The energy crisis and its possible solutions in a selected municipality in the Czech Republic
NOVOTNÁ, Karolína
The thesis focuses on the energy crisis and its alternative solutions within a selected municipality. Three research methods were used in the thesis, namely a questionnaire survey, a household real consumption survey and a semi-structured interview. The aim of the thesis was to find an alternative solution and then to determine the willingness of the residents of the selected municipality to accept it, given a higher price offer, in relation to the completed education of the individual and his/her income category. A biogas plant located near the selected village was offered as an alternative source of electricity, where the aforementioned interview was also conducted. The interview served to establish the feasibility of this proposed solution. The work was conducted as a community energy sector model where the biggest source would be a biogas plant.
Electric vehicle charging solutions in apartment complexes
Machajdík, Marek ; Poulíček, Matěj (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
In the work, public charging stations are classified, their description is given, and is added information about the compatibility of charging stations with current electric cars. Information of individual electric car charging using wallboxes is summarized and their characteristic features and power limits are listed. Considerable attention is paid to V2B technology and the possibilities of charging electric cars in multi-unit apartment buildings with their own parking space. The work will also include a file used to calculate a suitable solution for charging electric cars in an apartment building. The final part of the work is devoted to the solution of charging electric cars for a specific apartment building using the created calculation file.
Analysis of energy balances for energy communities
Pavlík, Libor ; Kučera, Michal (referee) ; Paar, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of the state of energy communities in the EU and the Czech Republic in order to provide a comprehensive view of their functioning and potential. Key aspects of energy communities are discussed, including the legal framework and technological options. The main objective of this thesis was to analyse the possibility of applying community energy to the municipality of Bánov. Based on the analysis, several options for the development of energy communities in the municipality are proposed. The performed calculations and analysis serve as a basis for assessing the potential and effectiveness of the proposed measures.
Support for Community Energy in the Czech Republic
ŘÍHOVÁ, Karolína

It assesses the presence and effectiveness of these tools in favour of community energy initiatives. The aim is to provide a comprehensive overview of the current situation and identify potential areas for improvement. This study offers an integrated perspective on existing initiatives and points towards potential directions for further research and the implementation of measures supporting community energy in the Czech Republic.
Simulating daily load profiles to evaluate tariff structures
Abdallah, Hadi ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
Tato práce se zabývá simulací denních zátěžových profilů pro účely vyhodnocení tarifní struktury. V první části práce je uvedena rešerše ekonomického hlediska dodávky elektřiny, tedy trhy s elektřinou, návrhem tarifů a tarifními strukturami v Česku a dalších evropských zemích. Model, implentován v prostředí Matlabu, používá Poissonovo i Binomické rozdělení.
The final thesis deals with the development of community energy in connection with the use of the potential of renewable energy sources within the territory of LAG Brána Vysočina. The main goal is the identification of the potential development of community energy and the use of renewable energy sources. As part of the theoretical anchoring of the issue, the literature search was focused on presenting the development of energy in the Czech Republic and the EU, explaining the concept of community energy and its barriers and opportunities associated with it. Furthermore, some examples of energy communities within the EU, initiatives on the territory of the Czech Republic are presented, and the entire literature review is concluded by the legislation of the Czech Republic related to community energy. An important aspect of the final thesis is the view of the member municipalities of LAG Brána Vysočina on the issue of community energy and the use of RES. A questionnaire from Enkis, s.r.o. was used to collect qualitative data and a semistructured interview with fourteen respondents. The goal is to evaluate the approach of individual respondents to the concept of community energy, perception of barriers and possibilities for the development of this concept. Based on the information obtained, general conclusions can be drawn indicating that the respondents perceive the development of community energy as beneficial, but at the same time rather problematic from the point of view of the absence of legislative grasp. Furthermore, the financial barrier is often mentioned, due to the lack of funds for the implementation of the energy community. Technological obstacles in terms of energy infrastructure are also pointed out.
New institutes in European energy law in the context of environmental protection
Kostić, Daniel ; Sobotka, Michal (advisor) ; Fabšíková, Tereza (referee)
1 Abstract Climate change and its solution is with no doubt one of the most important topics of this decade. As the top producer of greenhouse gases that contribute to this change, the energy industry must transform. However, the switch to production from renewable sources comes with its challenges and so it is a task for law to enable adoption of new practices and solutions. Energy production will face more frequent fluctuations so it must be supported by storage. Furthermore, the energy system must be prepared for entry of new actors, ensuring level playing ground on energy market. European union embraced the position of a world leader in this area and comes with complex legislative changes for member states. However, the speed and quality of its implementation varies while the imaginative clock of climate collapse continues its course. Key words: energy storage, community energy, active customers
