Abstract: The work deals with antenna array for application in BAN. The main attention is focused on the shaping of radiation pattern. The paper describes the principles of the designing antenna arrays with desired radiation patterns. Based on these principles the script was created in environment MATLAB which effectively analyses features of each desired antenna array. The next section of this work is focused on design of broadband Vivaldi antenna array in frequency band 4.6 – 6.6 GHz. Designed antenna array was verified in simulator of electromagnetic field CST. The antenna array was also analyzed in proximity of human tissue.
Keywords: antenna array; BAN application; electromagnetic field; radiation pattern; routing; simulation; suppression of lobes; vector of excitation
