Abstract: This thesis deals with the principle of data storage from passive optical networks. The thesis contains a basic summary of differences between individual standards, but the work is primarily focused on the description of the principle of frame storage based on the GPON standard developed by the International Telecommunication Union – Telecommunication section (ITU-T), which is considered the most widespread.
