Measurement of pitch diameter to length measuring instrument SIP CMI Brno
Malásek, Michal ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods for inspection of internal and external threads. One of the aims of the thesis is to give reader insight into the given topic, another one is to improve and simplify process of the thread gauge check at the Czech Metrology Institute (CMI). A database of the thread gauges that are not automatically recognizable by the software used at the CMI will be created. Such thread gauges are still used in practice, but are marked according to the old standards ČSN.
Determination of measurement uncertainty nano-CMM
Brlica, Pavel ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
The topic of this master thesis is the issue of measurement uncertainty of nano-CMM, specifically SIOS NMM-1 machine. Theoretical part of the thesis consists of basic measurement uncertainty definitions, description of approaches to CMM measurement uncertainty and differences between classical CMM and nano-CMM. For measurement uncertainty calculation of nano-CMM, two method are chosen and adapted – substitution method and Monte Carlo method. These are applied in practical part for measurement uncertainty calculation of SIOS NMM-1 machine. Part of the practical part is performed measurement on machine in laboratory at the Czech Metrology institute in Brno. The outcome of this thesis is determination of measurement uncertainty of SIOS NMM-1.

Design of inspection procedure for selected revolver components
Úlehlová, Eva ; Šrámek, Jan (referee) ; Jankových, Róbert (advisor)
The goal of this master’s thesis was design of the inspection procedure for hammer and trigger of the specific revolver model. Thesis was developed in cooperation with the manufacturer of the revolvers. The theoretical part deals with the MSA methodology, which is used to assess acceptability of measurement systems. The practical part describes the current measurement system and performs gage repeatability and reproducibility study. It was confirmed that the current measurement system requires improvement. Subsequently coordinate systems were designed, based on functional features of the hammer and trigger. Automated optical measurements, based on the coordinate systems, were performed. The results from these measurements were again assessed by the gage R&R study. The analysis confirmed improvement of acceptability of the designed measurement systems. Based on these results, it is recommended to apply suggested procedures in practice. Results and recommendations of this master’s thesis can contribute to develop metrology in the company and improve the existing measurement system.
Cluster World
Delong, Marek ; Artamonov, Vasil (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
In my thesis I focus mainly on omnipresence of the internet and technology. Additionally on colapse of physical environment in online culture and infinite reproduction ability and transformability of digital matter. However, I’m also concerned about their feedback application into exhibition areas. The thesis deals with change of authorship – after an art piece gets documented, it becomes a circulating material. Authorship of an artwork is almost impossible to track down, same as the initial context. Artistic outcome switches from auratic object into a file which is a subject to the network architecture. In the last two decades the relationship between image, text, language, meaning, body, space, subject and object changed radically. The task is no longer to create unique and original art but to observe existing supplies of images and spaces as de-subjectivized.

Ambrůz, Kryštof ; Mazanec,, Martin (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
In my diploma thesis I do not deal with anything, I do not touch anything, and in the end I do not want to do anything. I work without a theme, without motivation.
Proposal of modernizing the Mesing instrument to calibrate the gauge blocks over 100 mm
Sokl, Antonín ; Jankových, Róbert (referee) ; Šrámek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis, which deals with the modernization of the Zeiss/Tesa device, which is designed to calibrate the gauge blocks, is to provide a detailed analysis of the current state of the art of this instrument and to search for gauge blocks calibration requirements. The introductory part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of basic metrological concepts and terms. One of the separate chapters contains a elaborate description of the Zeiss/Tesa device and the possibilities of its modernization. A qualified estimation of the measurement uncertainty is determined in the practical part of the thesis and a simulation of the measurement uncertainty is performed using the Monte Carlo method. The final chapter contains the technical documentation of the proposed modernization.
Expressing uncertainty of accurate lenght measurement II
Šrámek, Jan ; Pernikář, Jiří (referee) ; Koška, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is supposed to inform readers interested in the distance measurements uncertainty on practical issues connected with the solving of these troubles when utilising a frequently used calibration method - the Tesa NPL measure instrument. This measuring was implemented by the Czech Metrologic Institute, where the author works; therefore he could take advantage of his rich experience as well as experience of his superiors and colleagues. The author regards the national metrological institute (CMI) as a sufficient guarantee for the hereinafter presented materials, both regarding the professional qualification and from the perspective of formal rightness of this thesis.
Quality control of injection molded plastics using X-ray computer tomography
Figar, Erik ; Šrámek, Jan (referee) ; Jankových, Róbert (advisor)
This Master‘s thesis deals with an aplication of computed tomography as the technology for quality control check of the plastic parts made by the injection molding process. The analyses were performed on two different types of plastic parts. These parts were delivered by two companies and they included the drawing documentation and CAD models. These plastic parts were analyzed according to their qualitative requirements. The analyses included evaluation of the geometric tolerances and porosity analysis with numerical and graphical evaluation. The new module for tool correction ,which is part of VGStudio Max, was tested on parts that were not in accordance with the required tolerances. Afterwards the new corrected geometries were exported. At the end of this Master’s thesis the porosity comparison was assessed between two different voxel resolution CT data. This comparison shows the complexity of this phenomenon and the importance of voxel resolution settings.
