Vladislav's Jagellonian, king of Bohemia, fiscal situation in the years 1471-1490
Trnka, Pavel ; Čechura, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (referee)
Vladislaus Jagiellon's fiscal situation was problematic from the very beginnig of his reign. The royal sources of revenue were considerably limited. The most important incomes came from the crown property, the escheat of noblemen's estates, the mine regal, the mining undertaking, the royal mint, and the general tax. Initially, the young king was supported by his father, Casimir IV the king of Poland, who granted him probably less than 72 000 Hungarian florins during the years 1471-1473. The crown propety which was part of royal chamber embraced royal towns, monasteries, castles, and domains. The incomes produced by them, especially the so called special tax, were reduced considerably by pawning. This was especially true in case of the monasteries and castles whose importance for the royal chamber was negligible. Vladislaus held permanently only three castles, Karlštejn, the Prague Castle, and Krivoklát. There was about 35 royal towns in Bohemia. The towns paid in chamber the so called town census besides the special tax; despite of the pawning, this all together still was an important king Vladislaus' source of revenue. The towns and partially also the monasteries sought to redeem their own property or chamber payments pawned by the king. The Jews also belonged to the royal chamber, paying to it a special...

Rodinný dům stavebnicového systému STEKO
Trnka, Pavel
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the creation of a single-storey house for a family with two children from the STEKO building system. The building will be roofed with a classic saddle roof, which allows to use the underground space for residential purposes. The non-detached family house is situated on a common flat land. Garage is not part of the house layout. An inseparable part of the thesis is the design of six variants of the built-up area. Depending on the chosen variant of the layout and spatial solution, a drawing part with a technical description is created in the text part of the thesis. Circuits of the envelope are documented by calculations of the heat transfer coefficients of the building envelope structures and at the end of the work the approximate cost of realization of the designed family house is determined. Návrh stavby pro cestovní ruch a stravování
Trnka, Pavel
The subject of the thesis is to create a design of a boarding house from a wooden skeleton structure. The building is covered with a flat roof. The non-cellared guest house is situated on a common plot. The building has three floors. On the 1st floor there is a restaurant with a kitchen on the left and a social background for guests and employees in the right part. The second floor is dedicated to eight guest rooms, two of which are for disabled guests, the total capacity is 14 guests. The last floor is designed as an administrator's apartment. The output of this work is drawing documentation and basic technical calculations, especially static calculation of skeletal structure and fire safety solution. The heat transfer coefficient of the structures is calculated for the envelope structure. Finally, the approximate price of the building is determined. Diplomatics and Administration of the Monastery of Teplá in the Second Half of the Fifteenth Century
Trnka, Pavel ; Pátková, Hana (advisor) ; Hlinomaz, Milan (referee) ; Kubín, Petr (referee)
The subject of the thesis are the documents of the canony of Teplá, as well as some aspect of the administration of the monastery in the Middle Ages, namely under the abbot Sigismund Hausmann (1459-1506). It contains, besides the introductory chapter, three main parts, treating the history of the monastery in the Middle Ages, its documents and its administration, respectively. In the introduction, the basic secondary literature and primary sources for the topic are introduced. In addition, the structure and the methodology of the thesis are outlined. The history of the canony from its foundation up to the year 1526 is given in the first part. The following turning points are chosen for the periodization: 1420, 1459, and 1507. The presentation is based mostly on primary sources and it is focused mainly on the later Middle Ages. The second section, devoted to the medieval diplomatics of the monastery, begins with the typology of the diplomatic material of the Premonstratensian canonies in Bohemia and Moravia. The treatment of the documents of Teplá is divided according to the extant types of material (charters, letters pattent, letters missive, cartularies, registers and the remaining official books). External as well as internal features of every diplomatic type are followed in three periods: to the...
Euthanasia and the Criminal law
Trnka, Pavel ; Vokoun, Rudolf (advisor) ; Herczeg, Jiří (referee)
1 Abstract Euthanasia is a highly controversial issue that is becoming an increasingly hot topic almost all over the world. Etymologically, the word "euthanasia" has its origins in the Greek word "euthanatos", meaning "good death" (from eu- "good, pleasant" + thanatos "death"). Later, however, in the wake of an interpretative shift, euthanasia generally came to be used, alongside its meaning of good death (merciful, good, beautiful, easy death), as the term of choice in connection with killing out of pity or compassion. Although, in my thesis, I discuss the subject of "good death" primarily from the perspective of criminal law in force in this country, the issue of euthanasia is very broad and encompasses not only criminal law or law in general, but also extends into a wide range of social fields. For this reason, in my thesis I also touch on euthanasia's relationship with medicine and religion, abuse of the concept of euthanasia and, not least, on legislation in other countries. The brief introduction to the thesis centres on an explanation of my motivation for choosing this subject and outlines what I will discuss in more detail in the main body of text. The initial chapter initially addresses how the concept of euthanasia has evolved and then discusses what forms it takes. Based on definitions put...
