The EU Common Social Policy and Its Impact on the Czech Republic. Current Trends and Challenges.

The master's thesis deals with the Social Policy of the European Union, its development and current trends. Approaching the process the Social policy at the European level has undergone such directions managed its integration, and what has remained the exclusive competence of the individual Member States. The aim of the paper is a summary of developments up to the present, whether the European Union is to acquire competence in this field, which belonged for a long time largely outside the integration process. The second objective is to analyze whether the European Union sets achievable goals in the field of Social Policy. The analysis is primarily focused on the two most recent strategies, namely the Lisbon Strategy (from 2000 - 2010) and the current strategy Europe 2020 (term 2010 - 2020). These particular cases were selected because European Union has set clear objectives for which it is easy to point out whether they were accomplished or not. The results of the analysis is that the EU has done in the Social Policy field a great achievements, but often sets very ambitious goals, which is not currently able to provide. Improvement proposal of tourist orientation system in public transport system in Prague

This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of informations systems used in the system of Prague´s public transport, focusing on foreign visitors. Improvement proposal is consequently provided. In the first part are explained tourists needs and importance of public transport in Tourism. The second part includes information about basic characterstic of information systems used in public transport systems. In the third part is described Prague´s public transport system, including analysis of information systems of each subsystem. The fourth part describes improvement proposal of information system itself, focusing on foreign visitors, based on mentioned analysis and comparation with other systems of pulic transport.

Man in Karol Wojtyla's Early Work

The following work presents anthropological analysis of early publications by Karol Wojtyla. Each work (i.e. philosophical, poetical, dramatical) is gradually analyzed. Next part, it presents the comparison Wojtyla's thought of some modern thinkers and their points of view on man, to which Wojtyla directly or indirectly reacts, such as Karel Marx, Ernst Bloch, Sigmund Freud, Erich Fromm and Jean Paul Sartre.

Résumé While we are standing shyly at the beginning of the third millennium, we feel to be a part of intellectual movement that has an essential meaning for humankind. The change of paradigms has not been completed yet; we are in the middle of a great change. It shows that numerous projects dreaming about a new land, which were made real by the modern era with such effort, are deficient and turn man's sight back to an entire basis of needs that gave birth to these projects. It seems proper to ask whether this land will be a land of people. After all tragedies of 20th century this question is quite legitimate. We live in the world where man seems to be reduced to a number, size of which grows with the profit he brings. It's obvious that a definition of man depends on his social role. Here they are: a businessman, a manager, an employer and an employee. But where is the human being? Nowadays, more urgently than whenever else, Diogenes' lamp is searching for the human being. Shakespeare's dilemma to be or not to be is more than a rhetorical question. It's the historical and existential space and at the same time it's also locus theologicus . Inteligent battery charger controled by microcontroler

Universal, smart battery charger NI-Cd, NI-MH, Li-Ion a Li-Pol batteries with adjustable voltage incremental rotary position sensor in the range of 0 -25 V and currnet up to 1 A load.The charger is controlled by microcontroller ATMEGA32 – 16PU Atmel and provides thermal protection and management of the chrging voltage depending on the temperature inside the battery pack or battery cells. Setting is made througth LCD screen to be displayed in addition to the set temperature, charging voltage and battery current. To save the profile is used EEPROM memory, which is contained in the microcontroller.

Design of Modernization of Polička Railway Station

The goal of the diploma thesis is a design of the reconstruction of the Polička railway station in aim to fulfil the requirements for the movement of people with reduced mobility. It was necessary to design platforms with a height of the platform edge 550 mm above rail level. It was also required to increase the design speed in main tracks as well as to reconstruct conections of sidings. There was also included the design of reconstruction of drainage system of railway tracks.
