NGO activities aimed at the integration of the Chinese minority in the Czech Republic.

This thesis is focused on the topic of nonprofit organizations that are oriented on integration of the Chinese minorities in the Czech Republic. The thesis is focused on description of activities that are used by NGO's for integration of the Chinese minorities in the Czech Republic. In theoretical part is definition of key words. Especially it is definition of non-profit sector, NGO's, integration and theory of integration and the Chinese minorities. A qualitative method of data obtaining is used in the empirical part of the thesis. It is possible to describe integration activities of NGO's that are focused on the Chinese minorities in the Czech Republic from interviews with the respondents.
Themes and Programs of Open Society Fund Praha Focused regarding the concet of Open Society in Czech republic from its Foundation to the Present

MA thesis is following the topics and programs of one chosen organization called Foundation Open Society Fund Praha from its very beginning up to date. In the first chapters of this thesis there is the theoretical background which consists mainly of explanation regarding the political concept of Open Society which is crucial because the foundation has the name of this concept and the features of the concept should be reflected by the activites of the foundation in general. This theoretical background is crucial from another reason which are the main research question or hypothesis and their answers. The research method is quantitative content analysis. The results of the research show that the main assumption of the research is correct, because the topics which are significant for George Soros the founder of these organizations in his own works. We can assume that influence of George Soros on the organization is still considerable even though the activities of organization are presented as mostly independent.
Analysis of the specifics of the nonprofit sector by grounded theory

This thesis focuses on the specifics of the non-profit sector from the perspective of World of Difference's participants. The program World of Difference allows experts from business and government to spend one year in selected non-profit organization. The aim is to answer the question: "What specific features of the non-profit sector perceive World of Difference's participants differently compared with the profit sector?" The answer to the question was based on the method grounded theory, the data were collected through interviews with World of Difference's participants. The result of the research is nine specifics - ethos, motivation, resources, hierarchy, rules, efficiency, flexibility, language and professionalism. The central category consists of ethos, which is further composed of the principle of democracy, humanism and chaos. These specifics form the cornerstone of the grounded theory. The Development of the Character of Murasaki in The Tale of Genji

The bachelor thesis deals with a literature character Murasaki of the Tale of Genji (Genji monogatari), which is considered to be the oldest extant psychological novel. Murasaki is one of the main characters and for Genji the embodiment of the ideal woman. Their relationship is in many ways exceptional. The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyze the changes of the character of Murasaki at the different stages of her life with the consideration of her relationship with Genji and other characters. The changes are illustrated by many examples taken from the book.
Evaluation in Czech: Situation of Evaluation of NGO's Projects in Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the evaluation in the civil sector in Czech Republic. Its main goal is to describe actual state of evaluation in the connection with civil sector. It submits its definitions, typologies, methods and principles from the both - Anglo - Saxon and Czech environment. This work also contains the analysis of interviews with professional evaluators who have experience with the evaluation of civil sector organizations and with representatives of civil sector organizations that have evaluation practice. The author describes evaluation in the context of the transformation of Czech civil sector, its professionalization and the crisis of resources for its organizations.
The activity of the youth clubs: between the service and the expressive function

This master thesis is based on the service non-governmental organizations (NGO) which provides mainly social services to the public. The master thesis focuses on the service and non-service activities of this organizations with an emphasis on the non-service activities. This thesis investigates how these NGO's theoretically realize the functions of NGO's through these activities and with what functions are the certain activities connected. The important element is to describe and categorize the non-service activities and explain how they were realized, why they were realized and if they are important for the head of these organizations. The master thesis also directs on financing of NGO's and on the problem, that service NGO's are very often dependent on the state financial sources. This thesis shows how the financial system of researched NGO's relates to the non-service activities of these organizations. The branch of my research are youth clubs. Between the sidewalk and the road - The tribe of urban cyclists

There is used an ethnographic method in this research focused on group of cyclist in postmodern city of Prague. I used Maffesoli's concept of neo tribes to write about group of people with fluid and liquid identity. They argue with their style for democracy in public realm of the city and for sustainable society. In Fact they fight for piece of space in the city for cyclist.
Analysis of Protests against Internet Regulation (2011-2012)

The goal of the thesis was to describe protests against ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) that took place in Czech Republic in the first half of year 2012. The research consists in analysis of individual protests. While writing this thesis I've focused on describing the role of civil sector organizations, what frames their organizers used and also what was the role of new medias in organizing and dispersing these protests.
Cause-related marketing campaign in the organization Mamma HELP in coordination with the company called Ryor

The master thesis focuses on cause-related marketing (CRM) as one of the type of cooperation between NGOs and companies. Broader context of CRM is described in a theoretical part from the perspective of corporate environment as well as non-profit sector. One of the sections of the theoretical part is devoted to areas related to the success of CRM campaigns and this topic covers largely an empirical part of the thesis. There is a qualitative study based on a case study of a successful CRM campaign from the Czech Republic. The campaign was chosen by factors assuming the success of the CRM campaign which are described in the theory. First, the historical development of the campaign is described; the success of the campaign is investigated from the view of the NGO and the company afterwards. The empirical research is focuses on factors which could influence the success of the CRM campaign and how is the success perceived by representatives of the NGO and the company.
