This diploma thesis captures the development and changes of the primary school in the village of Sepekov in the period 1948-1989, when Czechoslovak education was under the influence of communist ideology. It describes changes in the school system of a national character and their specific impact on the functioning of the local school. The first chapter briefly deals with education until 1948. The other four chapters are divided according to the legislative changes in education during communism. This creates a comprehensive picture of the described period.

History of Education in Domažlice in 1945 - 1989

The diploma thesis deals with the historical development of education in Domažlice in the years 1945 to 1968. The work is divided into five chapters, which are connected one to the other. Initially, the work is focused on school legislation, which also had an impact on the development of the school system. Subsequently, a brief history of the city and its education from the Second World War to 1968 is outlined, it completes a general view of this topic. The next chapter deals mainly with the primary education, and i tis focused on selected schools. It describes the development of school buildings, the teaching staff, the pupils and their school teaching, and important events which have affected the life of the school in some way. The last part of the work is focused on extracurricular education, especially on the development of music school, which is also included in the school system.
Training-college in České Budějovice from the beginning of Czechoslovak Republic to 1946

This thesis aims is to describe teacher training colleges in České Budějovice between the years 1918 and 1946. The work is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical and empirical part. The former describes the historical period as well as the history of education and teacher education. At that time there were four teacher training colleges focused on general education in České Budějovice: czech teacher training college, a german teacher training college, Teacher training college for Women by Congregation of the sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and Teacher training college for Women by Congregation of School Sisters de Notre Dame in the house called U Sv. Josefa. Each institution is presented, including the information about its establishment, location and system of education. There are no chronicles or reports preserved from the Teacher training college for Women by Congregation of School sisters de Notre Dame in the house called U. Sv. Josefa, therefore, there is not much information available. The empirical part of the thesis is concerned with the comparison of a typical school year at each institution. Additionally, it focuses on the school years 1918/1919 and 1938/1939, which are critical milestones for the history of Czechoslovakia. The numbers of male and female students are presented during the given period. All the data is summarized, compared and shown graphically.
Financial statements of schools from Třeboň region in the 1st half of the 19th century

This bachelor work presents an academic edition of financial statements of six basic schools from a deanship of Třeboň during the period from 1812 to 1866, namely schools in Branná, Břilice, Lužnice, Mladošovice, Stará Hlína and Třeboň. The work is based on the statements from the collection {\clqq}School financial statements 1772 {--} 1869`` that is deposited in the National Archive in Prague, and on the literature relevant to the history of education and administration. The school financial statements were submitted in Bohemia constantly from 1772 to 1869 when the church control of schools ended. The teachers reported their salaries and a number of all schoolable children from their area. The preliminary study of the work consists of five chapters. The first one maps today{\crq}s preservation of the source. The second chapter depicts the administrative situation in Bohemia in the 1st half of the 19th century to set the formation of statements in the connection with the particular institutions of school administration. The following chapter tries to describe material provision of teachers in the monitored period. The fourth and fifth chapter concentrates on the edited file of statements from Třeboň region, namely on a diplomatic and content analysis of statements and their changes during the 1st half of the 19th century. At the end of the study there is a proposal of possibilities how to handle these statements as a historical source. As the enclosure to this work there is the edition of statements that most faithfully corresponds to the original pattern. In the enclosure there is also an editor{\crq}s note with explanation of kinds of editions and fundamentals of transliteration, the list of abbreviations, local and name index and illustrated attachments with extracts of statements and parts of attached seals and rubber stamps.
The development of the elementary educational system in Kladno district (1869-1918)

This diploma work is meant as a historical study and is divided into three chapters. The first one is focused on the elementary development of the educational system in the Czech countries. Except of the description of the beginning of the education and the reform in the 19th century there are also essays about teachers education, school rules and school board. In the enclosure there is decribed in details the goal of the locals and towns schools. The main chapter is devoted to the history of the educational system in Kladno district since the proclamation of the Hasner's law to 1918. The chapter outlines the beginning of the education in our region, the rise of the District School Board in Kladno and it mentions about the activity of the school board and primary describes the particular schools. The third chapter presents the significant pedagogical personalities of the region whose teacher's beginnings are connected with some of the mentioned schools. Premonstratensian Education in the Czech Territory in the 19th Century

Premonstratensian Education in the Czech Territory in the 19th Century This specific study contributes to the knowledge of the Order in our territory in the course of the 19th century and it explores the activity of the Premonstratensian in the schools established by them. The topic is approached in the broader context of the education of the examined era. The study explains the characteristics of the schooling and education organisation system as well, focusing on the specific problematic of religious schooling and education from various points of view. As part of the argument, the Order of Canons Regular of Prémontré is described and an evaluation of its educational activities in the course of all the history of the Order is provided. A significant part of the study is dedicated to the Strahov Abbey and its educational facilities, especially to the schools that were restored or undertaken by the Order in the researched period. The conclusive part characterises other schools run by orders in the territories of Bohemia and Moravia.
The fight for Reich's school law amendment in 1883 and the response in Czech press at the time

This thesis handles with the events concerning the school law amendment from 1883. It is well known that it was considerably controversial as well as regressive school policy in the Austrian Empire. This policy was aggressively fought over. One of the most prominent characters of the fights was František Tilšer - the only czech member of parliament that didn't vote for the reform. He became the target of incendiary press campaign. This thesis will briefly introduce the legislative developments of school law since the beginning of compulsory school attendance up until the aforementioned amendment. The core of this work lies in analysis of the given problematics in Czech and German period press. The text analysis deals with papers that present wide range of opinions: Národní listy, Politik, Bohemia and Čech. The thesis is thus a probe of political culture of the second part of the 19. century in the Habsburg monarchy as well. Chapters from Ladislav Malý's Life (1862-1956)

The main aim of this thesis is to describe the personality and life of Ladislav Malý (1862-1956), a teacher, writer, traveller and amateur national historian, who put forward the foundation of the Museum of Příbram. The thesis also tries to situate Ladislav Malý's life into the context of the era and to assess his importance in the history of Příbram, the Příbram region and the Habsburg monarchy, respectively the Czechoslovak Republic. The third task of the thesis is to assess if Ladislav Malý fits in this context and whether or not, in some way, he is out of it. The story about Ladislav Malý is not strictly chronological. As the title "Chapters from Ladislav Malý's Life" sais, the individual aspects of his life (teacher's work, writing, traveling, etc.) are described separately to make them easier to understand and to place them in the overall picture of the era of second half of the 19th century till the middle of the 20th century.
