Příprava a charakterizace tenkých vrstev oxidů zirkonu a titanu
Krejčíková, Simona ; Matějová, Lenka ; Matěj, Z. ; Jirkovský, Jaromír ; Šolcová, Olga
Titania and zirconia belong to nanoporous materials with huge application potential in photocatalysis, dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cells, electrochromic devices, sensors and other applications, especially in the form of nanolayers. Differences in surface morfology, texture and crystallinity influence their catalytic impact. Therefore special attention is focused on the detailed textural and structural characterizations of thin titania-zirconia nanolayers prepared by sol-gel templated route.

Šolcová, Olga ; Matějová, Lenka ; Krejčíková, Simona ; Matěj, Z. ; Kužel, R. ; Strýhal, Z.
Our study is focused on the relationship between the number of oxyethylene units in nonionic surfactants used for preparation of a set of various titania layers by dip-coating via the sol-gel method and morphology, roughness, type of titania phase and textural properties of the prepared titania layers. Additionally, the contact angle determination as a rapid and easy method suitable for evaluation of the surface quality of the prepared titania layer has been tested, too.

Titania that is promising as catalytic agent for removing of organic impurities from waste water and air, photovoltaic cell and pigment, were studied. Doped Titania layers deposited on various substrates were prepared by sol-gel technique. Sol was prepared by using nonionic surfactants Triton X, organic solvent, water and metal precursors. Deposited gel layers were converted to anatase layers by calcination at 400°C for 4 hours or by subcritic H2O/ supercritic CO2 extraction/ subcritic CH3OH extraction (SWE/SFE/PFE). For deeper textural and structural characterization of prepared layers nitrogen physical adsorption, XRD, AFM and SEM analyses were performed.

The influence of different calcination temperature, time and temperature ramp as well as the extraction temperature and pressure on the purity and the change of TiO2 PSD width and the shift of PSD maxima were observed.

Šolcová, Olga ; Matějová, Lenka ; Hudec, P. ; Schneider, Petr
Evaluation of micropore volume and mesopore surface area in microporous-mesoporous samples is presented. For illustration, the failure of classic (two-parameter) BET equation for microporous-mesoporous samples is demonstrated.

Krejčíková, Simona ; Strýhal, Z. ; Pavlík, J. ; Kužel, R. ; Matějová, Lenka ; Šolcová, Olga
The differences in surface morphology, roughness, structural and textural properties of thin nanolayers of Titania that is promising as a catalytic agent e.g. for removing of organic impurities from waste water and air were studied. Special attention was focused on testing of superhydrophilic properties by contact angel measuring.

Kočí, K. ; Obalová, L. ; Matějová, Lenka ; Šolcová, Olga ; Plachá, D. ; Lacný, Z.
The aim of this work is to assess the effect of particle size on photocatalytic reactivity of TiO2 exemplified by the photoreduction of CO2 by water. As the particle size decreased higher methane yields over the TiO2 nanoparticles under the illumination of the light were obtained. Results were compared with yields of mathane over Degussa P25, which in non-porous. We demonstrated that photoreactivity of Degussa P25 was lower than all tested TiO2 nanoparticles.

Powder nanoporous TiO2 with narrow monodisperse pore-size distribution in the range from 2 to 30 nm were prepared by self-assemble micelle system in nonpolar and polar solvents at laboratory temperature and pressure. Nonionic surfactants Triton X-102, 100, 114, 45, 15 were used for preparation of micelle systems. Various approaches were applied for removing of residual organic matter from prepared titania gels: a) calcination, b) improved extraction by supercritical (CO2) and subcritical fluids (H2O, CH3OH) and c) the combination of both forenamed approaches.
