Object Tracking Using Kalman Filter
Sehnoutka, M.
The goal of this paper is to describe design and implementation of system which is supposed to track objects in video sequence. Kalman filter is used for modeling object movement and prediction of its trajectory in moments when the object is hidden. System can use two different models. One is supposed to track objects that are moving with constant velocity and second one with constant acceleration.
Two Legged Walking Robot
Kraus, V.
The aim of this work is to construct a two-legged wirelessly controlled walking robot. This paper describes the construction of the robot, its control electronics, and the solution of the wireless control. The article also includes a description of the application to control the robot. The control electronics of the walking robot are built using the development kit Arduino Mega, which is enhanced with WiFi module allowing the wireless control, a set of ultrasonic sensors for detecting obstacles in the robot`s surroundings and accelerometer for maintaining balance.
Dynamic Time Warping for Vehicle Classification
Halachkin, A.
This work focuses on the dynamic time warping for vehicle classification. The theoretical part includes the dynamic time warping algorithm description. The DTW module in Python, that was created during this work, is subsequently applied for the recognition of vehicle types by their side profiles based on the DTW.
Modelling of Wireless Network Coding
Svobodník, P.
During data exchange in the Point-to-Point wireless topology, in case where end nodes aren’t accessible directly, a relay is deployed. However, the basic approach to relays – Store-andForward – isn’t the way to reach the maximum throughput. Network Coding operation is performed by combining data words (packets) travelling through the network in opposite directions into one packet. End nodes, with knowledge of the data sent, can decode received packet. Packet exchange is then finished in shorter time which results in an increase of network throughput. There are more methods of Network Coding which differ from each other in the time requirements or the ability to work in a noisy channel. In this paper they will be described and compared.
Broadband Linear Antenna Array for BAN Applications
Gaja, T.
The work deals with antenna array for application in BAN. The main attention is focused on the shaping of radiation pattern. The paper describes the principles of the designing antenna arrays with desired radiation patterns. Based on these principles the script was created in environment MATLAB which effectively analyses features of each desired antenna array. The next section of this work is focused on design of broadband Vivaldi antenna array in frequency band 4.6 – 6.6 GHz. Designed antenna array was verified in simulator of electromagnetic field CST. The antenna array was also analyzed in proximity of human tissue.
Narrowband Power Line Comunication Based on G3 PLC and PRIME Standarts
Csiba, P.
This project is focused on narrowband PLC communication. In this project is described the experimental measurements with TMDSPLCKIT-V4 kit from the Texas Instruments company. The measurements are performed in home environment. This kit allows to compare standards PRIME and G3-PLC.
QRS Complex Detection in Multilead ECG Signals
Šlancar, M.
Automated analysis of HRV requires reliable detection of QRS complexes. We propose a detection method based on different combinations of three orthogonal (pseudoorthogonal) leads of human ECG signals. ECG signals were filtered by standard pass-band filter, Teager-Kaiser energy operator (TKEO) was applied on signal as envelope for detection. The most effective combination for QRS detection was a spatial velocity with sensitivity exceeds 99.9 % and positive predictive value near to 99.5 %. Detection algorithm has been tested on 125 real signals of CSE standard library.
Texture analysis of tumor in lung CT data
Šalplachta, J.
The aim of this work is the revelation of the possibility of the use of texture analysis methods to detection and segmentation tumor tissue in patient’s lungs and classification viable areas of tumor tissue. The main assumption includes the possibility that there are differences of textural properties between tumor and surrounding tissues and changes of these features during development and treatment of this disease. The work deals with the creation of vector of texture features which is composed of some methods of texture analysis and then processed by methods of cluster analysis in programming environment Matlab®.
Tracking of Axonal Bundles in Diffusion MRI Brain Images
Piskořová, Z.
The aim of this work is to design tracking algorithm which will be able to track brain axonal bundles in diffusion weighted MRI data. Estimation of anisotropic diffusion profile inside voxels was performed by diffusion tensor imaging model (DTI). Tracing is based on the 4th order Runge-Kutta method. Algorithm is implemented in the MATLAB computing environment and is tested on real data biological phantom.
Indication of the microplates position
Papajová, G.
This work deals with designing and constructing device which can indicate position of the microplates. This includes hardware design, block chart and utility software. Next important section deals with software design of graphical user interfaces and how to control the microcontroller. The final product is a hardware tool that uses array of 96 two-color LED to indicate the position in microplate. This product will be operated at Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University in Brno.
