Modernization of the manipulator control unit for the placement of magnetic points
Adámek, Adam ; Appel, Martin (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This work is being taken up by upgrading the manipulator control unit. It is a so-called pick and place minupulator with CNC machine elements that places magnetic points on a film. On the manipulator, Arduino MEGA control unit with RAMPS v1.3 shield and control computer will be supplemented with Raspberry Pi microcomputer and a camera that will recognize QR codes on individual foils and accordingly select the appropriate program for placing the aformentioned magnetic points. The initial state of the manipulator will be assessed, its control unit and the pneumatic the system responsible for the transmission and placement of the magnetic points. The next section will describe the design of the new control, the use of the open-source G-code interpreter PyCNC, the setup of this software and also its incorporation with the already existing elements on the manipulator such as limit switches and solenoid valves. The last part of the thesis deals with the comparison of the achieved result, whether it is the functionality of the manipulator and its improvement, or the aesthetic aspect of installing the Raspberry Pi and the camera module on the manipulator. Also, the turn-on time and the duration of one cycle of placing the magnetic points on the film of the manipulator will be compared.
Design of control unit for an autonomous vehicle
Vobruba, Martin ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Adámek, Roman (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis is designing control unit for an autonomous vehicle. The new ECU replaces the old one which was without access to the source code, so its functionality couldn’t be modified. The purpose of the ECU is to receive a message from the control computer, process it, control the actuators according to the orders and inform the computer about their current state. The first part of the thesis is research of the vehicle kinematics and CAN bus. The practical part focuses on the analysis of the previous ECU which is crucial to its replacement. It is followed by the firmware and hardware design. The last practical part of the thesis is the testing of the new ECU’s functionality.
Automatic prosthetic bed
Stojan, Kryštof ; Krejčí, Petr (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This thesis focuses on developement and making of an automatic prosthetic socket. The aim is to designe prosthetic socket, circuit board, closing mechanism and firmware. At the end the whole system is tested on a patient.
Design and developement of autonomous system for monitoring critical paramaters in food industry
Chovan, Hynek ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Krejčí, Petr (advisor)
his work focuses on automating the monitoring of temperature and other operational parameters in gastronomic establishments. The designed device allows real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, and other parameters with remote access capability. It utilizes the ESP32 microcontroller, SHT40 and HX711 sensors, and TP4056 charging circuit with DW01A protection circuit. Data is transmitted to a Gateway device, which displays it through a web interface. Testing demonstrated sufficient communication range and long battery life. The device meets requirements for compactness, reliability, and efficiency. This project represents progress in IoT applications for ensuring food safety and efficiency in handling food in gastronomic establishments.
Design of a rotary pendulum with a flexible joint
Palát, Ondřej ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Dobossy, Barnabás (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis is focused on design of laboratory equipment with flexible joint. It describes construction, control electronics design, microcontroller programming and mathematical modelling describing flexible joint dynamics. Model parameters were estimated based on measurements. First part also describes market survey and brief description of algorithms used for numeric parameter estimation.
Model of the oscillating system with kinematic excitation
Vrzal, Vojtěch ; Radil, Filip (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and implementation of an oscillation model of a system with kinematic excitation. The aim of the thesis was to create a prototype that would simulate the behaviour of the dynamic system as closely as possible and would allow its behaviour to be analysed and subsequently used as a teaching model. In the research part, the system equations and the state-space model are derived. Subsequently, the structure including actuator and sensors is designed and fabricated. Finally, the system parameters for the mathematical model are estimated and then compared with the measured data.
Laboratory demonstrator for the application of dynamic systems state estimation methods
Maliňák, Filip ; Dobossy, Barnabás (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the creation of study materials for understanding the application of the Kalman filter. It includes the simulation of the Kalman filter on first and second order linear time-invariant systems. Furthermore, it explores the application of the filter on a teaching model of a DC motor with various sensors, with the aim of better understanding the tuning of the covariance matrices Q a R.
Design and implementation of an automatic system for watering indoor plants
Szymik, Ondřej ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This work is focused on the design and realization of an automatic irrigation system for houseplants. The emphasis is on the modularity of the system, i.e. to be able to irrigate plants and to measure their environmental variables independently. The work includes the design of a suitable system architecture, the selection of suitable sensors and actuators, the assembly of the system and the verification of its functionality.
Software extension of the education model
Koktavý, Ondřej ; Adámek, Roman (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the possibilities of communication with converters from the company FTDI using a program in Python. It focuses on MPSSE and communication using the SPI protocol. The thesis focuses exclusively on the communication with FT2232H converter, which is located in a single-motor educational model. The aim of the thesis is also to establish communication with educational model using one of the pre-prepared libraries. Subsequently, a function library will be created for this communication solution for users, including instructions for use. Within the framework of using this function library, the user will be able to use a total of three sample tasks. Measurement of the properties of this communication between the computer and the educational model will also be carried out.
Automation of the dispensing system and coffee registration of the coffee machine
Bleha, Martin ; Spáčil, Tomáš (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis's main objective is to establish the design and the implementation of a master control system for a coffee machine, as well as the development of the supporting software. The system aims to be able to track coffee consumption for each user individually. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first and second chapters form the theoretical part of the thesis, which is a brief review of the coffee machine and Raspberry Pi platform used in the system realization. Chapters three to five form the practical part, which consists of the analysis of selected components of the coffee machine, the designed solution, and its implementation with the coffee machine.
