Analysis of Sharing Networks
Blažek, Libor ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Horváth, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is the design and implementation of the protocol in OPNET Modeler. In this work will be developed all the elements have been used no default settings. In the first chapters, making simulation are defined packets. Another chapter consists of a block diagram of workstations, which are assigned to function blocks. The central process is created by the process model, also for the router. The individual elements are inserted into a variety of elements and subsequently used in the simulation. Connection is a new service that has been defined separately. One of the simulations will be created on a smaller scale and the other on a global scale with more features.

Kaláb, Vojtěch ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to develop and describe application for Mikrotik Network stress testing. The aplication is developed in high-level scripting programming language Python. The aplication allowed us to configure and display in diagram our connected routers and network stress testing. Theoretical part is focused on Mikrotik company, their development and products. Next part is about theory of network stress testing and graph theory. The last part is about aplications development, programming language Python and used tools and libraries.
Universal Metering Device for LTE Mobile Networks
IP Television
Mašek, Pavel ; Fojtová, Lucie (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The main objective of thesis is proposal and realization programme, which can be able to receive and play up multimedia stream broadcasted from server via packet networks. Protocol for transmission multimedia data is used to join connection between server and end point. And therefore protocols which handle data transmission like RTP/RTCP, RTSP and also SDP and SAP are described in thesis. Description mentioned records isn't effected to the smallest details, but acts about acquaint with problems. Further be brief described libraries that the stand by drafting application in view as well as used application that the function as the source of transmission multimedia. Than follows proposal solving and single step description of programme design in thesis. Analysis of working programme is performed in the last part of thesis.
Verification of MTCG's Influence on eNodeB Utilization in Mobile Network LTE-Advanced
Bartal, Boris ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with the problem of MTC (Machine Type Communication) devices accessing LTE (Long Term Evolution) network. First part of work contains theoretical description of MTC, LTE network and possibility of using QoS (Quality of Service) for this type of communication. Influence of simultaneous access of large number of MTC devices into LTE network is examined. A solution is proposed -- usage of MTCG. In simulation enviroment NS-3 (Network Simulator 3), two scenarios are created for simulation with and without MTCG. The results of these simulations are then compared.
Modelling of Mechanisms for Multiple Access to Mobile Network
Tinka, Zdeněk ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis „Mechanisms modelling of multi access into mobile wireless network“ is focusing the wireless network. The diploma thesis contains basic network topology of wireless standard 802.11g and utilizes key identificators of mobile node in dependency on the distance and collision controlling function for simulation purposes. In the next part of this thesis is created LTE mobile network topology, which serves for finding key identificators. In the last part is created offload topology containing both - 802.11g and LTE network. As the result are implemented offloading algorithms, which ensure data traffic switching based on comparing 802.11g and LTE key identificators. Automatically generated and shown figures providing the key statistics are the main output of this thesis.
Implementation of Communication Protocol Wireless M-BUS in Simulation Environment NS-3
Zeman, Kryštof ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on history and development of M2M com- munication, Wireless M-Bus protocol and NS-3 Network Simulator. It briefly describes characteristics of M2M communication, Wireless M-Bus and NS3 simulator. Physical and link layer of Wireless M-bus protocol are described in great detail to provide basics needed for understanding and orientation in the topic. Practical part of the thesis is focused on structure of used Simple Wireless module and basic simulation scenerio is built. The scenerio demostrates basic functions of the module.
Implementation of the Standard IEEE 802.11ah for Transmitting M2M Data
Masár, Marek ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the implementation of standard IEEE 802.11ah into network simulator NS-3. The first part of the diploma thesis describes M2M communication for which the standard IEEE 802.11ah would be suitable. M2M communication is being more and more used in the society, that is why there is an effort to develop a new standard for this type of communication. The thesis contains a description of this standard based on technical specifications brought out by the Task Group ah (TGah). Some changes have been made in NS-3 for the purpose of this thesis in order to support this standard. In the next part there is a created scenario with basic topology in NS-3 with usage of standard IEEE 802.11ah, in which the functionality of the standard is tested. The result of this diploma thesis is a description of the changes which have been made and analysis of the output files from the simulation.
Laboratory exercises in NS3 enviroment for Advanced communication technology course
Vadkerti, Gabriel ; Mašek, Pavel (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
This master thesis deals with creating laboratory exercises for students in simulator NS-3, where the IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, unicast and multicast transmission types, quality of services in wireless networks, furthermore protocols TCP and UDP are analyzed. The first section describes the NS-3 network simulator, the Eclipse development environment and the method how to connect them. In the next section protocols IPv4 and IPv6 are presented, the structure of the headers and the technique of fragmentation are described in detail. Based on this a laboratory exercise is created which deals with comparison of protocols IPv4 and IPv6. In the next section the types of transmissions are described, furthermore the multicast transmission type is explained more in detail. In the next practical section the second laboratory exercise is created, which deals with comparison of unicast and multicast transmission types. The subject of the following section is ensuring quality of services in data networks, the EDCA access method is discussed more in detail. In the next section the EDCA access method is implemented in a simulation as a laboratory exercise, in which the impact of the access category of EDCA to different transmission parameters is investigated. The next section deals with protocols TCP and UDP, furthermore with the structure of their headers. In the last section a laboratory exercise is created, in which the properties of the protocols TCP and UDP are compared.
