The horizontally homogeneous atmospheric boundary layer over rough surface with large roughness length z0 is introduced to model the simplest cases of the Urban Planetary Boundary Layer over the flat plain.

Two main types of tasks are investigated: Simplified, generalised situations and direct solution of geometric complex situations. The methods of the urban type inflow simulation, small scale flow simulation and dispersion simulation including a line source model modelling had to be developed in both cases witin wind tunnel modelling.
Fatigue life of structures under multiaxial nonpropagational loading

The contribution presents a neww approach to estimation of fatigue lives of structures loaded by multiaxialnonproportional harmonic loading. The approach comes out of exponential expressions for fatigue curves under multiaxial stress. It enables to evaluate fatigue lives out of the known S-N curves valid for uniaxial loading. The evoluation uses amplitudes of damaging stress, which has been formulated earlier.

The paper deals with numerical solutions of 3D viscous steady flows of incompressible fluid in the entrance nozzle. The turbulent secondary flow in corners is observed. Conventional nozzle and optimized nozzle were compared.

This study deals with the limiting geometry of confined coaxial jets when the outer diameter of the annular jet is identical with that of the confining round duct. The visualization was made in air, the numerical simulation used software FLUENT. The study focused on laminar flows, and on the stability loss of the inner round jet. To portrayal three-dimensional and helical structures, a stereoscopic technique was employed. The passing frequency was evaluated stroboscopically.
