The study examines the possibility of the liquid spinodal course estimation. The procedure concerns a group of 13 simple equations of state. It followed that the assumptions of satisfying spinodal estimation are: the correct values of the proper derivative on the water saturation curve and a suitable type of the equation of state and that the spinodal course could be useful as one from various criterions of considering the suitability of the given equation of state. Příspěvek se na základě 13 rovnic stavu zabývá možnostmi odhadu průběhu vodní spinodály. Ukázalo se, že nezbytnými předpoklady pro to jsou: správná hodnota příslušné derivace na dolní mezní křivce a vhodná rovnice stavu a dále, že průběh vodní spinodály může být užit jako doplňující kriterium vhodnosti dané rovnice stavu.
