Storage For Gpon Frames
Holik, Martin
This thesis deals with the principle of data storage from passive optical networks. The thesis contains a basic summary of differences between individual standards, but the work is primarily focused on the description of the principle of frame storage based on the GPON standard developed by the International Telecommunication Union – Telecommunication section (ITU-T), which is considered the most widespread.
Interface for management of optical line termination in passive optical network
Kováč, Dávid ; Holík, Martin (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelors thesis deals with the creation of a graphic user interface for the configuration of optical line terminal for passive optical networks. The aim of the thesis was to make the configuration of optical line terminal easier and more convenient. The graphic user interface allows the user to configure ONTs, display all connected ONTs, show the event log and to configure alarm profiles. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with getting acquainted with passive optical networks and getting familiar with how the graphical interface was created. Furthermore, there are the programming tools and the extension used to create the GUI, an explanation of how and why each part of the GUI was created, including the classes and the methods which were used, how the testing went and the results. At the end of the thesis is a manual of what needs to be installed to make the GUI work and how to use it.
Notification robot
Hudák, Filip ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Holík, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the creation of notification bot for appropriate communication channel. In theoretical part, different communication channels are compared based on price, privacy, encryption, popularity etc. Practical part describes registration and application setting of communication, tests of data acquisition and sending messages to the communication channel. It deals with the design of a communication module, which stores a token and secret key, with simplified method for sending messages. It states design and a structure of the notification bot, as well as the design of communication interfaces for the communication with third party applications. It places importance on fast and secure encryption via created communication interfaces using best practices. Next point in the pratical part describes tracking individual web pages with easy addition of web pages. In conclusion it describes Docker images installation, which is followed by own containers deployment.
GPON network security incident reporting software
Kupka, Ondřej ; Holík, Martin (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on development of software for security incident reporting from GPON networks. The theoretical part introduces the principles of GPON and provides an introduction to security incidents. The practical part is focused on the selection of suitable open-source systems and the design of an application in Python for the creation of alerts. The output of the work is the deployment of TheHive, Cortex and MISP systems and the creation of an application enabling the creation of various types of alerts based on prepared template. The thesis is finalized by a detailed description of deployment, custom configuration and testing.
System for monitoring changes in passive optical networks
Pancák, Matej ; Oujezský, Václav (referee) ; Holík, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes a design and implementation of a system for monitoring events in passive optical networks, specifically in GPON networks. The main technologies used in the implementation of this system are Apache Kafka, Docker and the Python programming language. Within the created application, several filters are implemented. This filters obtain essential information from the captured frames in terms of traffic analysis on the given network. The result of the thesis is a functional system that from the captured GPON frames obtains information about the network traffic and stores them in the Apache Kafka, where the stored data is accessible for further processing. The work also provides examples of how to process the stored data, along with information about their meaning and structure.
Web application tool for optical network monitoring
Rýdl, Pavel ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Holík, Martin (advisor)
The problematics of gigabit optical networks as well as web technologies suitable for a web tool implementation were studied within this thesis. An experimental web application for monitoring GPON frames is developed based on the proposed system architecture. The frontend is implemented using ReactJS and the Tornado web framework is used for backend implementation. Data for analysis are read from the stream using the Kafka platform.
Gpon Frame Database Design
Holik, Martin
This paper deals with design of a database for capturing and saving frames transmitted in downstream direction over gigabit passive optical network (GPON). This kind of system uses optical transfer over passive optical networks and therefore the architecture of network is different than Ethernet technology. The useful payload is encapsulated in GEM frames by using the gigabit encapsulation method. In this article, we describe basic principles of passive optical networks and a database model for saving GPON frames in the downstream direction captured by the field programmable gate array (FPGA) card. Next, the fundamental scripts for analysing physical layer operation, admission and maintenance (PLOAM) messages are discussed. Finally, a developed Python tool for advanced analysis is shown.
Testing, routing and QoS in private networks
Opravil, Tomáš ; Holík, Martin (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This thesis concerns the interaction of technologies of routing with ensuring the quality of services. It focuses on the function of routing protocols RIP and OSPF in combination with FIFO, PQ and WFQ queues of the technology DiffServ. The main output consists of two complex laboratory tasks. The first deals with theoretical research of the two mentioned above Riverbed programme technologies. The second subsequent task uses the emulator EVE-NG to aim the verification as well as deepening the acquired theoretical knowledge in practise.
