Problematics of musculosceletal dysfunction and chains
Hofman, David ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Kučerová, Ilona (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. It discusses the possible causing factors of these disorders, their manifestations on the body, diagnostics and the possibilities of influencing them. Since this is a very common phenomenon on the human body, I chose mainly the muscle, fascia and joint structure, which I explored and described in more depth. The experimental part of this work aims to demonstrate the possible impact of the intervention of the 1.-3. ribs and claviculosternal joint as described by Ludmila Mojžíšová on the muscles of the neck (m. scalenus anterior, medius and sternocleidomastoideus). To obtain results, I used the ultrasound examination of the diameter of these muscles and Visual analogue scale (VAS) to obtain pain values before and after the intervention using this method. Title: Problematics of musculoskeletal dysfunction and chains Objectives: The first goal of this paper is to collect currently recognized sources about musculoscletal functional disorders. I have described origins of this kind of problems, manifestation of these disorders and kinds of therapy. I've focused on functional disorders of muscle, fascia and joint. Second goal of this thesis is to evaluate a top-rated Prague rehabilitation school's method. Part of Prague...

Hettiaratchi, Lukas ; Kučerová, Ilona (advisor) ; Sárazová, Daniela (referee)
Title: A Case Study of Physiotherapy on a Patient after Liver Transplantation Author: Lukas Hettiaratchi Objectives: The purpose of this work is to review in-depth theory concerning liver transplantations along with the rehabilitation process that entails it. Moreover, create an adequate case study of a patient after liver transplantation. Methods: This work is divided into two sections, the theoretical part, and the special part. The first part consists of information gathered through scientific literature, it includes the anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology of the liver. Furthermore, it dives into the specifics of liver transplantations and recommended physiotherapy. The second section exhibits a complete case study of early post-operative physiotherapy on a patient after liver transplantation. The case study was conducted during a month of clinical practice at Institut Klinické a Experimentální Medicíny (IKEM) from the 10/01/2022 - 04/02/2022. Results: The patient significantly progressed throughout the physiotherapeutic care. Their overall physical condition improved, that led to the ability of independent verticalization and gait. Keywords: Liver, transplantation, alcohol liver disease, portal hypertension, ascites, physiotherapy
Evaluating effects of training using the NeuroCom visual feedback training programme on postural stability of high-performance basketball player
Bayerová, Barbora ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Kučerová, Ilona (referee)
Title: Evaluating effects of training using the NeuroCam visual feedback training programme on postural stability of high-performance basketball players. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to compare effectiveness of two types of training programmes with visual feedback on postural stability of basketball players using the test "Limit of Stability ". Another goal is to evaluate the effect of the training programme using the "NeuroCom Smart EquiTest" machine with visual feedback on postural stability of basketball players. Methods: Quantitative research was carried out on 19 basketball players with the age of 13- 16 (15,21 ± 1,05). Firstly, all participants went through an entry level physical examination of postural stability using the "NeuroCom Smart EquiTest" (7 tests) and filled an anamnestic questionnaire. Players were then randomly divided into two groups - group A (n = 10) and group B (n = 9) and completed two types of training programmes with visual feedback on the NeuroCom Smart Equi Test machine lasting 6 weeks in total (each test lasted 3 weeks). After the first test a control physical examination was done to compare the effects of individual training programmes. The groups underwent the training programmes in different order. At the end of the 6 -week period an exit level physical...
Occurrence of ankle sprain injury among basketball players in relation to selected factors
Svatošová, Veronika ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Kučerová, Ilona (referee)
Title: Occurrence of ankle sprain injury among basketball players in relation to selected factors Objectives: The main objective of the master degree thesis is to evaluate the relationship between selected risk factors and the occurrence of ankle sprain injury among basketball players aged 15-40 who actively participated in league competitions from the regional championship to the highest league in the Czech Republic in the 2019/2020 season. Methods: The theoretical part is processed by a domestic and foreign literature research. The practical part uses the method of quantitative research in the form of descriptive analysis. The data were obtained through an anonymous non-standardized questionnaire, which was distributed among basketball players who actively participated in various league competitions in the 2019/2020 season, from the regional championship to the highest league in the Czech Republic. Analysis involved data about various risk factors for ankle sprain injury. Data from completed questionnaires were processed using descriptive statistics in Microsoft Excel. The logistic regression model (logit) was used to determine the influence of individual variables on the occurrence of ankle sprain injuries. The logistic regression model was estimated for each hypothesis using Gretl statistical...
