VoIP Quality Analyzer
Havelka, Ondřej ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the design and implementation of an application for analyzing Voice over IP quality using NetFlow. In the beginning, there is summarized basic information about VoIP technology and NetFlow - its principles, the most used protocols, factors that have influence on call quality and call quality rating methods. Later there is presented proposal of application and then described its implementation. The created application was tested on samples, which simulate calls in network with delays and packet-loss. Within testing was made the comparison with commercial application and the results are discussed.
Web Portal for Network Traffic Reporting
Krebs, Lukáš ; Straka, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with creating a web portal for generating statistics about the network traffic. There is presented the NetFlow technology, which is used in this thesis. Then there is described tho whole development process from analysis, design and implementation of the system to its testing. The whole program is created in languages XHTML, CSS, PHP and uses a MySQL database for a data storage. For a data mining is used NfDump.
HTTP Analyzer with Web User Interface
Rozsnyó, Tomáš ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
This work provides a description of the theoretical and implementation part of HTTP analyzer with a web interface. HTTP Analyzer processes and saves captured HTTP packets. HTTP Analyzer includes a client, whose task is to save analyzed logs to PostgreSQL database. Web interface provides the management of the PostgreSQL database and offers capability to readily and clearly see the statistics generated from the stored logs. Database management involves the manipulation of stored logs and administration of users accessing the web interface.
Web Portal for Network Traffic Reporting
Lízal, Miroslav ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis focuses on development of a web portal, which provides information about network traffic. It describes available technologies, which can be used for the network monitoring. It puts emphasis especially on NeTFlow. This paper also descirebs the whole development cycle from analysis to implementation and testing. The outcome of this work is a online system, based on PHP language and PostgreSQL database, which creates reports on the network traffic and makes them accessible via WWW. It is also able to save these reports to a PDF file.
Network Protocol Analyzer
Takács, Tamás ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor's thesis describes an implementation of a network analyzer with an easy graphical web interface. Network Analyzer captures network communication and allows the detailed analysis. Its main task is to monitor data flows and identify protocols, which are situated on application-layer model TCP / IP. Thesis describes two types of possible identification of application protocols, which are based on the port number and the payload content TCP packet / UDP datagram. Web interface provides an overview of the output values of the network analyzer.
Longest Prefix Match Algorithms
Sedlář, František ; Puš, Viktor (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with a description of basic longest prefix match (LPM) algorithms. Another algorithm - LC Trie - was added to existing implementations into the Netbench library. All the algorithms which the library includes were tested with real groups of IPv6 prefixes. They were compared on the basis of previously obtained data. Testing scripts for each of the algorithms were implemented as well as scripts for downloading groups of prefixes from significant sources on the internet.
Web Portal for Network Traffic Reporting
Klement, Ondřej ; Žádník, Martin (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
The main subject of this bachelor thesis is an proposal, analysis and implementation of the web portal for network traffic reporting. This work also deals with analysis of creating  graphs, tables and statistics from data gained by NetFlow technology. The NetFlow technology itself is the key element in this thesis and this work is based on it. The main goal of this thesis is to make a simple tool for monitoring and analyzing the network traffic by generating complex reports. For the implementation itself, PHP and HTML have been chosen. Reports will be generated as well-know PDF documents.
Ethernet Interface for Teaching HW/SW Platform FITKit
Kolařík, René ; Tobola, Jiří (referee) ; Fučík, Otto (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with extending of the teaching platform FITKit with the ethernet interface and choosing appropriate concept for this purpose. Further deals with hardware and software implementation of the chosen module and some of the basic network protocols.
Packet Classification Using FPGA Technology
Puš, Viktor ; Tobola, Jiří (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with packet classification in computer networks. The problem of packet classification is described, together with requirements for classification algorithm. Then, necessary theoretical background is introduced. Contemporary approaches to the classification are described, together with the critique of the current state of the field. The main focus of the work is the new algorithm of packet classification based on problem decomposition. Unique property of the algorithm is constant time complexity in terms of external memory accesses. Algorithm implemetation is proposed, using FPGA and one external memory. Planned prototype may achieve throughput of 64 Gbit/s in the worst case.
Longest Prefix Match Algorithms
Sedlář, František ; Matoušek, Jiří (referee) ; Tobola, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis explains basics of the longest prefix match (LPM) problem. It analyzes and describes chosen LPM algorithms considering their speed, memory requirements and an ability to implement them in hardware. On the basis of former findings it proposes a new algorithm Generic Hash Tree Bitmap. It is much faster than many other approaches, while its memory requirements are even lower. An implementation of the proposed algorithm has become a part of the Netbench library.
