Resuscitation and AED
Mrázek, Petr ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the techniques of resuscitation as well as its history and advanced options. First aid is mentioned only marginally because it isn’t the main purpose of this study. Recommendations for resuscitation are changed every 5 years. Therefore the texts are primarily based on the recommendations of the Guidelines 2010. Other chapters and subchapters focus on the effects of electrical currents on human tissues and on the closely related topic of defibrillators. The automated external defibrillator (AED) is described in more detail due to the assignment of this thesis. It also includes a description of the defibrillation pulse generator and the teaching presentation which describes the AED resuscitation procedure.
Defibrillator
Kubů, Veronika ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is devided to six thematic areas. At the beginning we deal with the anatomy of the heart, as it is especially important for a good understanding of cardiac muscle activity. In the following part I summarize the heart activity in terms of both biological and of electrical activity, that occurs during its operations. Furthermore, it is necessary to analyze the potentially dangerous conditions occurring during heart aktivity and their solutions with the help of electrical discharge and without it. The most important part of the whole work is a defibrillator itself. First, I summarize the theoretical knowledge and then I focus on the design of an external defibrillator, a device intended for use by professional medical personnel or by the general public. Finally, it is important to note warnings resuting from manipulating with electrical current.
Design of defibrillator
Pokorný, Martin ; Lehocký, Peter (referee) ; Zvonek, Miroslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design of defibrillator. It is a medical device for restoration of proper heart rhythm. The proposal respects the current production, but should draw their own concepts. The actual solution consisting in a combination of manual and fully automatic defibrillator. Applicability should include a wide range of expertise. The proposal is completely prepared in compliance with all aspects of construction of defibrillator.
Automated external defibrillators in theory and practice
Burianová, Lucie ; Sojková, Monika (advisor) ; Heczková, Jana (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the treatment and importance of location Automated external defibrillators in the particular units of Integrated Rescue System. In the theoretical part I describe basic anatomy and physiology of heart, patophysiology of selected cardiac arrhythmias. The largest part is devoted to Automated external defibrillators. In the several parts I explain philosophy of defibrillators, description of instruments, indication and contraindication of use, correctly use of defibrillators, the pros and cons their use in basic life support. In this bachelor thesis I write history of defibrillation and Automated external defibrillators. I mention studies, which were performed on this topic. In the practical part the quantitative method was used in the form of anonymous questionnaires. The survey was conducted at the particular units of Integrated Rescue System.
