Author: Ludmila Humpálová Title: Orthotic and prosthetic equipment for patients with diabetes Objectives: The main objective of the thesis is to synthesise the information from the available literature and to deliver a summary of the basic of orthotic and prosthetic equipment used for patients with diabetes. Another objective is a description of equipment's basic manufacturing processes , mainly used for patients with diabetes. This thesis should help to clarify the most common options for equipment of patients with diabetes. Methods: The basis of the analytical part is literature review. In the practical part I have consulted my findings with experienced prosthetic. During the continuous practice I process an inventory of equipment options to patients with diabetes. The frequency and possible solutions of amputations of lower limb

Title: The frequency and possible solutions of amputations of lower limb. Goals:To give an overview of causes and types of amputations. To evaluate the number of performed amputations that are based on data from. To demonstrate and evaluate possible solutions of prosthetic equipment for patients with different causes of amputations of lower limbs. Methods: The basis of a theoretical part is a literature review. The data are processed into graphs in a practical part. Case reports are created according to an expert consultation with a prosthodontist. Results: An increase of amputations of lower limb is obvious from the graphs, especialy in case of the patiens sufering from diabetes mellitus. On the other hand, the number of patients with amputations as a result of a traumatic event is decreasing. Název práce: Výběr oplachtěného plavidla pro jachting paraplegiků Abstrakt: Hledání sportovních aktivit které zmírňují následky tělesného postižení, je soudobá otázka, která se rozvojem sportu zdravotně postižených dostává do popředí celé společnosti. Spojení jachtingu a paraplegiků vytváří možnost eliminovat dopad onemocnění při jízdě na oplachtěném plavidle. Cílem práce je stanovit podmínky, za kterých lze tento sport provozovat, a definovat vhodný typ plavidla, včetně nezbytných bezpečnostních opatření. Cíl práce: Stanovit podmínky pro bezpečné provádění jachtingu paraplegiků Úkoly práce: Stanovit možnost ovládání oplachtěného plavidla paraplegiky, podle výše míšního poranění. Provést rozbor malých oplachtěných plavidel a stanovit kriteria pro výběr vhodného plavidla pro jachting paraplegiků. Určit prostředky pro bezpečné provádění jachtingu paraplegiků. Metoda: Analýza podmínek pro bezpečné provádění jachtingu paraplegiků na oplachtěném plavidle. Výsledky: Na základě této analýzy vyplývá, že částečně ovládat malé oplachtěné plavidlo může postižený v rozsahu Th2- Th5. Při postižení v oblasti Th 6- Th12 může paraplegik jezdit samostatně s dopomocí, při nižších poraněních jezdí bez omezení. Title: Post operative care of diabetes patients after lower limb amputation Objectives: This bachelor thesis focuses on post-operative care of diabetes patients with lower limb amputation and its physiotherapeutic and prosthetic aspects. Methods: The methods used are those of information research. The data were obtained through a qualitative method of data collecting as well as a secondary analysis of information coming from academic articles, journals and other publications. Results: The thesis is based on information research and information gathered is presented in a complex and coherent form. In medicine, the thesis can be used by experts as a source of information in post-operative care of patients suffering from diabetes as well some other health problems. A plus is that information presented is comprehensible to the general public. Title: The reimbursement and the calculation of the custom-made medical devices - the relationship between health insurance companies and prosthetic workplaces Objectives: The aim of this work is to define the various stakeholders in the production of the custom-made medical devices (hereinafter MD), a description of their roles, the ways of interdisciplinary cooperation and communication. Another objective was to analyze the evolution and the current state of an evidence and a reimbursement of the custom-made MD and the method of determining the contract prices and hourly billing rates for the custom-made MD manufacturers, including the method of VAT calculating. Methods: This is a theoretical work of the search character when I examined the Acts, regulations and other norms of the Czech legal system, consulted the given area with the practitioners, including the representatives of the General Health Insurance Company. Results: I managed to define the stakeholders involved in the production of the custom-made MD. I defined the list of laws that regulate the area of the production and the reimbursement of the custom-made MD. Title: Aspects of the tretment of idiopathic scoliosis. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is complete the form to submit basic information about the ways and possibilities of treatment of idiopathic scoliosis with a focus on conservative treatment with orthoses fuselage. To capture the issue of disease, not only in terms of diagnosis, but also bring aspects of adoption and then handicap orthotic aids patient. Methods: For creation of thesis was used qualitative research method of data collection and analysis of secondary data from scientific articles, magazines and publications. This information was subsequently reviewed and consulted with an expert in the field of orthotics.
