The Issue of Domestic Violence and Its Solutions in Practice from the Perspective of Public and Civil Sector in Hradec Kralove

The work is dedicated to solving the problem of domestic violence in Hradec Králové. The issue is seen from the practice in social work and provides insight into the stakeholders, namely the staff of the organizations or institutions of civil and public sector. The main focus is generally not only effective solution, but also specific assumptions success, and convenient tools, motivation and attitudes. Generally, all facts and factors affecting appropriate solution to the social problem in that region are examined. The approach of Hradec Králové appears to be an example of good practice, while the research seeks to clarify what is really involved. The view of the main involved actors, their motives and ways to engage themselves is also relevant. The first part describes the theoretical background, current approaches and solutions to institutional preconditions in terms of field research. The second part of the thesis based on research answers to research questions explains what exactly is behind the successful resolution of the issues. The aim is not a detailed theoretical description of the phenomenon of domestic violence, but the work is focused on specific subjects and conditions, especially the kind of outreach in the form of studying the behavior of individuals with the motivation to engage in social...

Philosophy of History according G. Vica

The thesis focuses on the interpretation of the theory of history from GiambattistaVico, italian philosopher from 17th century. His theory is focused on the design of an ideal history, which is cyclical in nature, which specifik the manifestations of each of the three ages. These form a closed look of the existence of nations. The first age is the age of divine, then heroic age, which can be considered temporary, and eventually human age, that is quantitatively the heighest. This ideal of history is governed by rational principle of pursuing a specific objective, which is the perfekt state system by vision of Plato, the guiding principleVico called providence. Upon approaching default theory, the work deals comparison of selected theories of philosophers with the koncept of Vico, namely: G.W.F. Hegel, Auguste Comte, Oswald Spengler and Arnold Toynbee.

Prague homesteads. Possibilities of Renovation and Utilization

Prague homesteads (agricultural or farm buildings, later summer houses and mansions, manufactories or villas) have become a part of the City of Prague during the urban development, or have been destroyed. Nowadays, still preserved homesteads are significant historical monuments, but also landmarks of the urban landscape and the important source of local identity, and therefore worthy of conservation. Nevertheless, it is crucial to find their modern utilization and to maintain their cultural-historical values. The aim of this master's thesis is to sum up possibilities of renovation and utilization of poorly maintained Prague homesteads and to formulate recommendations to owners, investors and other people participating in animation process of these buildings based on the analysis of examples of still renovated Prague homesteads.

Analysis of ready state of the Czech Republic to adopt single European currency

The Bachelor's theses "Analysis of ready state of the Czech Republic to adopt single European currency" is dedicated to the Czech Republic's accession to the euro area. In its first chapter, the reader will become familiar with the commitment of the Czech Republic to adopt single European currency which is legally embedded in the Maastricht Treaty. The next part is focused on the fulfilment of the nominal convergence criteria by the Czech Republic. The third chapter analyzes the readiness of the Czech Republic for euro area accession through an evaluation of the cyclic and structural alignment with the euro area. This chapter also describes mechanisms whereupon the Czech Republic would be able to adapt to the euro area countries in the event of the occurrence of asymmetric shocks. The last chapter refers to a strategy that has been created for the purpose of euro adoption in the Czech Republic, to the benefits and risks which can result from this step and to the institutional provision for the single European currency changeover. In conclusion, the attitude of experts on the readiness of the Czech Republic for the euro adoption is summarized and on the possible prospects for accession to euro area.
