Mechanical-biological waste treatment techniques

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on description of various possibilities of municipal waste treatment in czech waste management system, focusing on potential realisation of mechanical-biological treatment of waste (MBT) in our area. Data analysis of foreign MBT units is included in the thesis, based on this analysis three different model layouts of technology were specified. The findings from foreign MBT units are then being used to creation and setting of a calculation tool, which is the main result of this thesis. The tool is based on residual waste composition and production data and it is able to estimate attainable production and presumptive parameters of MBT technology products.

Analysis of Selected Indicators of the RA for Olomouc´s Region Using Time Series

The Bachelor´s thesis focuses on analysis of selected indicators of the Revenue authority for Olomouc´s region using time series. This paper includes acknowledgement with theory, which will be used in the practical part, where already particular specific indicators of the mentioned revenue authority are subjected to analysis. Afterward, following a positive determination whether the data can be aligned, we realize the alignment by means of the regression function and specify the indicator prognosis for the future. In the thesis we can also find a description of the program for processing time series, which is created in Visual Basic.

Production of ethanol as an automotive fuel from renewable materials

The thesis deals with ethanol production using renewable energy ressources. It describes various manufacturing processes and the usage of respective input materials. It researches utilization of ethanol as engine fuel both as a mixture with conventional fuels and also as the principal component. Consequentionally, it proposes a design of combustion engines suitable for this fuel. Evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of substituting petrol products with bioethanol is provided. The thesis also includes energy and economic evaluation.

Description of the efficiency of a company by using time series.

The goal of the submitted thesis is the description of efficiency of a company, where different data of Železiarne Podbrezová a.s. will be processed. Time period of eight years will be taken into account in data processing. Theoretic part deals with the time series in general and its subsequent partition so as with financial analysis, we use to describe efficiency of a company. Practical part deals with the calculations throught the use of time series and description of results and graphs.

Up-to-date technology for energy utilisation of biomass and waste

The bachelor‘s thesis deals with technologies for energy utilisation of biomass and waste. The introductory part is dedicated to biomass, its division and sources of biomass suitable for thermal treatment. The main part describes and compares technological units for energy utilisation of biomass, which is important for the Czech market. Furthermore there is described selected technologies for flue gas cleaning suitable especially for thermal treatment of waste. A basic design calculation of technological unit fired with wood chips for combined heat and power production is included here.

Boilers with medium capacity for biomass combustion of czech and foreign production

The main objective of this work is to focus on biomass as one of the components of renewable energy sources for the production of thermal energy by combustion. The introduction of work maps the current state of biomass used in the Czech Republic. It evaluates options for future uses for biomass and also the size of the potential in the natural conditions of the Czech Republic. It also views this renewable resource from the point of view of energy conception and evaluace the government positron on this issue. Next part deals with the combustion of biomass and with the use of created thermal energy. It ruminate a problem of pollutants and shows values for emission limits results from the legislation. It shows ways of using this thermal energy and the associated production of electrical energy including an overview of the possibilities of its evaluation. The last part of this work describes a comparison between biomass boilers from Czech and foreign producers in the range of rated output 1 to 3 MW. It divides boilers in terms of legislation and shows the obligations and conditions attached to the operators of biomass boilers. It outlines the biggest application of boilers with medium capacity for biomass combustion in the Czech Republic.
