Utilization of the plate waves in defectoscopy
Šály, Timotej ; Fialka, Jiří (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis explores the use of plate waves in defectoscopy, specifically in non-destructive testing of materials. It focuses on Lamb waves, ultrasonic waves that propagate efficiently through surfaces even over long distances with minimal energy loss. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part, where the methods of generation, detection and processing of plate waves are first analyzed and the ways of using Lamb waves in non-destructive testing are presented. In the practical part, a method to verify the dispersion curves by experimental measurements is described.
Automation of the calibration process
Mařas, Michael ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the automation of the calibration process at the workplace for calibration of electronic power meters and the description of the method of evaluation of calibration results. The paper analyses the calibration workstation and the manual method of calibration performed by the calibration laboratory staff. Furthermore, proposals for automating the manual method of calibration and a description of the implementation of a program for automating this process are given. Subsequently, the uncertainty analysis is described in the paper. In this section, the uncertainty analysis according to the GUM method and the subsequent calculation of these uncertainties are presented. The correctness of the calculation of uncertainties according to the GUM method is verified by the Monte Carlo method. In the last part of the work, the method of evaluation of the calibration results according to ILAC-G8:09/2019 is described and the form of the calibration protocol is described.
Digital oscilloscope with USB interface
Vadinský, Václav ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work deals with design and implementation of hardware and software oscilloscope to a PC. A communication with PC is via USB interface from which is the oscilloscope powered. The oscilloscope is equipped with 2 measuring channels with vertical resolution 12 bits and maximum sampling frequency 80MHz. Any adjustment of parameters is performed using the PC. The work also deals with manner of recording, synchronization of measurements and sending the measured data to PC and its subsequent processing and evaluation.
Liquid flow measurement
Hradil, Jiří ; Fialka, Jiří (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
In my master’s thesis, I consider with flow measurement. In shortness is described principle of flow sensors functionality, its advantages and disadvantages. I designed and made device for practice measurement of flow. On this device are installed three flowmeters The characteristic of this flowmeters were measured and evaluated. I made program in LabVIEW to collect and analyze information from instaled flowmeters.
Features real-time operating system for LabVIEW
Válek, Petr ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Čejka, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with certain properties of real time operating systems (RTOS) Ardence PharLap ETS, WindRiver VxWorks and LabVIEW RT module. Three methodologies of RTOS quality comparison are proposed, two of which are practically tested with described experiments on CompactRIO hardware from NI. Furthermore, there is explained need for RTOS usage and experimental comparison of jitter error influence on total harmonic distortion THD defined by two definitions.
The building, Přístavní street, Praha 7
Degr, Luboš ; Sedlák, Radek (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The subject of this Diploma Thesis is newly built polyfunctional building in the Prague – Holešovice. Building land is slightly sloping. The building will be followed by the surrounding buildings. The building consists of seven floors. The floor underground technical spaces and collective garages. On the ground floor are two commercial spaces and reception. In the second to fifth floor are office space. The top floor is a penthouse with terraces. The building is designed as a monolithic reinforced concrete skeleton accompanied by a facade wall and the wall forming the core. The core consists of a elevator and a staircase. Floor slabs is continuous reinforced concrete slab with capitals. The façade of the building is divided by pilasters, stone cladding. Root at the penthouse is composed of a terrace with vegetation. Ground floor consists of shop windows with sun screens. All designs are in accordance to the valid ČSN code.
Thermal Flow measurement
Beneš, Jiří ; Kunz, Jan (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with verification of properties of termo anemometric sensor P1K0 / 50. The first part consists of a theoretical description of termo anemometric principles, their evaluation, parasitic influences on the sensors and an overview of the most important features of the sensor. The second part of the thesis deals with the design and implementation of the measuring track for measuring these properties. The result of this work is to verify the properties of the P1K0 / 50 sensor, to create its mathematical model and to determine the possible applicability of the sensor in laboratory teaching.
Thermal conductivity measurements
Herr, Tomáš ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on measurement of thermal conductivity and description of measurement principles by different methods. These methods are divided into stationary, unsteady, with linear sources and with point sources. Partially is this thesis dedicated to the research of the market with devices measuring thermal conductivity, other part is creating an overview of Czech national norms. The practical part is dedicated to an experiment proposal, realization of measurement itself and final validation of results. The principle of the experiment is based on non-stationary measurement made by line-linear source which is working on pulse mode.
Gas flow measurement
Slováček, Antonín ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The diploma thesis brings a description and realization of new measuring devices which are designed to support student´s laboratory practice of air flow measurement techniques. The new devices and laboratory exercises help students get experience of several methods of measuring which they get to know during mandatory Bachelor's and Master's study programmes. The paper also includes a theoretical background, the knowledge of which is necessary for mastering the issue. Moreover, the paper comprises a literary search of sensors and a market research. The second part of the thesis presents possibilities of the laboratory workplace, and the results of the measurements of the new laboratory devices used for sample laboratory exercises.
Inclinometers and Gyroscopes
Hývnarová, Irena ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This study deals with tilt sensors. Besides others methods, accelerometers and gyroscopes are also convenient to solve this problem. Tilt sensors which are described in this thesis are working with capacitive, piezoresistive and thermal method. Capacitive accelerometers from producer Analog Devices, STmicro and Freescale, piezoresistive accelerometers from producer Panasonic Matsushita and gyroscope ADXRS300 are tested by practical measurement. Parameters of these accelerometers are found and they are compared with parameters from producer. Measurement reliability in this study is analysed as well. This thesis is divided in chapters theoretically describing principles of particular accelerometers and the chapters containing measured data evaluation.
