Technical-economic framework for the integration of individual and community electricity generating plants
Vaculík, Tomáš ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Drápela, Jiří (advisor)
In conection with current energy situation, efforts to achieve energy self-sufficiency are increasing in the Czech Republic and the rest of the Europe. Renewable energy sources can already be used within households. However, not everyone has the opportunity to purchase and operate such a factory. The solution to these problems may bet he increasingly discussed community energy, which is becoming more popular in the Czech Republic in connection with changing legislation and financial motivation in the form of various grants and subsides. The purpose of this work is to create a summary of the most important information of the technical and economic framework and subsequent creation of an easily modifiable and parameterized model of energy communities, which will show the technical properties of individual connections, such as power losses or the influence of metrics on the resulting values of measured energy.
Retail electricity price analysis
Chmelař, Šimon ; Zinecker, Marek (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the analysis of electricity retail prices within the Czech Republic. In recent years, spot electricity prices have become a significant topic due to their high volatility, which was caused by market liberalization, geopolitical factors, and the gradual transition to sustainable energy sources. The aim of this work is to create a computational model for estimating the composition of various types of wholesale prices from the retail prices offered by electricity suppliers. The first part of the thesis summarizes the functioning of the wholesale electricity market, its components, and the types of electricity trading. The second part of the thesis focuses on compiling calculations using MATLAB software. By analyzing wholesale prices and prices offered by a certain supplier, it determines whether the supplier has secured at least the minimum part of the estimated consumption of its customers and is thus able to fulfill its obligations.

This thesis focuses on the efficient control of a solid fuel boiler using a programmable logic controller (PLC). The objective is to develop and optimize a control system that will enable safe, reliable and efficient operation of the boiler. The thesis includes a theoretical analysis of the safety requirements, a description of the parameters of the VERNER A251 boiler and the design of the regulation using PID controllers. The output is a complex software program designed in Mosaic environment, which simulates the boiler operation in multiple scenarios and allows its adjustment and analysis. The simulations have been designed to accurately represent the various boiler states from ignition to fault conditions, providing a comprehensive view of the entire control process.
Off-shore wind power plants and their integration into the electricity market
Opportunities for flexibility in energy communities
Kubíčková, Klára ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
The thesis presents a research of the legislative setting for energy communities in the Czech Republic, current conditions and expected developments in the provision and evaluation of flexibility. The thesis also deals with the proposed changes in the tariff structure and possible approaches to accounting for energy communities. Furthermore, the possibilities of flexibility involvement in energy communities, especially from the perspective of evaluation of flexibility provision are mentioned. Based on the current legislative setting and the potential of power stations, model communities are selected for which electricity sharing according to allocation keys and payback are evaluated.
