Hlušková, Lenka ; Erben, Adam (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the design of a sustainable urban structure located in the city of Breclav. Directly situated in a place near the main city street, 1 May Avenue. This location, adjacent to the city centre, is suitable for the future construction of a compact urban structure, which has not been there so far. The thesis contains an urbanistic and architectural design of a new urban district that has functions suitable for a quality public space in an urbanised environment. The area under consideration contains a new urban compact structure that should provide a sustainable living environment for local residents. Watercourses are a prominent feature of the proposal and will complement the quality of the newly proposed public space in the urban quarter.

Kopijevská, Kateřina ; Smola, Jaroslav (referee) ; Ležatka, Lukáš (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on the urban and architectural solution of a specific area located in the city district of Brno-střed between the streets Veveří, Pekárenská, Kounicova, and Sokolská, in the cadastral area of Veveří, north of the historic center of Brno. The area under consideration, currently classified as one of Brno's brownfields, represents a significant location for the revitalization and development of urban space. The aim of this thesis is to propose a modern and compact development that respects the historical context, urban structure, and the needs of current residents. The design focuses on closing off the existing block and creating a new one that seamlessly integrates with the urban structure. At the same time, emphasis will be placed on ensuring privacy for residents, creating an active ground floor, improving the aesthetic appearance, and enhancing the quality of life in this area. Lastly, green roofs and inner courtyards for sports and relaxation will be proposed, contributing to ecological sustainability and the overall attractiveness of the area

Bouchot, Alicia ; Klusáková, Luďa (advisor) ; Green, Nancy (referee) ; György, Eszter (referee) ; Ozouf Marignier, Marie Vic (referee)
The aim of the analysis is to question the meaning of the idea of "mixed neighborhood" today in France. The research focuses on Arnaud-Bernard, city center district of Toulouse, during the beginning of the 1990's. Three aspects are significant: different waves of immigration, different names, and a singular event, the "district's dish" (repas-de-quartier") as social link's creator. The mechanism of the Carrefour-Culturel, main association in the neighborhood in order to build a "mixed neighborhood", has been studied in this thesis. Interviews and sources from the association have been analyzed. Moreover the literature has been examined in order to underline the complexity of the idea of "mixed neighborhood".
