Children and Youth Programmes in Czech Television

The thesis deals with the present tlevision broadcasting for children and young people at Czech television and it covers its productive, financial as well as programme side.
The work is divided into several chapters. The first one shortly describes the history of television broadcasting as such, the history of the Czech television and briefly the history of the television production for children. The second chapter discusses the necessity of the television broadcasting for children and young people from the legal point of view. Next chapter comments on the main basis, wich are nowadays needed for the television production for children and young people. The last but one chapter is concerned with the necessity to inform of public acceptance and then there are information about what part of the television production for children and young people is covered in the total broadcasting of the Czech television. Finally the thesis sums up the present circumstances in this field and gives an opinion about the way ideal children programmes and their broadcasting should look like.

Reality TV

This work is focused on the TV Reality Show so-called Real TV, its history, types and similar TV shows. It also takes in account the basic principals of functioning of reality TV. One of the chapters is dedicated to so-called Special Environmental Show ? which is the type of The Chosen or Big Brother ? and their comparison.
Furthermore the problem of TV formats is being gone through ? their legal protection, format ?packages?, advantages and disadvantages of formats in comparison with the purchase of finalized shows and the original production. There are also mentioned the most influential format Sales Representatives.
The work is partly focused on financial, legal and production issues of creating Reality TV Shows and the specifics of using product placement and sponsoring of these shows. Stand-alone sections are devoted to the ethical issues of these shows and the possibilities of future development and also to some extreme real TV shows.
In conclusion the work talks about the motives of people who enter these shows and vice versa the influence of such shows on peoples behavior.

Aspects of Digitizing in Theatrical Distribution

In this essay I would like to point out the main issues and questions concerning the subject of digitizing in theatrical distribution. I am aware of difficulty of this matter, especially in the view of its continuous progress and development. It has been one of the most debated subject matter in film industry for few recent years. It includes all participated sides including filmmakers, producers, distributors and exhibitors.
At the beginning I named briefly some basic technical aspects and informations about historical progression leading to digital projection. I wanted to accent the most important points as regards the digitizing of cinemas itself. Those are as follows: basic principal of digital projection, technical conditions of digital projection, some of existing technical standards as regards digital projection, readiness of all sides included in digital projection, fundamental economic models of digital projection and last but not least the situation in specific territories (availability of required devices and facilities such as projectors and servers accordant with standards above mentioned). In brief I took note of the state of affairs in Czech Republic in very general way.

The FAMUFEST

Head topic of my theoretical thesis is FAMU Festival. I focused mainly on the history, conceptual, communication and business features of this sopecial event, educational aspects and future prospects. The main narrative-reflection part came from my own experience at the festival in 2005. I compiled historical overview of classes and the winners from centemporary materials, film annuals and theoretical materials package NFA.

Czech television - a supporter of Czech cinematography. Czech television as a producer of cinematographic films. A major supporter of Czech cinematography. Czech Television has participated in the production of over 175 films since 1992. The past, the present age, but near future joint production relationship between with statutory Czech television. The short hindsight to history modern joint production after year 1989 and successive pensive over that, what way is possible use offer posibility and support Czech television in oder to joint production has been equal symbiosis for both sides. The reflection on the future joint production with respekt to cinematographic and television creation.

French cinematography in czech distribution

This thesis presents French films that were released in Czech distribution from 2001 to 31.7.2008. It describes means of advertising and mechanism of support of French cinematography by France. This thesis describes situation on Czech film market and the position of French cinematography on this market from the nineties to the present. It concentrates on Czech distributors who are concerned in presenting of French films and their distributive strategies. It talks in detail about the five most successful movies in Czech republic where the earlier mentioned factors are analysed.
