Mechanical Analysis of the Influence of Fabrication Tolerances on Contact Conditions between the Acetabular Cup and the Femoral Head in Total Hip Replacement
Koukal, Milan ; Horyl, Petr (referee) ; Repko, Martin (referee) ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
In endoprosthesis surgery there are typically a high percentage of implant defects, these can lead to failure of the whole prosthesis. One type of total hip replacement function loss is acetabular cup loosening from the pelvic bone. This disertation examines manufacture perturbations as one of the possible reasons for this kind of failure. Both dimension and geometry manufacturing perturbations of ceramic head and polyethylen cup were analyzed. We find that perturbations in the variables analysed here affect considered values of contact pressure and frictional moment. Furthermore, contact pressure and frictional moment are quantities affecting replacement success and durability. From obtained results it can be recommended to fit head and cup with a clearance of between 0 mm and 0.05 mm. It can not be recommend using interference type of fit because of strong deterioration of the contact conditions. Roundness perturbation of ceramic head should not exceed 0.025 mm.
Topological-geometric design and stress-strain analysis of the railroad wheel disc shape for different operating conditions on the grounds of LEFM
Brabenec, Ladislav ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Navrátil, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the behaviour of a cracked rail wheel. The aim was to perform the strain analysis of intact wheel as well as the fracture analysis of the primary direct cracked wheel. Solution includes an analysis of operating conditions, assessment of the substantiality of articular components of load, stiffness of the wheel, a comprehensive analysis of fracture of the selected railway wheel profile and optimization of the wheel shape depending on the matching fracture properties.
Stress-strain analysis of aneurysms of arteries
Mucha, Petr ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of computational model of arterial aneurysm, which respects its real geometry and constitutive behaviour. Subsequently there is explored the risk of rupture, comparing the values of the highest main stress in aneurysm´s and intact aorta´s wall. This thesis also offers the comprehensive summary and mutual comparision of current constitutive (hyperelastic) models, which are for simplicity isochoric considered. The main task of this thesis is to formulate the method for finding of „unloaded“ = „outstressed“ = „primary“ = reduced geometry, which is generally unavailable. Models of aneurysm´s geometry, used so far, present already deformed configurations from blood pressure, axial prestrech and rezidual strain.
Synergetics and Self-organization in the Economy
Balúch, Pavel ; Matušková, Kateřina (referee) ; Janíček, Přemysl (advisor)
The master thesis focuses at analysis and research of synergy and self-organization in economics. The motivation for the thesis was joining Czech Republic and other nine countries to the European Union on May 1st, 2004. The primary aim was to analyse the problem and on a model example, assuming "ceteris paribus", confirm or refute the thought, that joining the European Union has positive synergic effect for newcomers. The second meaning of synergy is solved as a sub-problem in the master thesis, where the use of synergy in logistics was analysed and opportunities improving the current situation were suggested.
Stress-strain analysis of aortic aneurysms
Man, Vojtěch ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on stress-strain analysis abdominal aortic aneurysm using ANSYS software. The model of abdominal aortic aneurysm are based on CT scans of five specific patients. The branching arteries are included to the model and one goal of this thesis is decision about their influence of the wall stress. In this thesis was used a hyperelastic materiál model, which is based on mechanical tests done on human arterial samples.
Comparative Analysis of Progressive Management Structures
Batelková, Andrea ; Koráb, Vojtěch (referee) ; Janíček, Přemysl (advisor)
The thesis is created in order to conduct a comparative analysis of organizational structure of the company. The parameters for comparison are determined. The first one is the comparative analysis of the Amoeba Management System with a Divisional Structure. The second one is the comparative analysis of Fractal and Matrix Organizational Structure. The conslusions of these analyzes determine the key parameters for management on the basis of the suggested organizational structure for effective management.
Biomechanical Studies of Facial Bone
Valášek, Jiří ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Horyl, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
Presented work deals with Biomechanical study of the facial skeleton. This work is focused on the fixation of the mandible after removal of a tumor from affected bone tissue. The aim of the work is to perform biomechanical study of the facial skeleton with subsequent detailed stress strain analysis of two mandible implants designed and manufactured for specific patients. The geometry model of mandible used for design of mandible implants and used for computational modelling has been obtained on the basis of CT data of two patients. A Theoretical-Clinical sub-study that deals with the comparison the CT data processing which is necessary for creating the model of geometry is a part of the thesis. Two models of mandible with applied mandible implant have been created for two specific patients with tumorous mandible bone tissue. Stress strain analysis has been performed for these two models. Results of the stress strain analysis of two models of mandibles with mandible implants are presented in the final chapters of the thesis. Findings of the biomechanical study have been published and applied in clinical practice.

Subject of this proposal is establishment of a new company for real estate, focusing primarily on students and provides a virtual 3D tour. The thesis is composed of theoretical and analytical parts and actual proposal solution. This part covers the respective business plan.
Analysis of crack propagation in railroad wheel under operating conditions
Navrátil, Petr ; Schmidová,, Eva (referee) ; Janíček, Přemysl (advisor)
This Master´s thesis deals with the determination of the propagation directions of primary crack in the rail vehicles wheel under operating conditions. The aim of this work is the stress-strain analysis with using fracture mechanics to examinate behaviour of primary cracks for different operating conditions, i.e. rotation, rotation with contact and assessment of refracted cracks with applied rotation and contact.
