The Quality of Life of Carers of People with the Dementia Syndrom

The Bachelor thesis discusses the quality of life of carers of people with the Dementia Syndrom. The theoretical part deals with the description of the Dementia Syndrom, the personality of the carer, risks of the care and the theory of the life quality focussed on the carer. The focus of the thesis is a research based on the quality analysis of the semistructured interviews. Ten carers of different age, sex and domicile performed as the examined sample. The practical part is focussed on the attitude of a carer to the patient and on the problematics of the cultural life of the carers. Further, on the possibility of attending a job for carers and what knowledge about the health-social services do the carers have. And at last on the answer how are these services accesible. The verbatim transcriptions of the interviews with the particular respondents are included. The conclusion is that the carers are exhausted due to the care, that they cannot attend their job and have shortage of the information about the social and especially the health services.

Quality of the contemporary care of the old patients. The probability of disease increases with the old age. It can happen, that it dones to the situation, when the man won't be able to lead full - value life. Thereby becomes quality and accessible health and social care more important. The care about old man belongs to the most physically and bodily demanding. Older sick patients can have considerable cognitive, sense, move or communication handicap. They are not able to tell their needs, they don't react appropriate on the questions and challenges, they are not self sufficient. Thus becomes the work of the health workers more difficult.. It is not possible to conduct quality health care without understanding of the problems of ageing and old age, without empathy and dignity to the old people.

This Bachelor degrese thesis dissertates on a style of life of an elderly generation of population. The theoretical part briefly dealts with physical processes and mental changes typical for seniors period of life. It detailed the specifications of a physical traning, nourishment and an influence of a human psyche to health. The empirical part concentrates on an exercising, scholarship, awareness of a computer technology and a general view of a contemporary life of seniors. The surveyed sample of people is formed of a part of random- questioned seniors older than sixty years, living in eastern Bohemia.
The nursing care of a geriatric patient who suffers from chronic pain

The thesis deals with nursing care of a geriatric patient who suffers from chronic pain and is based on patients' opinions. The theoretical part defines the term "chronic pain" and characterizes its' causes. It also describes various ways of diagnosing chronic pain, ways in which chronic pain can be monitored and how could chronic pain be treated. There is a general nursing plan - according to the model of M.Gordonova - for a geriatric patient with chronic pain treatment worked out at the other part of the thesis. The empiric part of the work deals with patients' opinions. For the research questionnaire was used as the most suitable method for given purpose. 54 geriatric patients suffering from chronic pain, who are hospitalized either in internal department or department for the elderly in Havlíčkův Brod, took part in the research. They were then dividend into 2 groups - men and women - which was also taken into account when evaluating the answers. The questionnaire is focused on character of pain, its' location and intesity with regard to previous week. The target is to find out what patient's preferences in chronic pain treatment are and the level to which daily activities were influenced by pain over the last week. The preparation of the educational plan for a patient suffering from the ischemic heart disease

The thesis discusses the ischemic heart disease and the necessity to educate patients constantly. The thesis emphasizes the occurrence of risk factors for development of the ischemic heart disease. The thesis also focuses on the division, the diagnostics and the treatment of the ischemic heart disease. An important part of this work deals with education and the educational process. The quantitative research is the crux of the thesis. The main target of the research was to learn about patient awareness about their disease. The surveyed sample has been represented by patients from the Teaching Hospital Hradec Králové suffering from this disease. The empirical part shows that it is necessary to educate patients constantly and to motivate them to improve their lifestyle

Information flow clients/patients, family members, lay public

Research points on the fact that information level of your patiens is on a very good level. There is the space for improvement, mainly in the area of communication, which is the basic presumption of good relationship between patients and medics. Report is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on information flow in health service. Experiential part describes the classification of patient's informedness levels within the hospitalization. Research sample are 68 patients. Result shows, that consequent communication is needed. There was biggest dissatisfaction in this sphere. The target is to reach high quality in provided care with active client's attendance and his satisfaction. Main point is good information flow between patient and medic about health state.

Life with the perithoneal cathetr

This bachelor thesis deals with life quality of patient with peritoneal catheter. Several indicators for life quality evaluation were used: Family environment, possibility to be employed, travelling, hobbies, and own definition of the life quality. It is necessary to consider the patient's life before starting the dialysis treatmentand his personality The emphasis of this thesis is based upon survey which is based on qualitative analysis of semi-structured interviews.The explored sample consisted of 6 diseased patients under PD program of various age, sex and duration of dialysis treatment.Empiric chapter is focused on problematic of life acceptance with peritoneal catheter in the area of disease cause, dialysation treatment, catheter manipulation, PD progression, and life quality evaluation. The life is limited also in the area of employment and travelling possibilities, by reason of the everyday exchanges.. The thesis also consists of exactly re-written talks with individual patients.
