This thesis thematically deals with Uzbek minority in Prague, which was formed during the last two decades. Main part contain and analyze the structure of the Uzbek minority, and I used the statistics concerning number, working and educational activities, gender representation, territorial decomposition, crime and infringements of residential regime of Uzbek immigrants. I focus also on determination of expanse and method of integration in the majority society environment, patterns of behavior and thinking and culture aspects of everyday life in the minority group. From the research methods I use survey, in-depth interviews and participant observation. I place emphasis on the definition of "push" and "pull" factors of immigration. In addition, I document how the Uzbek Immigrants assess social and cultural environment of the host country, their attitudes and opinions to the people of the Czech Republic and members of other nationalities, especially to those with whom they come in a host country usually in contact, and how they integrate in the Czech environment. I also pay big attention to the changes that took place in the Uzbek community during life in the Czech Republic, including the period after 2008 due to the recession of Czech economy and restrict working opportunities and perspectives....
Presentation of the regime enemy in 1950s.
Hykešová, Marie ; Mücke, Pavel (advisor) ; Hlaváček, Jiří (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The main aim of my diploma work is to show the representation of the class fighting and the class enemy presented to inhabitants of the Czech Repub- lic in the first half of 1950's, particularly during the period of Stalinism. This reflection of the class fighting and the class enemy is a consequence of reading newspaper and poetry published in the defined period. This period is characterized by bipolar dividing of the world in two blocs: socialist and capitalist that declared different contradictory ideologies. This di- viding resulted from the Cold War and both blocs were mutually competing for the final victory of one regime. Socialist bloc described rivalrous capitalist bloc in an unsightly manner and it was knowingly spreading fear of its enemies either coming from the capitalist bloc or at least co-operating with it. So my work demonstrates describing the enemies of socialism and work- ing class and also features that were attributed and ascribed to them. The con- trast between these two blocs were often used for this description. The socialist bloc was the sphere of welfare and progress while the capitalist bloc was the sphere of evil and decay. There are also narrator's memories of the 1950's to sketch in the atmos- phere of the defined period. Selected narrators recall their lives in...

Evaluation of lifestyle of people working in multishift operations
PECHOVÁ, Vladimíra
The topic of the bachelor thesis is "Evaluation of lifestyle of people working in multishift operations". The aim of the thesis was to assess the lifestyle, actually its risks, of people working on shifts in terms of their gender and age. The thesis consists of a research and a theoretical part. The research part focuses on the sphere of rational nutrition, smoking habits, alcohol consumption, physical activities and awareness of healthy lifestyle. Quantitative method in the form of questionnaire was used for the research. The target group was formed by people working on shifts at worker positions. The research sample consisted of 98 respondents. The goal was not only to compare the monitored risks between men and women, but also to compare these risks between the age groups under and over 40 years of age. The theoretical part deals with health care in the Czech Republic, labour prevention care, the role of a nurse in labour prevention care and the individual lifestyle components. We set 3 hypotheses in the thesis. Hypothesis 1 "People working on shifts at worker positions are aware of the healthy lifestyle principles" was not confirmed. Hypothesis 2 "The healthy lifestyle principles, i.e. non-smoking, rational nutrition and physical activities will more often be adhered to by women than men" was confirmed. Hypothesis 3 "The lifestyle, actually its risks, will differ in the compared groups (under and over 40)", was also confirmed. The respondents showed obvious unawareness of the values of blood pressure and total blood cholesterol, eating habits mostly did not reflect the food pyramid, there was a high portion of smokers and passive smokers in the research sample, regular alcohol consumption and lack of physical activities were also confirmed, high portion of respondents with BMI over 25 also proved in some of the monitored groups. The results of the thesis may be used as a guide for labour prevention care doctors and nurses in talks to employers, defining the concrete aims of intervention in the lifestyle sphere. The thesis may also by used by nurses within education of workers.
