Bioacoustic pattern of a bat community: seasonal dynamics of bat communities in the Kruger NP, SAR.
Staňková, Markéta ; Horáček, Ivan (advisor) ; Bartonička, Tomáš (referee)
Analyzes of bat echolocation calls enable to investigate diverse patterns of bat communities without the need for contact manipulation with individuals. The continuous all-night acoustic recordings provide standardised data open to quantitative comparisons and testing effects of diverse contextual factors upon bat community structure. The multidisciplinary project MOSAIK (Monitoring Savanna Biodiversity in Kruger NP) mapping patterns of variation in savanna communities under different spatial and temporal influences includes bats as one of the model groups. At standardized monitoring points of the project (covering 20 different areas, each containing triplet points differing in access to the water surface: permanent, seasonal and the crests without a water source), all-night acoustic recordings of bats were undertaken over two seasons (using Song Meter recorders SM4BAT). All records were analyzed with aid of Kaleidoscope Pro software and cluster identification technique (with an input database developed by Weier et al. 2018 and Taylor et al. 2020) controlled by manual checking. Multiple comparisons of diverse coenologic variables of the particular samples were performed together with testing effects of associated contextual variables (geographic setting and climatic currents, seasons, vegetation,...
Sonar design in Old World bats: patterns of specialisation
Staňková, Markéta ; Horáček, Ivan (advisor) ; Lučan, Radek (referee)
Echolocation ranks among key components of adaptive setting of bats. It enabled them to evolve a plethora of diverse foraging strategies and exploit an enormous spectrum of food resources for which they represent one of the most diversified groups of terrestrial mammals with a cosmopolitan distribution. Evolution of echolocation proceeded via responses to diverse constraints and factors, both intrinsic and extrinsic, that effect particular variables of echolocation biology. The present bachelor surveys, based on literary records, briefly some of these effects and their role upon structure of bat communities. I summarize basic characteristics of echolocation types, influence of Doppler shift, strategy and use of echolocation in different environments and adaptation against defensive abilities of a prey. Among other I provide an account of history and evolution of bat detectors, the instruments essentially improving current study of that topics. Keywords: Bats, echolocation, sonar, diversity, adaptation, Old World
Native cultures of America in the exposition of the Náprstek Museum
Staňková, Markéta ; Křížová, Markéta (advisor) ; Opatrný, Josef (referee)
The thesis analyses the way in which American Indian cultures are presented to the public in the exposition of Náprstek Museum of Asian, African and American Cultures. It maps the history of the museum's founding as well as the first Czech ethnographic collections. Its second part focuses on the exposition of North and South America cultures, explaining the origin of exhibits and putting them into the context of our knowledge of indigenous cultures. Finally the thesis evaluates the museum's exposition and offers proposals for change.
Evaluation of porosity in gravity - cast Al - alloy castings
Staňková, Markéta ; Nová, Iva (referee) ; Čech, Jaroslav (advisor)
Solving of this diploma thesis is evaluation porosity in sequence on mechanical properties from different Al alloys. Castings were made by gravity casting to the iron-mould or gravity casting to the sand. Measurements (mechanical properties, porosity, DAS - dendrite arm spacing, shape factors and sphericity) were statistically analysed and dependencies which were detected were processed to the graphs.
Preparation and Financing of Public Building Order in Relation to Development of Municipalities
Krátký, Ondřej ; Stanková, Markéta (referee) ; Hroníková, Marta (advisor)
The goal of the submitted thesis „Praparation and financing public construction contract regarding developement of bundle of villages“ is to accomplish financial analysis and financial plan of Volunteer bundle of villages for water pipelines and sewerage systems Šlapanicko. First (theoretical) part is focused on describing theoretical basics of bundle of villages, financial planning and financial analysis. Practical part deals with financial analysis and financial planning of Volunteer bundle of villages for water pipelines and sewerage systems Šlapanicko with an objective of preparation for forthcomin investment project.
Entrepreneurial Intention of Business development
Žáčková, Eva ; Staňková, Markéta (referee) ; Solař, Jan (advisor)
This study deals with creating strategy of OFFICE PRO SERVICE Company. The work consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. Based on acquired information, the analysis of the current situation of the company was conducted, which included defining some of problems facing the company and the possibilities of their improvement. Proposals of some measures and evaluation of the estimated benefit were established.
Use of aluminium and its alloys in foundry industry
Laštovica, Petr ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Staňková, Markéta (advisor)
This bachelor work is focused on description of characteristics and uses of aluminium and its alloys in foundry industry. The author briefly focuses with technical pure aluminium, and then describes the characteristics, distribution and technology of aluminium alloys. After the basic characteristics of all major aluminium casting alloys, the author mentions the use of aluminium alloys in a variety of industrial sectors.
Non-ferrous alloys and their use in practice
Měřinský, Ivo ; Mikulka, Vít (referee) ; Staňková, Markéta (advisor)
This work introduces us with non-ferrous metal alloys and their applications in industry. The area is dedicated to the most widespread copper and aluminium alloys, less used alloys, such as magnesium, titanium, gold and silver alloys. For each alloy is given its manufacturing technology, distribution according to different perspectives and their properties. At the end of each chapter you can meet with examples of using alloys in practice.
Manufacture of Artistic Castings
Janošťák, Jan ; Staňková, Markéta (referee) ; Mikulka, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on types of casting methods, which are or were used for the production of art objects. Chronological cross-section through history of art casting is made at first, which is followed by an analysis of the most common methods and techniques leading to the production of art castings. The following practical part of the bachelor’s thesis concerns itself with the production of a simple art casting. The lost-wax process was used for its fabrication.
Investment casting - defects list
Šmatelka, Jakub ; Staňková, Markéta (referee) ; Mikulka, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with defects which can occurred during investment casting process. In the first part, there is briefly described investment casting process in Alucast s.r.o. company. List of all defects occurring during manufacture is described in the second part. This catalog includes majority of defects from the cast proposal to finishing operations. There are also described causes, consequences and corrective actions.
