Title: Effect of training on the slackline on postural stabilization Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine whether training on the slackline affects postural stabilization of sample of sport aktive population. The aim was to detect changes in postural stabilization immediately after the first training (30 minutes) on the slackline and after long-term training on the slackline. Another aim was to determine to what extent influenced measurement on Posturomed itself postural stabilization (with help of control probands, who did not train on the slackline between measurements). Methods: The study was attended by two groups of probands with a total amount of n= 16, who are healthy, active sports, sample population in the age od 21-26 (8 men, 8 women equally represented in groups). Probands of training group attended during one month eight sessions on the standard slackline- 2.5 cm wide, 11 m long, stretched at a height of 80 cm. Probands of control group didn't train on the slackline, only underwent measurements of the same intervals. Everyone participated in the 3 measurements (always 3 attempts) at the beggining of the research, immediately after completing the first training session (control group after 1 hour), and after completion of the research (control group after 1 month), always...

Evaluation of Most Frequent Injuries of Ballet Dancers at Ballet Conservatoire
Uhlířová, Eliška ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Maršáková, Kateřina (referee)
Title: Evaluation of Most Frequent Injuries of Ballet Dancers at Ballet Conservatoire Problem specification: Dancers represent highly trained athletes exposed to injuries with limited careers in terms of their age. Therefore application of good quality regeneration and compensation methods as prevention to most of their injuries is very important. Objective: The aim of this diploma thesis is to determine injuries suffered by ballet students at the Ballet Conservatoire in Prague. The evaluation of the most frequent injuries is based on an analysis of anonymous non-standardized questionnaires. The other goal is to determine the level of regeneration and compensation for students of the Ballet Conservatoire in Prague. The intention of the research is to apply findings of the thesis in prevention of potential injuries in ballet in the future. Methods: The theoretical part of the thesis draws some information from local but mostly foreign sources. For the research a method called anonymous non-standardized questionnaire has been applied in order to analyse the most frequent injuries suffered in ballet. The other source has been interviews with ballet students of eight grades at the Ballet Conservatoire in Prague from 11 to 20 years of age to establish the level of their current regeneration and...
Evaluation plantogram and range of motion of the joints of the lower extremity with hallux valgus deformity.
Michálková, Kateřina ; Vláčilová, Ivana (advisor) ; Maršáková, Kateřina (referee)
Title: Evaluation plantogram and range of motion of the joints of the lower extremity with hallux valgus deformity. Objectives: The aim of my thesis, "Evaluation plantogram and range of motion of the joints of the lower extremity with hallux valgus deformity" is a statistical comparison of the aspects of the lower limbs in healthy subjects and people affected by hallux valgus deformity. It will be a comparison of the measured values, such as the degree of hallux valgus angle, range of motion of the hip joint to spin, Q - angle of the lower limb, position of hocks and strained soles. Methods: Plantographic evaluation of the strain on the soles on Podoscope, goniometry, photography, plantographic diagnostic method - Chippaux - a Šmírák and Sztriter - Godunov. Results: During this research, I observed twenty seven individuals. Five individuals had hallux valgus deformity, fourteen individuals had valgus position of the thumb and seven individuals had no deformity. In the course of evaluating plantogram and range of motion of the joints of the lower limb with hallux valgus deformity I observed degree of flat. This statement was confirmed at a significant level of p = 0.01 for both legs. Unfortunately in case of individuals with mild hallux valgus deformity, the proximo-distal, or disto-proximal...
Developmental coordination disorder - literature review
Kosová, Blanka ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Maršáková, Kateřina (referee)
Title: Developmental coordination disorder - literature review Objectives: The theoretical part talks about developmental coordination disorder, its diagnosis, investigations, etiology and division during the different ages of the child. The practical part compares the studies relating to atypical development of motor skills in children with developmental coordination disorder. In diploma thesis was often used shortcut CKP and DCD, depending on the source from which it was drawn. DCD is the English equivalent of the shortcut CKP. Methods: This diploma thesis has both descriptively - analytical character. It will be treated as a literature review. Results: On the basis of the researched literary sources, this thesis provides a comprehensive picture on the topic of developmental coordination disorder. This thesis evaluated the atypical motor skills in school and preschool age children with developmental coordination disorder from the perspective of different authors. It has been found, which diagnostic procedures are used and which difficulties are most limiting for the children. Keywords: developmental coordination disorder, fine motor skills, hand function, gross motor skills

Tittle: Speech fluency and motor system relations as the outcome of physiotherapy in comprehensive stuttering treatment Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to summarize the accessible literary sources about functional and structural etiology of developmental dysfluency and its effects on motor system. The next aim of this paper is to research current position of physiotherapy in comprehensive stuttering therapy. Methods: The thesis used literature research method, the specific criteria for the selection of literary sources were stated. The first part contains theoretical ground regarding general issues of dysfluency. The second, descriptive and analytical part contains several chapters describing many studies dealing with functional and organ cause of stuttering, features of stutter motor system of stutterers and the current state of physiotherapy in the issue of stuttering. Results: The thesis points out the fundamental meaning of motor system, particularly motor planning in the ethiopathogenesis of stuttering. Certain variations in the structure and function of the CNS of stuttering people have been described. These deviations are specifically manifested on the motor system effectors. The research shows that physical therapy in the complex treatment of stuttering has no clearly defined role so...

"Rehabilitation of Zone II Flexor Tendons after Surgical Repair" "Rehabilitace Zone II šlach flexorů po chirurgické korekci" (Title, Czech Language) Selected surgical procedures, postoperative casting and movement recommendations, along with rehabilitation techniques are paramount in the influence of a positive outcome in this type of injury. Encompassed in this thesis are the theoretical and practical aspects of a case study about a patient that received custom physiotherapy treatment after surgical repair of lacerated flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS) and flexor digitorum profundus (FDP) in Zone II of his third digit on his left hand. I will attempt to explain the importance of the surgical technique, casting choices, and rehabilitation program, which can affect the outcome. The case study is based on clinical work while at Ustredni vojenska nemocnice (UVN) during the time period of 09.01.2017 - 20.01.2017. The patient involved in this case study is a 31-year-old male who is 52 days after surgical repair of FDS and FDP in Zone II of his third digit on his left hand. The surgical repair was required after a work related accident where the patient lacerated his third digit in Zone II with a chisel. This thesis has been divided into two sections.
