Combined Heat and Biogas Production Using Bioreactor
Brachetka, Jan ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the use of anaerobic digestion in households to process biological waste and produce biogas. The goal of this work is to design a small-scale household anaerobic biodigester which, thanks to the possibility of continuous feeding with fresh material, will be capable of uninterrupted operation and biogas generation. The introduction defines the principle of aerobic digestion. The main part of the theoretical analysis is devoted to the description of anaerobic digestion and the factors that condition its formation. The basic properties and composition of biogas, as well as the types of household bioreactors, are also described here. Subsequently, the thesis focuses mainly on the design and construction of a household bioreactor, its commissioning, and evaluation of its energy balance.
Biogas technologies
Martanová, Iveta ; Jecha, David (referee) ; Beňo, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor's work deals with technology of conception and production of biogas from biodegradable waste. In the introductory part there is elaboration of biogas facts, the principle of biogas origin and the usage of biogas in practice. The main part is dedicated to individual technology of the biogas production. There are descriptions of technological equipment for gas producing and descriptions of individual methods of waste processing indicating their advantages and disadvantages.
Production of electricity and heat out of biomas
Inwald, Jan ; Bartošík, Tomáš (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to describe new possibilities for using biogas for electric and heat production and to propose a technological solution.
Design and Implementation of Modular Bioreactor with Use of Wasted Heat
Peterka, Michal ; Bajko, Jaroslav (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to extend the existing project of further use of waste heat from biodegradation processes and to improve bioreactor design. The first part summarizes the theoretical knowledge of the use of biomass and waste resources. The practical part is initially focused on the development of the bioreactor structure, the following part deals with the use of heat pipes for heat dissipation and the last chapter is about heating the fermenter and collecting the generated gas. Designed construction of the new bioreactor proved to have more advantages than the previous type. Heat pipes have a great potential for heat dissipation from the bioreactor, next steps should lead to a system of interconnected heatpipes and controlled heat dissipation. Biogas consumption initially seemed like a good idea, but the processes within the fermenter are more complex than expected. After a short time, the processes inside the fermenter have stopped, therefore this path of research will require further exploration.
Utilization of biomass energy
Horváth, Martin ; Bok, Jaromír (referee) ; Procházka, Zdeněk (advisor)
Restoring sources of a energy and their development brings questions how these can be these sources the best utilized. The main aim of my bachelor`s thesis is an acquainted with methods of biomass conversion to energetic potential and his advantage. Than is mentioned proper project of the biogas plant and calculation of produced electric energy quantity in select cogeneration unit base on data on specific excrements production bred pigs and biogas production from slurry. The result is a variant evaluation of economy of the biogas plant operation for agricultural enterprise according to number of bred pigs and possibility of electric energy utilization.
Biogas station
Freisleben, Jan ; Hájek, Jiří (referee) ; Houdková, Lucie (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is describe the technological composition of biogas stations, substrates and the process of fermentation.
Biogas plants
Hudečková, Eva ; Moskalík, Jiří (referee) ; Fortelný, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with biogas plants. In thesis are described suitable inlet feedstock for anaerobic fermentation, described proces of fermentation and there are mentioned basic elements of biogas plant. In next part of thesis was described concrete biogas plant and there were worked out energy and economic balance. In simplicity there were calculated return of investment and economic benefits for farm.
Energy utilization of biomass through wet fermentation
Odehnal, Lukáš ; Linda, Jakub (referee) ; Kalivodová, Markéta (advisor)
The final thesis focuses on the energy utilization of biomass and the description and calculation of the energy balance of a specific biogas plant, Valeč near Hrotovice. The text is divided into five blocks, in the first block the sources of biomass and its subsequent energy use are discussed. The second part covers processes and technologies using wet fermentation. The third chapter describes a specific biogas plant. The fourth part calculates the balance of electricity and heat production, and the last chapter of the thesis summarizes the calculated values and compares the technology used with other possible sources.

Posouzení budoucího vývoje zpracování kalu na ČOV Modřice
Zidek, Michal
This diploma thesis deals with the sludge line at the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Modřice. In the theoretical part is briefly described the general principle of the wastewater treatment plant and more detailed description of technologies used in sludge treatment on sludge lines of larger WWTPs. There are also mentioned new technologies for sludge pretreatment as well as some new perspective technologies for thermal sludge treatment. In the next part the sludge line at the Modřice wastewater treatment plant is described in more details and there are presented places from which the data for the practical part were obtained. The practical part compares the acquired data from years 2015 and 2016. These years are compared with each other, then they are compared with the design parameters of the sludge line during its reconstruction in 2004. In conclusion, on the basis of the evaluation of the obtained data, there are presented proposals that should lead to the improvement of the sludge line function.
