Game for Teaching Very Basic Programming
Rončka, Martin ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to create a game for teaching very basic programming. An analysis of current programming education games and education principles takes up the first part of this thesis. This is followed by a design and implementation of visual programming interface in Unity3d and later integration of this interface into a simple game supporting the foundings from the first part of the thesis. This thesis is then being evaluated from the technical and user perspective with the goal to analyze the effectiveness of both the visual programming interface and the game as a tool to introduce programming to non-coders.
Re-Identification of Vehicles in Video
Zapletal, Dominik ; Sochor, Jakub (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the vehicle re-identification in video problem. Vehicle re-identification is based on matching image parts obtained from different cameras. This work is focues on the re-identification itself assuming that the vehicle detection problem is already solved including extraction of a full-fledged 3D bounding box. The re-identification problem is solved by using color histograms, histograms of oriented gradients by a linear regressor. The features are used in separate models in order to get the best results in the shortest CPU computation time. The proposed method works with a high accuracy (60% true positives retrieved with 10% false positive rate on a challenging subset of the test data) in 85 milliseconds of the CPU (Core i7) computation time per one vehicle re-identification assuming the Full HD resolution video input. The applications of this work include finding important parameters like travel time, traffic flow, or traffic information in a distributed traffic surveillance and monitoring system.
Live Panorama
Jalůvková, Lenka ; Juránková, Markéta (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This batchelor`s thesis is focused on creation of live panorama. This is an innovative representation of data from streaming cameras. The input is a video from the streaming camera and the output is also stream - constantly re-drawing panorama according to the current camera position. The resulting solution is based on the SIFT algorithm for finding keypoints in the frames. Furthermore, the RANSAC algorithm is used for calculating homography for stitching images together. Re-drawing the panorama requires weighting of edges. The functionality of the proposed solution was tested on a series of testing video recordings.
Generation and Maintenance of Java Classes Based on Apiary Blueprint
Vývojáři, kteří využívají služeb Apiary pro vytváření dokumentace k API a zároveň používají některé vývojové prostředí z rodiny IntelliJ IDEA, mají nyní možnost stažení Apiary Blueprint Manageru ( ABM ).
Android app - Energy Monitor with Prediction
John, Tomáš ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
The thesis describes process of creation mobile application used for recording and processing data from consumption energy meters. Application targets on devices with operating system Android. The task was to study similar solutions and then design and implement own one. Enriched by the possibility of predict future energy consumption, using historical outdoor temperatures. Also bring the optional OCR (Optical Character Recognition) reading meter's values. Weather data obtain from internet weather service. And from stored data be able to make user- rendly charts and statistics showing energy consumption.
Augmented Reality Using Video from a Stationary Camera
Tinka, Jan ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to provide an interactive scene editor prototype as a way to compensate for the limited static object recognition capabilities of the fixed-camera-based approaches to augmented reality. The final result is an editor developed in the Unity game engine, which can be used to create simple objects and output of which is Unity project compatible.
Lectures with You - Lecture Recordings Conversion into e-Book Format
Adamec, Martin ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This thesis deals with the transfer record lectures, stored in XML files, to EPUB format (version 3.0). The resulting file includes the reciting images with audio commentary of lecturer. The solution is implemented in Python.
Mobile Application for Visualization and Control of Water Management Structures
Švancer, Jan ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a method of the universal displaying of data from automated water management structures on mobile devices. The development is realized along with the company Speco Control s.r.o., which conducts these automations. The final application is tested and used in actual operation. The crucial part is the draft of the universal structure of database, thanks to which it is possible to display the data. Currently a made-to-measure dispatcher's program for PC is being develop for every object.
Transmitting Streamed Video on Windows Phone
Jež, Adam ; Zachariáš, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is the design and implementation of an application for mobile system Windows Phone which will be able to broadcast a multimedia stream from the mobile device camera via a packet network. The RTSP protocol is used to establish the connection and to negotiate the transmission conditions. The multimedia data themselves are sent via the RTP protocol. The aforementioned protocols and follow protocols such as RTCP and SDP are described in the thesis. Also the development of the multimedia application for Windows Phone is briefly described. The last part of the thesis deals with the impact of the transportation protocol on the quality of the video. The main result of the thesis is an application almost ready to be published.
