Implementation of the Standard IEEE 802.11ah for Transmitting M2M Data
Masár, Marek ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the implementation of standard IEEE 802.11ah into network simulator NS-3. The first part of the diploma thesis describes M2M communication for which the standard IEEE 802.11ah would be suitable. M2M communication is being more and more used in the society, that is why there is an effort to develop a new standard for this type of communication. The thesis contains a description of this standard based on technical specifications brought out by the Task Group ah (TGah). Some changes have been made in NS-3 for the purpose of this thesis in order to support this standard. In the next part there is a created scenario with basic topology in NS-3 with usage of standard IEEE 802.11ah, in which the functionality of the standard is tested. The result of this diploma thesis is a description of the changes which have been made and analysis of the output files from the simulation.
Laboratory exercises in NS3 enviroment for Advanced communication technology course
Vadkerti, Gabriel ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
This master thesis deals with creating laboratory exercises for students in simulator NS-3, where the IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, unicast and multicast transmission types, quality of services in wireless networks, furthermore protocols TCP and UDP are analyzed. The first section describes the NS-3 network simulator, the Eclipse development environment and the method how to connect them. In the next section protocols IPv4 and IPv6 are presented, the structure of the headers and the technique of fragmentation are described in detail. Based on this a laboratory exercise is created which deals with comparison of protocols IPv4 and IPv6. In the next section the types of transmissions are described, furthermore the multicast transmission type is explained more in detail. In the next practical section the second laboratory exercise is created, which deals with comparison of unicast and multicast transmission types. The subject of the following section is ensuring quality of services in data networks, the EDCA access method is discussed more in detail. In the next section the EDCA access method is implemented in a simulation as a laboratory exercise, in which the impact of the access category of EDCA to different transmission parameters is investigated. The next section deals with protocols TCP and UDP, furthermore with the structure of their headers. In the last section a laboratory exercise is created, in which the properties of the protocols TCP and UDP are compared.
QoS model for Mobile ad hoc network
Mašek, Pavel ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Vajsar, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis "QoS model for Mobile ad hoc network" focuses on the quality of services in MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc) networks. It describes MANET networks and covers the theoretical analysis of routing protocols with QoS (Quality of Service) support. Furthermore, there is processed the creation process of model MANET networks with the routing protocol DSDV (Destination-Sequenced Distance Vector) in the simulation environment NS-3 (Network Simulator 3) and its extension of QoS support. The used QoS model is subsequently modified to improve core operating parameters. The implementation of QoS parameters as well as the improvement of delay and jitter (the delay between selected packets) is verified by the functional simulation.
SAS BI reporting using XML
Špička, Michal ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Mašek, Pavel (referee)
This thesis examines various alternatives of XML technology utilization in the SAS system, particularly in its BI reporting area. It describes methods for importing and processing data stored in XML format. Especially, it is focused on exporting data in the form of XML documents. In the first part, selected XML-based technologies and specifications are described briefly. Next, there is general description of the SAS system and its BI solution. Following, the essential part of the thesis provides detailed analysis of XML processing alternatives and comparison of their suitability for use in different situations according to current requirements. The thesis also considers possible extension of SAS reporting via third-party tools, which can be achieved using XML. In the final chapters, new reporting-related procedures are proposed in order to extend basic SAS facilities, namely for use with MS Office tools. These procedures are then applied on real-world data proving their practical usability.
V této diplomové práci bych chtěl zhodnotit stav eGovernmentu v České republice, popsat jeho silné a slabé stránky a srovnat ČR s ostatními zeměmi evropské unie. Nejdříve se věnuji pojmu eGovernment jako takovému a jaké přináši jeho zavedení výhody, ale i problémy. Následně popisuji stav informační společnosti v České republice a v poslední kapitole se srovnávám Českou republiku s ostatními státy evropské unie.
