Modification of assembly line for production of electromagnetically controlled pneumatic valves
Palacka, Martin ; Ripel, Tomáš (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with proposal of assembly line modification for production of electromagnetically controlled pneumatic valves. The beginning of this thesis is dedicated to the theoretical study the most common Poka-Yoke systems, which are used for mistake avoiding in assembly process. There is described analytical analysis FMEA, which is used for detection of weak place in process. The next chapter is focused on description of valves manufactured on this assembly line. Main part of thesis is dedicated to proposal for process modification and design solution with choosing of appropriate sensors for some operations. There are created documents as a flow-chart for control algorithm, FMEA and process flow-chart for proposal according to automotive standard and estimated budget with counted payback period for whole project in last part.
Design of robotic snake
Šumšal, Zdeněk ; Ripel, Tomáš (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This work follows up the construction, possibility of movement and practical use of bionic snakes. The first part is about the possibilities of motion of real snakes in the nature and tell us how it's possible to apply and combine those motions on a bionic snake. Second part is focused on different constructions of already existing robots which copy real snakes. The result of the work is design and realisation of the actual construction of a bionic snake using informations we already know so we can later build electronics in it and test various intelligent control programs.
Design of paraglider landing simulator
Wertheimer, Pavel ; Ripel, Tomáš (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
Practice of landing with paraglider is very inefficient since every flight requires lengthy preparation. Therefore paragliding schools look for a more efficient alternative how to train new pilots. A paraglider flying simulator, which is the subject of this Master`s Thesis, could be that alternative. The design of the simulator includes three parts: a mechanical part - a frame to hang a pilot, that is the same as in real paraglider; an electronic part - scanning of pilot`s control actions and control of force in breaks of a paraglider; and a software part - a design of firmware for a microcontroller. Within the Master`s thesis a function prototype has been made.
Design and Implementation of Active Elbow Orthosis
Ripel, Tomáš ; Mazůrek, Ivan (referee) ; Jalovecký, Rudolf (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This paper presents a novel approach to the design of a motorized rehabilitation device – active elbow orthosis (AEO) – inspired by the principles of robotic exoskeletons. The device is currently designed for the elbow joint, but can be easily modified for other joints as well. AEO determines the motion activity of the patient using a strain gauge and utilizes this measurement to control the actuator that drives the forearm part of the orthosis. Patient activity level is related to a free arm measurement obtained via a calibration procedure prior to the exercise. A high-level control module offers several types of exercises mimicking the physiotherapist. The device was successfully verified by tests on a number of patients, resulting in extended range of elbow-joint motion.

Mechanical design and realization of the concurrent magazine for yarn
Klusoň, Vladimír ; Ripel, Tomáš (referee) ; Vejlupek, Josef (advisor)
This thesis deals with a Temporaryyarn storage device for yarn produced on an industrial loom. The Temporaryyarn storage contains a driven storage drum with a rotational yarn compensor. The driven rotating storage device is coupled with the first drive supplied by an electrical motor, and the rotational compensor is coupled with a second drive- also an electrical motor. The described Temporaryyarn storage can effectively increase the level of automation of an industrial loom.
Vibration of rolling bearing
Otoupalík, Jan ; Ripel, Tomáš (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with vibrations caused by geometric defect and fatigue damage of rolling element bearing. Hardware for vibration measurement is tested on 25 new pieces of NJ 304. Second part of the thesis examines if measuring of bearing vibration can help to detect a geometric defect. Geometric defects are detected according to a spectrum of vibration but the results are not absolutely exact. The possibility to detect geometric defects by measuring vibration has not been proven. The end of project tests diagnostic methods for rolling element bearings. The bearing defect was simulated to demonstrate bearing failure frequencies, envelope method and vibration spectrum.

Design of conveyor of couplers
Klár, Pavel ; Ripel, Tomáš (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the design of conveyor of couplers with regard to the requirements for the resolution, and consisting of several parts. The first part outlines the given issue, short research study and an idea of solution. The next part concentrates on the structural design of the whole conveyor. Then the description of the first part of the conveyor including the structural design and the required calculations follow. Finally, other conveyor parts, the budget and the instruction manual are explained. The thesis includes the related drawings and all necessary calculations for other conveyors parts as well.
