Options for financing the operational costs of secondary schools

Final thesis analyzes financial sources of operating cost of secondary schools. Theoretical part is paid to competencies of the founder in funding of secondary schools and to competencies of schools head. There are explained technical economic terms from financing of secondary schools. In thesis is described process compilation of budget, summary of cash flow and explained problematic value added tax. Research part of final thesis is based on make survey. In survey I investigated, if schools are using all of the available sources for financing and if they have revenues in the main activity, if they operate an additional activity and in which domain, whether schools are payers of VAT. Survey was based on randomly asked high schools, established by the Region. Practical part of research investigation brings information about problems, which are presented in front of schools problems in financial are. Thesis served summary of allocation of funds high schools and explains the choices of raising funds for secondary schools.

European migration policy : Is transition period necessary?

The paper examines if the transition period restricting free movement of labour is necessary in the case of "Eastern" enlargement. Analysis of the impact of enlargement on labour markets of original states indicates that labour migration has not expected volume. Studies based on econometric models or opinion polls sugest the same conclusions. I will provide the summary of theoretical aproaches to migration and of migration movements in Europe in the past. Then I will summarize common migration policy of European Union. Next chapters deal with the enlargement - the past enlargement experiences (Greece, Portugal and Spain), Eastern enlargement and also recent entry of Romania and Bulgaria. Iva Lokajová DEPARTMENT: The centre of school management SUPERVISOR: RNDr. Jana Marková ABSTRACT: The thesis "Headmaster as a project manager" focuses on the topic of project management in schools. The processed topic should help novice headmasters in particular with the fundamentals of project management. It explains the basic concepts of project management and deals with the description of the forms and methods of project management. It explains the basic tasks, activities and competence of the project manager in education. The research part is trying to map out a so far relatively unexplored area of project management for headmasters of primary schools and kindergartens as well as analyze and visualize the needs of school headmasters in the area. The conclusions show that although elementary schools in particular recognize the benefits of participating in projects for schools, their support in this area is inadequate. The thesis offers proposals for measures that could be used to improve support for project managers in education.

Legal (and other) aspects of the relationship founders and directors of elementary schools

1 ABSTRACT The bachelor thesis describes relationship between the founder and the director of an elementary school. The main focus is on directors of elementary schools which are part of regional education system, and are financed as subsidized organizations and are established by the region authorities, municipality or group of municipalities. The thesis aims to define various legal and other aspects that form the relationship between the founder and the director of a elementary school, and based on the research conducted by interviewing technique to determine the current bottlenecks in this relationship and how these differ depending on the type of founder. The theoretical part explains basic concepts related to the issue, presents two views on the relationship between the founder and the director. The first are the responsibilities of the director to the founders, as the supreme executive managing the organization. The second is a direct relationship founder to the person of a headmaster. The experimental part validates the research assumptions, relating examined aspects of the relationship. ICT and its use in the work of school catering manager

The bachelor thesis on a topic "ICT and its use at work of school catering manager" in its theoretic part deals with history, selection of specific programmes, their development and manager's acquisition of professional knowledge about information communication technology. The school catering managers' characteristic highlights their professional growth in an area of financing of school catering operation, extensive administration processing by means of ICT brings time saving in their manager position. ICT is a necessary implement for internal and external communication in the whole area of catering. Their ability to improve themselves in modern information technology, to acquire new information, is perceived as lifelong learning. The research part of the thesis is concerned with the structure of respondents, their satisfaction with applied software and ability to use internet and other information technologies at their work which leads to services improvement and contributes to time saving in school catering manager's working hours in different sorts of facilities in the Czech republic.
