definition: This thesis presents a pilot theoretical - empirical two-factor experiment, where the main subject of the experiment is to evaluate the effect of sauna on increased muscle tension after sport and its potential for use in physical therapy and recovery. Aim of the thesis: To provide a summary of theoretical knowledge related to the subject and to assess the impact of sauna usage on muscle tension occurred after short term maximal anaerobic excercise and compare it with passive rest. Methods: This thesis will be processed at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport on 6 individuals, who will be randomly divided into two equally large groups. The first three-person group will be a research one, the second three-member group will be the control group. Afterwards they will be subjected to a Wingate stress test. The experimental group will participate in sauna treatments and the control group in passive rest. Muscle tension will be measured before the load, after the load, and after the sauna / passive rest. Measurements will take place in a kinesiology lab at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. Measurements will be done by using a myotonometer and the data will be gathered via an analogue-digital converter and...
The education and its influence on children who are placed in the creche
Jungwirthová, Lucie ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Prajerová, Květa (referee)
The title of work: The education and its influence on children who are placed in the creche The scope of work: There is illustrated the possibilities of work with a group of children 1-3 years who are placed in the creche. The work determined whether child's education in the creche is developmentally more advanced than child's education in other world. and whether the use of program may be affected by developments in each area of child's educationfinally in the creche. What goals can we set when we are working with these children. And finally what we can offer to young children in the creche. The method of work: The research was carried out by the method of measurement and comparison of two groups with using standardized tests and their numerical evaluation during one calendar year at intervals of 1 month. Children were tested who are visiting creche facilities or mother's center. The result was the comparison of cleverness between children who are worked specifically in the creche every day and children who are living at home and attending mother's center only of interest. The results of work: We have come to the conclusion that children have better results in the creche than children from the mother's center after the tests were evaluated. The results showed that a difference is not very high and...

Title: Objectification of teaching assistant's job in the implementation process of a student with combined defect in primary school. Aim: Reflections on the practice of teaching assistant working for a student with a combined defect in the integrated primary school. Method: Case study refers to work of teaching assistant and integration of student with a combined defect in the primary school. Two inquiries have been carried out, first in student's class, which is aiming to find out how the integration of the pupil with a combined defect in the presence of an assistant teacher affects the other elementary school pupils in the daily process of teaching, and the second survey was intended for the teaching staff, aimed to integration's assess not only in individual subjects, but in integration as a complex. Results: The integrated way of learning affects most the family and its attitudes. The integration brought pupils important life experiences and taught them new life attitudes, concessions, compromises, team cooperation, but also an understanding and art of refusal. The results show that the presence of an integrated student in the class enriches and motivates some pupils and burdens and tires some others, and that some teachers fully rely on independent work of an assistant teacher. Key words:...
Possibilities of motoric education by girls with Rett syndrome
Martinková, Aneta ; Lejčarová, Alena (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: Possibilities of motoric education by girls with Rett syndrome Objectives: Summarization of avaiable information about Rett syndrome, by the use of a questionnaire to learn as most as possible facts from the area of motoric education and physiotherapy by girls with Rett syndrome and to work up case studie of two chosen girls with this syndrome. Methods: The non-standardized questionary was made for the work. Further, case studies, where technique of direct observation, dialogue and document analysis, were used. Results: The inquiry implies that parents of girls with Rett syndrome do, form the point of motoric edducation and physiotherapy, all what they can do. Common motoric education is not due to their medical and psychic state possible, therefore their motoric education constists of physiotherapy (Vojta's reflex locomotion, Bobath concept) and additional therapies (canistherapy, hippotherapy, music therapy, egrotherapy, swimming etc.). These therapies are mostly attended as a part of school education. Trainings take part regulary more than one time a day, not only at school or education facilitity, but at home as well. Parents use by training with their daughters various compensation and special aids, as ball of different size, types and materials. Fine and other motorics are being...
