The influence of parents' divorce on the social behavior of children in adulthood.
RŮŽIČKOVÁ, Lucie
This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of parents' divorce on the social behavior of children in adulthood, and the goal of this bachelor thesis is to find out what impacts a divorce of parents might have on the social behaviour of their children in adulthood. With regard to this goal there are research questions asking how adults perceive the experience with parental divorce and how individuals perceive the impacts of parent's divorce on their present life in their adulthood. The practical part was carried out by means of qualitative research applying the technique of semi-structured interview to the data collection. This method not only enables us to obtain information on particular issues but also to focus on unique experience and views of each communication partner. The research contains interviews with ten adult individuals that experienced divorce of their parents in the past. It is obvious from the results of my research that the experience gained from divorce of parents can be both inspiration and a lesson for the future for adult individuals, however, the impacts they get from this experience can hardly be avoided. Nevertheless, thanks to their experience and the impacts they can define their preferences and priorities in their lives. The key point is to be able to work with their experience and the impacts and to find sufficient support from their families, partners, friends or specialists. The outcomes from this research can contribute to therapeutical and advisory services for families and individuals facing these challenges, and they can also provide valuable information to workers from departments of the social and legal protection of children, who deal with such problems and might use the research outcomes to improve their understanding to their clients and the ability to help them.
Symbolism in William Golding's Lord of the Flies
ŠIMÁNEK, Jakub
The subject of this thesis is W. Golding's novel Lord of the Flies, which was written in the post-war years of the 20th century as an experimental allegorical work set in a fictional dystopian future and is at the same time a relatively realistic depiction of possible events in a closed human community. The thesis starts with an introduction of the author of the novel and his life experience that influenced the work. It will then attempt to place the work in the context of British post-war prose with regard to the genre of dystopia and, in an interpretive analysis, it will examine elements of allegory and literary symbolism, the development of individual characters, and the transformation of specific symbols in the novel. The core of the thesis will be an analysis of the main theme of evil, the dark side of human nature, and the failings of a closed community made up entirely of children (boys). The thesis will conclude by reflecting on possible alternatives to the existence of similar communities in an isolated environment and the possibilities of a positive scenario in the given situation.
Social Worker and His Role in Education
BRTNÍKOVÁ, Veronika
This diploma thesis describes the role of social workers in the educational system. The theoretical part focuses on where can we find social workers directly at school, description of their job, as well as information about funding and legislation. However, if we take a closer look into the schooling system, the school social workers are often absent. Despite the fact that the school as an institution primarily fulfills an educational function, it also plays a large role in the socialization of the child and the school environment must be prepared to deal with these situations. There is a possibility of applying the social workers as a connecting link between other workers of the multidisciplinary team, pupils, their families and other facilities. However, there has to be an emphasis on the correct setting of personnel management by managers. The main goal of the thesis was therefore to find out whether other employees of primary schools in the South Bohemian Region also perceive the need for this particular position. A quantitative type of research, a questioning method and a questionnaire techniques has been used in order to obtain feedback from the experts. The data from a questionnaire survey of 580 respondents has been collected, in which they confirmed the need for help in the social area for the most part. The decision would also depend on other aspects that are mentioned and elaborated in the research results. The topicality and results from a large number of qualified respondents can be considered as the greatest contribution of the thesis. It could also have an impact in introducing social work into schools. The overall results can also serve to increase the interest of experts and the general public in the issue of school social work.

Schwarz, Jan ; Sýkora, Josef (advisor) ; Škvor, Jaroslav (referee) ; Volf, Vladimír (referee)
Summary: With the development of the Industrial Revolution and the associated lifestyle changes, the incidence of idiopathic bowel disease (IBD) is gradually increasing. Chronic intestinal inflammation is thus becoming an important group of autoimmune diseases whose incidence and prevalence are increasing significantly worldwide. Monitoring the incidence of pediatric IBD may contribute to the identification of clinically relevant risk factors. The exact etiology and pathophysiology of IBD is unknown; it is a complex interplay of intestinal dysbiosis, epithelial dysfunction, activation of the immune system and environmental influences in a genetically susceptible individual. Epidemiological data point to a very significant influence of environmental factors. The development of IBD is mainly associated with factors that affect the microbiome and the immune system of the individual. Among the most significant risk factors is diet, which exerts its immunomodulating properties from the newborn period to adulthood. The primary aim of this study is to prospectively monitor the incidence of pediatric IBD in the Pilsen Region (PLK), to analyze the data and compare them with available data from the Czech Republic and worldwide. To minimize the risk of incomplete data, an application was created to prospectively...

How communistic propaganda influenced Czechoslovakian radio's programs for kids between 1968 and 1974
Kaňka, Josef ; Groman, Martin (advisor) ; Bednařík, Petr (referee)
Since the beginning of its more than a hundred-year history, Czech and Czechoslovak Radio has offered a number of programmes for child listeners. Whether it was fairy tales, educational and journalistic programmes or special formats not found in programmes for adults. Children themselves could often participate in the creation of the content. In the politically turbulent 20th century, during which radio experienced the beginnings of democracy, the Nazi occupation, the long socialist era under the control of the Soviet Union and the return to freedom, media content also changed depending on the social situation. From dramaturgy, to form, to content as a key factor. This is especially noticeable in the case of the totalitarian regimes. By excluding or, on the contrary, frequently repeating certain topics and treating them in a critical or servile manner, the representatives of the ruling establishment were able to control the dominant discourse and, with it, influence public opinion and suppress the critical voices. In addition to news and journalism, drama could also be used for this purpose. Using various media outlets, a fictional reality that may have little in common with the real situation can be created very effectively. The aim of this thesis is to search for, analyse and compare these...
