Analysis of science & technology parks regional location in the Czech Republic and definition of their role in regional development on the Pilsen’s example.

This bachelor's thesis defines science & technology parks (STP) and their role in Czech republic's regional development. It generally identifies STP's connection with regional policy in the Czech Republic and in European Union and mentions the importance of international cooperation. The document is focused on description of last and today STP's function in the Czech Republic and on defining the STP's creation process. The priority of this document is to map the existing STP's network in the Czech Republic and to assess the efectivity and consequences of the localization by regional analysis. The benefits of STPs to regional development are specified on the Pilsen's STPs study. The object of the thesis is to assess the STP's localization in the Czech Republic and to describe the STP's role in the regional development on the Pilsen's example. The end of the document is focused on the evaluation of STP's activity in regional development and it also forecasts next STP's development in the Czech Republic.
The historical development of numbers of municipalities in the Czech area

The bachelor thesis is devoted to development of numbers of municipalities within the Czech Republic. Moreover, the thesis takes into consideration the development of municipalities and settlement of our territory from a long-term viewpoint. The introduction consists of defining fundamental terms in the area of settlement. The principal point of the thesis is the summary of settlement development and then the changes in numbers of municipalities in the Czech area from prehistoric era up to nowadays follows. Furthermore, the thesis clarifies how the number of municipalities has developed from the era of the First Czechoslovak Republic.
Comparison of the model of spatial planning in Sweden with the model used in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis Comparison of the model of spatial planning in Sweden with the model used in the Czech Republic describes the planning models in these two countries. In the case of Sweden, it is a model of spatial planning. The Czech planning model is divided into two different units -- regional and urban planning. The work is divided into four separated parts. The first part is devoted to the characteristics of Sweden in terms of socio-economic structure, which is the basis for the description of the Swedish planning model. Another part focuses on models of planning in both countries. The main part of this work consists of the comparison of the two models; the spatial / territorial and the regional planning. Furthermore, the project will discuss the determination of identical and different features and will also describe the advantages and disadvantages of the Swedish model of planning in relation to the Czech model.
The Cross-border cooperation in the Euregio Egrensis

This bachelor thesis is concerned with definition of euroregions as elements of development of border regions. It is primarily aimer at the Euregio Egrensis and its acitivities in the area of cross-border cooperation. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the activities of Euregio Egrensis in the are of cross-border cooperation and its influence on development of the region. This bachelor thesis consists of introduction, conclusion and three sections. First section is aimed an the theory and historical development of the cross-border cooperation and euroregions. Second section contains the analysis of Euregio Egrensis. Third section is aimed at the influence of Euregio Egrensis in the area of cross-border cooperation in the pre-entering period, budgetary period 2004 -- 2006 and the current budgetary period 2007 -- 2013. Major part of this chapter dedicated to selected projects of Euregio Egrensis for more detailed analysis.
Spatial planning system in Greece and its comparation with the Czech Republic

The main topic of the bachelor thesis is a characteristic of a model of spatial planning in Greece and its comparation with dual-planning model used in the Czech Republic. The first section contains the definition of basic concepts of spatial respectively land-use/regional planning. The basis of the thesis consists of analysis of planning systems in Greece and the Czech Republic and their comparison. Input basis for this analysis is socioeconomic characteristics of Greece. The analysis of used system contains outlines the institutional and legislative environment of the country. The aim of this bachelor thesis is based on an analysis of planning models capture the essential differences and common features of models of planning in both of the selected country.

Then we look at the current economic situation of the Greece and public administration. The last part is focused on the characteristics of the Greek regions, not only through economic characters.
Spatial planning in Spain

The aim of diploma thesis is to determine advantages and disadvantages of spatial planning in Spain in comparison with the system of regional and physical planning in the Czech Republic. First, there will be briefly carry out the socio-economic characteristics of Spain which will serve as a starting point to a better understanding of land use. In sequence to this characteristics will be carry out the first structural part of the thesis, i.e. complex and comprehensive characterization and evaluation of spatial planning in Spain which will be examined, both in term of historical development and in term of the legislative, institutional and economic aspects. Then, the thesis will focus on the specific spatial planning problems solved in concrete selected regions of Spain. There will be briefly characterized system of regional and physical planning in the Czech Republic. The last and fundamental part of the thesis will focus on identifying advantages and disadvantages of the system of regional and territorial planning in the Czech Republic and spatial planning in Spain.
Spatial planning in Norway - its comparation with Czech Republic

The graduation thesis Spatial planning in Norway - the comparison with Czech Republic consists of description of spatial planning systems in Norway and Czech Republic. It focuses on differences between divided (regional and spatial planning) Czech system and integrated Norwegian model. The graduation thesis is divided into five parts. The first consists of basic terms, the second of socioeconomic analysis of Norway. Third and fourth part are describing Czech a Norwegian planning models. The main part of the graduation thesis is the part in which are define deuces, differences, advantages and disadvantages of spatial planning in Norway in comparison with the divided Czech model.
