Stimulating social relationships among preschool children through drama education

In my bachelor's thesis I will focus on the topic of social relations between preschool children in the context of drama education. Specifically, I will be examining the peer circle for the play of a few selected children. I am interested in whether the inclusion of a few drama lessons with social themes in preschool, will have an impact on the children and their peer circle. Whether the circle will expand, children will interact more with each other or whether the foundations for friendships will be established through drama education. The theoretical part focuses on the psychological development of the preschool child, specifically in the area of early relationships, both peer relationships for play and the establishment of first friendships. Furthermore, this part focuses on an introduction to drama education and introduces some of its techniques and methods. In the practical part, five drama lessons with social themes are introduced, implemented and reflected upon in a kindergarten class. Before the lessons, a research method of interview is used, where the respondents are children who are asked about their relationships with other children. Comparison of methods and techniques of drama education and reading strategies when working with fables

The thesis deals with the topic of comparison of methods and techniques of drama education and reading strategies when working with fairy tale text. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is based on professional sources and literature. It focuses on the characteristics of drama education, reading strategies and the literary genre of fable. It aims to explain important concepts related to drama education and literacy and the use of the literary genre of fable in drama and literature education. The practical part deals with research to determine the effectiveness of the methods used to work with the text by creating and implementing ten lessons that include methods and techniques of dramatic education and reading strategies when working with the text of fairy tales. It investigates which method used results in improved student comprehension of the fairy tale text, as well as the effectiveness of the two methods of working with the text and observations of students' comprehension of the fairy tale text during the research. Methods and techniques of drama education as a tool for inclusion of pupils with a different mother tongue

The diploma thesis is named "Methods and Techniques of Drama Education as a Tool for Inclusion of Pupils with a Different Mother Tongue." In the theoretical part, the issues of pupils with a different mother tongue are specified. Subsequently, I generally discuss drama education as a method of teaching and furthermore its specific methods and techniques, which can be used for the inclusion of a pupil with a foreign mother language. In the practical part, I name the most common difficulties in the inclusion of a pupil with a foreign mother language in the educational process and define the utilization rate of drama education in eliminating the issues mentioned in the previous part. In the research, I used a quantitative analysis, a structured questionnaire method, and qualitative experiments through semi-structured interviews. The questionnaire was answered by 42 respondents (pedagogical employees).The results of the questionnaire analysis indicate that the greatest difficulties are language barriers, cultural differences, and unfamiliarity with the environment. The drama education method is used by three-quarters of the respondents; however, only nine of them are applying the method as a tool for eliminating the most frequent difficulties when working with students with a foreign mother language. Drama as the Prevention against Bullying at the first grade of the primary school

The diploma thesis deals with methods and techniques of drama education, which we can use to prevent bullying at the first grade of the primary school. The theoretical part defines the concept of bullying and the definition of this concept. It also describes the forms, types and characteristic features of bullying. The theoretical part also focuses on the actors of bullying, describes the causes, development, subsequent manifestations of bullying as well as its consequences. In the theoretical part, we also deal with the area of bullying prevention at the 1st grade of elementary school. In the second half of the theoretical part, drama education at the first level of elementary school is defined, its goals and key competences that it develops at the first level. Here, the work focuses on the methods and techniques of dramatic education, which can be used to prevent bullying. The practical part contains a prepared drama lesson using the methods and techniques of drama education for pupils of the 5th year of the first stage of primary school, which is focused on the prevention of bullying in primary school. How to bring preschoolers closer to differences in families through drama education

In my bachelor thesis I focus on how to bring preschool children closer to the differences in families through drama education. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part includes the characteristics of preschool age, specifically psychological development, social and emotional development and perceptual development. Furthermore, the characteristics of families according to several authors, basic functions and types of families according to aspects. A separate chapter is then devoted to foster family care and its forms. This is followed by a description of drama education, the aims of drama education, methods and techniques of drama education, the appropriate methods and techniques chosen for children in kindergarten and the personality of the drama teacher in kindergarten. Adaptation of children in kindergarten from the point of view of parents' and teachers' evaluation

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of children's adaptation in kindergarten, primarily from the perspective of parents and teachers. The aim of the thesis is to develop relevant theoretical frameworks and starting points regarding adaptation in preschool education and to reflect on the issue of adaptation through a case study of a kindergarten in an empirical investigation. In the conclusion, recommendations are formulated for the further development of the pedagogical work of the selected kindergarten aimed at supporting the adaptation processes of children who start attending preschool education. The theoretical part first focuses on the definition of basic terms related to the course of the adaptation period and the socialization of the child in preschool age. It also deals with legislative documents on which the adaptation process is based. Children's literature as a source of inspiration for drama education at the first and second year of primary school

The theoretical part defines the concepts of dramatic and literary education and describes the possibilities of using children's literature in dramatic education. The thesis focus on suitable topics, which we can integrate into national curriculum. It also provides suggestions for lesson preparation in dramatic education based on children's literature. The practical part explores teachers'experiences in searching, acquiring, and processing suitable children's literature for creating dramatic education lessons. Based on the books with which the respondents have experience, a list of children's literature has been created to facilitate teachers in selecting books for creating dramatic education lessons.
