Impact of Juvenile Indebtedness on Subjective Experience of their Quality of Life
ŠVARCOVÁ, Anna
The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of adolescents' indebtedness. This is a topic that is not very reflected, but is very current. Qualitative research has been applied to the empirical part. To achieve the set goals and obtain the necessary data, the method of questioning and the technique of semi-structured interviews were used. The aim of the research was to find out what the subjective experience of the quality of life of indebted adolescents is. During the research of the bachelor's thesis, emphasis was placed on individual aspects of their lives. I followed up with the goal, which had the task of mapping the causes and consequences of indebtedness for this target group. The last goal of the research part was to find out whether adolescents have the motivation to repay their debts. The presence of debts in life has a negative effect on the subjective perception of quality of life. Indebtedness affects several areas of life, including health, relationships, leisure and behavior. Adolescents have the motivation to repay debts, but in connection with debts they are not satisfied with their own lives. One of the obstacles to reach satisfaction is the insufficient saturation of needs that are not met in connection with debt. The bachelor thesis could be useful in the field of social work, especially for students in this field who are interested in insight into this issue. The work could also be an incentive for social workers, who are not yet involved in the prevention of indebtedness in children and adolescents.

Veselá, Tereza ; Hořák, Jaromír (advisor) ; Pelc, Vladimír (referee)
Problems of juvenile justice In my diploma thesis I deal with the issue of criminal justice over youth. Using the research analytical method, I try to describe juvenile delinquency, its causes, the development of juvenile delinquency in our territory and current legislation. I also devote other parts of the work to specific means of sanctioning young people, especially protective upbringing and imprisonment in its unconditional form. I am also subjecting the current legal regulation of these institutes to a comparison with other European regulations, from which we could be inspired when regulating the system of criminal justice over young people. I supplement the theoretical basis with statistics on juvenile delinquency and the administration of juvenile justice in the years 2016-2020 in order to provide an overview of not only the theoretical side, but also current practice. Keywords: Juvenile, youth, offenses, measures, protective upbringing, imprisonment

This thesis deals with juvenile justice and focuses mainly on procedural issues of punishment of juvenile criminality, which considerably differs from punishment of adult offenders. The need for specific treatment of youth comes from experience with mental development of adolescents which is not fully finished at their age, and that is why we need to approach them carefully as they need greater care and protection. Juvenile criminal law presents the sum of deviations from the general arrangement that can be used only in relation to juvenile delinquents and whose aim is to protect them against criminal future and guide them into finding suitable social position. Czech Republic regulates juvenile criminal liability, its sanctioning and procedures of solution to criminality by Juvenile Justice Act No. 218/2003 Coll. This Act divides the youth into not criminally liable children under the age of fifteen and criminally liable juveniles in the age between fifteen and eighteen.
