Universal Framework for Experiments with 3D Displaying Devices
Hlávka, Marek ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Chlubna, Tomáš (advisor)
Devices displaying three-dimensional images are becoming more and more common in everyday life, and therefore it is necessary to ensure the best quality of the displayed space. This thesis deals with comparing the effectiveness of various methods of virtual reality display today, such as stereoscopic or holographic displays. It also deals with design, implementation, and publication of a framework that allows for the comparison and testing of such devices. The framework is created in the Unity game engine, mostly using scripts in the C# language. Thanks to the framework, it is easier and more efficient to compare different types or specific variations of devices for displaying the three-dimensional images. The published framework is available as open-source.
Binocular vision
Bršlicová, Tereza ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the physiology of binocular vision to obtain spatial effects of two-dimensional images. The thesis contains description of the anatomy and physiology of the organ of sight. The work deals with the binocular vision itself and concepts associated with it, the pathology, examination and development of binocular vision. The next chapter concerns the stereoscopy, a technology that enables to perceive two-dimensional objects in 3D space, which is an integral part of the topic. There are also descriptions of individual stereoscopic projection technology, especially passive stereoscopic technology used in the practical part of the thesis. The practical part focuses on design of dynamic and static scenes using a pair of identical video cameras (VCRs) to obtain data for the production of stereoscopic recording. A description of designed scenes and its projection via passive stereoscopic technology to a group of volunteers is provided as well. The questionnaires assessed the quality of spatial effects.
Mobile application for 3D reconstruction
Krátký, Martin ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to create mobile application for spatial reconstruction. Thesis describes image processing methods suitable for solving this problem. Available platforms for creating mobile application are described. The parameters of the measured scenes are defined. A mobile application containing the described methods is created. The application is tested by reconstruction of objects in different conditions.
3D model
Krátký, Martin ; Klečka, Jan (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a spatial model from images capturing an object illuminated by a laser pattern. The thesis presents possible solutions to the problem using methods of active triangulation and stereoscopy. Methods are designed for laboratory and outdoor measurements. The requirements for the measuring workplace are defined and then the implemented workplace is presented. Each of the designed methods is tested by scanning a series of objects.
Calculating disparity map from color stereo images
Kulíková, Barbora ; Nováček, Petr (referee) ; Klečka, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with a creation of the depth maps. The first chapter concerns with the physiology of a human space perception and the methods of displaying the 3D content which are the topics closely related to the depth map, its creation and practical usage. Subsequently, there is a chapter focused on the description of the used methods of the image processing. The fundamental theoretical chapter deals with the methods of computing the disparity and used principles. In the practical part of the thesis an application has been made with a user interface in the Matlab environment. The application enables the user to create the disparity maps through the local and global methods. The functionalism of the application and the implementation of the methods are experimentaly verified. An experiment comparing the methods and analyzing influence of the local method parameters on the quality of the depth map has been made. The last part of the thesis was to create a simple stereopicture database.
FIT Inner Stereopanorama
Štechr, Vladislav ; Přibyl, Bronislav (referee) ; Juránková, Markéta (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about combination of stereoscopic and panoramic photography. It describes creation of panoramas especially by stitching a set of images. Principles of depth perception and possibilities of stereoscopic images projection are discussed. This thesis includes software for presentation stereopanoramic pictures of Faculty of Information Technology interiors on the Internet and its description.
Binocular vision
Portyš, Jakub ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Provazník, Ivo (advisor)
This paper follows up theme of binocular vision and his working in daily life. The individual chapters contain anatomy and physiology of visual organ. In detail are discussed physical principles of binocular vision. Discussed are also development, eventual pathologies and examination methods of human binocular vision. Theoretical introduction defines the concept of stereoscopy and states overview of stereoscopic imaging methods. Paper also includes approaches to recording of three dimensional image and camera settings. Practical part of work is dedicated to the selection of shooting methods and design of dynamic scenes from daily traffic. Introduced is also the projection method of captured scenes to the group of viewers. The last chapter analyzes the method and evaluation of the experiment itself and the resulting conclusions.
Optimalization for Stereoscopic Visualization
Zelníček, Leoš ; Seeman, Michal (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This work envolves basic options of human visual sense, describes matter of depth perception. We analyze binocular vision of humans, its limits, which must be considered, and followed when trying to project stereoscopic pictures. Then, we mention the most common methods of stereoscopic projection, reader is made acquainted with their options, advantages, and difficulties. The biggest part of this work is dedicated to the optimalizations themselves. They are focused on the most effective rendering of 3D scenes using stereoscopic technology. The effort is to make the best stereoscopic engine as possible and to inspect and improve displayed scene, so that the stereoeffect would be the best. Trivisio ARvision-3D HMD was used for testing purposes.
Binocular vision
Ambros, Martin ; Drastich, Aleš (referee) ; Fedra, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the physiology of binocular vision for the acquisition of spatial effect from two-dimensional images passive and active technologies. At the beginning is described physiology of the human sight and binocular vision with his ontogeny in childhood. Next section is devoted to history and main stereoscopic technology like anaglyph, INFITEC, technology using polarization light, shutter glasses, head mounted display, autostereoscopic displays and their combination. Further it describes procedure by proposal of scanning dynamic scene by the help of two identic videorecorders. In the last part of this work is described implementation of scanning dynamic scene, processing in a program Matlab and results of subjective classification by group of observers.
Binocular vision
Hanus, Rostislav ; Hrubeš, Jan (referee) ; Fedra, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is concerned in the binocular, or a spatial vision and stereoscopy. The first part is about the physiology of spatial and principle of vision. Next point of the work is addressing the implementation of synchronous scanning of static scenes using a pair of identical cameras. Implementation was carried out by two remote-controlled IR triggers. Another chapter is about stereoscopy, which is solved by the principle of image processing at a final spatial image. Image processing of stereo images is solved by using anaglyph. The last chapter describes how to build a program that is part of the work.
