Wireless data acquisition from Bosch XDK in LabVIEW
Hlaváč, Martin ; Krejčí, Jakub (referee) ; Pikula, Stanislav (advisor)
The work summarizes what the XDK 110 is, what sensors it has, their properties and what communication interfaces can be used to communicate with the XDK device. Since the XDK 110 enables communication using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), this work presents the possibilities of solving communication using this interface, which is not yet directly supported in LabVIEW. Furthermore, scenarios for reading data from XDK 110 are proposed in the work, and then an application for reading and writing measured data from XDK in LabVIEW is developed and described.
Personality of Karel Engliš insight of contemporaries
Hlaváč, Martin ; Štaif, Jiří (advisor) ; Jančík, Drahomír (referee)
The topic of my thesis is "The Personality of Karel Englis as seen by his contemporaries". Only marginally have I touched upon the subject of Englis'scientific work and economist acti vi ties, because I think that they deserve an indi vidual attention, and I have focused primarily on the introduction of Karel Englis through the eyes of his friends, colleagues and family. Karel Engliš was an important Czech economist. Although he came from poor circumstances, he worked his way up to the top of the society in the period of the First republic. He was born on August 17, 1880 in Hrabyň, a small village near Opava. After graduating from Opava' s grammar school he continued his studies at The Faculty of Law at Charles University. During his studies he had to support himself. It was probably the difficult conditions for his studies (actually as well as for the initiation of his "adult" life) which made him a very hard working and persistent person, who followed perseveringly his goal regardless of personal sacrifice. A large number of important roles, which he was successfully performing, is the testimony of it: Minister of Finance, a governor of ČNB, a dean and rector of the Masaryk' s uni versi ty in Brno. His teaching acti vi ties and scientific work at Prague's and Brno's universities frame an important part of...
Side channel attack in cryptanalysis of symmetri and asymmetric schemes
Hlaváč, Martin ; Rosa, Tomáš (advisor) ; Klíma, Vlastimil (referee) ; Tůma, Jiří (referee)
The work summarizes author's three main results during the doctoral studies published at SAC '06 and CHES '09 conferences and the journal IET Information Security. The first two results are the side channel attacks on asymmetric schemes RSA and DSA. They are both based on the theory of lattices and are motivated by modern technologies such as Intel Pentium 4 HTT processor and the electronic passport. The last result is more technology related. It describes the method that provides optical side information and that was empoyed for the first time for the cryptanalytic purposes by the author. As an application, an attack on symmetric cipher AES running on a simple and widespread microcontroller PIC16F84A is presented.
Attacks based on side channels

The work extends the Hidden Number Problem (HNP) introduced by Boneh and Venkatesan in 1996. HNP is to find an unknown integer if several approximations of its multiples modulo N are known. New method for solving an extension of HNP (EHNP) is elaborated, taking into account the ragmentation of the information on the multiples and on the hidden number itself, as well. A real scenario application of the approach is presented - the private DSA key is extracted with the knowledge of side information on 5 signing operations. Such an information can be obtained if the signatures are generated in the unsecured environment of a Pentium 4 processor with Hyper-Threading technology.
Security Proofs in Symmetric Cryptography
Švarcová, Marie ; Rudolf, Bohuslav (advisor) ; Hlaváč, Martin (referee)
In the present work we investigate into security proofs techniques in symmetric cryptography with aim at authenticated encryption schemes. The results of this area are in each chapter shown and proven. We begin with studying security notions of symmetric cryptography and relations among them. Then we analyze security of authenticated encryption schemes designed by generic composition and introduce keyed hash functions and the NMAC scheme. The last topic we study is an authenticated encryption with associated data. Finally, we describe presented proofs generally and unify the methods used.

The constitutional position of Slovakia in Czechoslovakia (1918 - 1992)
Hlaváč, Martin ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor) ; Starý, Marek (referee)
Constitutional position of Slovakia in Czechoslovakia (1918 - 1992) ABSTRACT (ENGLISH) This thesis deals with the constitutional status of Slovakia within Czechoslovakia in the years 1918 - 1992, i.e. throughout the existence of the common state of Czechs and Slovaks. The work is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the establishment of Czechoslovakia and the period of the so-called First Czechoslovak Republic (until 1938). In addition to the establishment of Czechoslovakia itself, it deals with the agreements of exile representations that preceded it, in more detail the Slovak autonomous movement and the constitutional proposals that emerged from this environment. The second chapter is focused on the position of autonomous Slovakia in the period of the so-called second Czech-Slovak Republic (1938 - 1939), analyzes the actual and constitutional acceptance of Slovakia's autonomy within the Czecho-Slovakia. He pays attention both to the historical circumstances of the adoption of the so-called Žilina Agreement in October 1938 and the Constitutional Act on the Autonomy of Slovakia in November 1938. The third chapter describes the constitutional situation of Czechs and Slovaks during the Second World War (1939 - 1945), briefly deals with the establishment of the Protectorate of Bohemia...
Preparation and adoption of constitutional laws on the Czechoslovak federation
Hlaváč, Martin ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor) ; Kindl, Vladimír (referee)
1 Preparation and adoption of constitutional laws on the Czechoslovak federation ABSTRACT (ENGLISH) The diploma thesis is focused on the preparation of the conception, respective negotiations, and also actual implementation of the federalization of the Czechoslovak state from January 1968 to December 1970. It considers the internal political situation in the context of the state development and of the relations between the federal and national state institutions. I have divided my thesis into five chapters. The first chapter provides brief introduction into development of Czechoslovak constitutional law and Czech-Slovak relations in the period of 1944 - 1967. The second chapter describes in detail negotiations on prepared changes of constitution arrangement, main options which were discussed, process of adoption of respective constitutional law in October 1968 and description of adopted conception of federation. The third chapter deals with realization of Czechoslovak federation, the fourth one is focused on deformation (re-centralization) of federation which resulted in constitutional laws adopted in December 1970. The fifth chapter shortly describes extinction of Czechoslovak federation after Velvet revolution in 1989. Key words: History. Czechoslovakia. Federation.
