Mechanisms of granite fracturing and their implications for origin of gold-bearing veins in Mokrsko deposit

The stress concept in geology is widely used for analysis and description of tectonic events. These can be documented directly in the field or by interperetation of results gained by laboratory analysis. The expressions of brittle tectonics and geological events linked with them are often important clues leading to understanding processes giving unique forms to many localities. The origin of gold-bearing veins in Mokrsko deposit is result of long-lasting tectonic processes. During these were created at least 4 generations of brittle structures. The proximity of Variscides is the source of this brittle fracturing. Sázava pluton intruded during the syn- orogenic phase and in the Slapy apophysis of Sázava pluton started the circulation of fluids because of the contact metamorphism. These fluids were using pre-existing EW joint systems. After that, the precipitation of minerals rich in Bi-Te-Cu gave origin to the local gold-bearing mineralization. This mineralisation is partly bound to the quartz-veins localized on Mokrsko- Západ. Their thickness is often in sub-milimeter scale with very regular spacing.

The subject of this thesis is to analyze customer satisfaction of the climbing center „Tendon Wallstreet Jihlava“. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part is the goals of the work and the chosen methodology. The second part contains a theoretical description, which is based on literature. In the next part I use selected methods and analyzes to map the current situation. The last fourth part is the actual proposal based on the findings of the questionnaire survey to improve the level of customer satisfaction.
From microstructures to large-scale crustal deformations in collisional orogen: multidisciplinary approach

The thesis aims to compile response of deep-seated rocks to continental collision in the root zone of Variscan orogen exposed in Bohemian Massif. It treats the orogenic processes from the scale of microscopic grains constituting rocks through scale of individual outcrops to an overall view of ~4000 km2 large domain of the high-grade rocks. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first represents an article summarizing study of structurally most complex area - Blanský les granulite massif - published in the Mineralogy and Petrology journal (2006). The second chapter unravels regional evolution of the south Bohemian Moldanubian domain and correlates the presented results with suitable studies from other orogenic regions or with numerical models of continental collisions. The related article will be submitted to Tectonics journal in June 2007. The last section focuses on the mechanisms of deformation in the felsic granulites and extrapolates the results to rheology of the Variscan lower crust and behavior of common felsic rocks under HT HP conditions. Mechanisms of fracturing and origin of veins on Mokrsko deposit

Locality Mokrsko-west is located inside the Josef mining gallery and belongs to the ore district Psí Hory Mountains, known for its high content of micro-granular gold (~ 100 g/t). It is situated within the apophysis of Sázava tonalite, which is a part of Central Bohemian Plutonic Complex, located southerly from Prague. Besides other structural elements, the whole locality contains the network of sheeted quartz veinlets, which is the aim of this thesis. Data from vectorization and image analysis of the photographic documentation from the gallery and electron microscope has been used. The statistical approach has been used to quantify proportions of mineral phases within the quartz veinlets, their cumulative spacing and fractal distribution. Image analysis confirmed the presence of K-feldspathic metasomatism which affects the plagioclase grains. It forms rims on the edges of the quartz veinlets. The proportional relationship of K-feldspar and quartz within the veinlets wasn't confirmed. It's therefore possible that they were two separate processes of the uncertain time relation. Transfer from the lognormal distribution in histograms of vein spacing in drill-cores to the more normal distribution of the veinlets in the gallery walls was observed. Structural evolution, magnetic fabric and mechanism of exhumation of the Podolsko complex

This thesis concentrates on a detailed field and structural analysis of the Podolsko complex, Moldanubian unit, Bohemian Massif, complemented by a microstructural study and analysis of magnetic susceptibility (AMS). The Podolsko complex occupies the footwall of a major Variscan normal shear zone and is juxtaposed against the southern to southeastern margin of the Central Bohemian Plutonic complex. During the field work, more than 160 outcrops were examined, the AMS samples were taken at 25 stations, and samples for microstructural studies were taken from 12 localities. On the micro-scale, leucocratic migmatites contain abundant garnet grains which may represent relics of an earlier (ultra-)high preassure metamorphic phase. Retrogression is obvious in other samples of biotite migmatites of the Moldanubian Variegated unit. The retrogression is marked by the presence of sillimanite and chlorite. The main tectonometamorphic event in the Podolsko complex is extensive migmatization coeval with formation of pervasive flat-laying fabric. This is corroborated by the AMS study which indicates concordant steep to flat-laying magnetic and mesoscopic foliations striking NNW-SSE. Geodynamic evolution and emplacement of Eisgarn - type granitoids (Moldanubian Batholith)

English abstract This diploma thesis deals mainly with identification of magmatic (respectively magnetic) fabrics, geodynamical aspects of emplacement and geochronology of the Eisgarn granitoids. For the analysis Klenov and Mrákotín pluton were chosen, which is placed in the eastern part of the Moldanubian Batholith. This thesis contains petrological and mezoscopic structural analysis of the host metamorphic rocks of the Moldanubian Unit and it includes calculation of P-T conditions of the main mineral assemblage. This is followed by petrological, geochemical and mezoscopic structural analysis of the Klenov and Mrákotín pluton and analysis of the anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility, geochronology of the Klenov pluton, gravimetry analysis and determination of the orientation of density interfaces in different depths. Granitoids of the Klenov and Mrákotín pluton are characterized as S-type granitoids, whose protolith were probably metasedimentary rocks. From the analysis it is also evident that the Klenov pluton records lower degree of magma fractionation than the Mrákotín pluton. Structural evolution of infra- and superstructure boundary in orogens

ENGLISH ABSTRACT This work focuses on structural and deformational aspects of the crust development during orogeny, based on historical suprastructure/infrastructure concept. The uppermost suprastructure is dominated by steep fabrics, which evolved in a brittle regime within early stages of orogeny, and which sustain almost unchanged for the whole period of orogenic evolution. On the other hand, the infrastructure is located in the lower crust, where ductile processes dominate. Because the ductility is a thermally activated process, sufficiently long time is needed to heat the lower crust, and therefore the infrastructure is younger than suprastructure. Gently to shallowly dipping structures develop as a consequence of ductile flow. The aim of this study is to describe processes on the suprastructure/infrastructure boundary. Position of this boundary is closely related to brittle/ductile transition, and so that a brief introduction to rheology is included. Rheological boundaries are often places of high strain and high displacement gradients, which must be somehow accomodated. One possibility is to lose communication between adjacent levels and create a detachment plane, which is commonly supposed in the conventional thrust tectonics model.
